One item $ 4.29; Two items combo $ 5.39; Three items combo $ 6.49 Hungry me and the big baby decided to dine cheap Chinese. Treat for the pocket book and quick eats. Second time here and it’s better to do so earlier in the day than late — fresher food, more choices. Both of us ordered 2 item combos. We have enough left over for our dinner. The to go box they fill up is ‘flow over’ full. I’m glad their chow mein is not greasy either. The attendant cut up the barbecue chicken for us and removed the chicken skin. It’s not sweet like Hawaiian barbecue but it’s not over-salted either. It’s a quiet restaurant. The service is easy. The Soda is sold by fountain or in cans. DON’T THROWAWAYTHECHOPSTICKS they have reusable ones… but I personally wouldn’t use ‘em cuz they looked wooden. Why I would recommend dining here? Quick, affordable, and to support your local small business!

First of all. The girl up front didn’t even greet us. As she was serving the food she had the decency to take some out of my already served plate and place it back into the warmer. Then!!! She rolled her eyes when I said something about it. Their food wasn’t even good. It tasted old and plain. Not coming back for sure

So I tried this place twice. The first time I was served a smaller portion than I would have been happy with, and the food tasted like it had been sitting for a while. But it was the end of the day so I figured that’s what I would blame. So I tried it again, with the same results. Customer service is also not great. Maybe I’m wrong, but I all NOT be visiting a 3rd time, I really was hoping to change my mind because of how close it is to home.

Awesome Chinese food! Authentic hole in the wall style. We came like 30 minutes before it closed so we kinda only got the left overs but it was still good. The missing star is just for their customer service. I felt like the lady was disturbed by us showing up late. She never smiled or made me feel welcome at all. But as far as the food it was great! Also, they should invest in fixing their store name light outside because I had not noticed it in the 6 months that we have lived here.

This place has the best lunch special deal in Riverside! Don’t really know why there are so many people on Unilocal who seem to dislike China Wok Inn… we have never had anything to complain about any of the many, many times we have been here over the last few years – lunchtime, dinnertime, or any time at all. We found it by accident one night and came back the next day to try the advertised special: it is indeed a large plate overflowing with two sides(we usually get two portions of chow mein instead of rice, though both are tasty), one entrée, one egg roll, and one can of soda. Everything we’ve tried has been good and fresh-tasting, it is always clean inside, and we have always either gone away with leftovers or very very full stomachs. The people are nice enough, too; twice they made us some steamed vegetables instead of the available meat dishes when we asked them to. We’ve never felt rushed or uncomfortable being in there and it’s always been a good meal. Definitely recommended!

Amazing owners who work hard and give quality food! Also, unlike Panda, they don’t rip you off. Enough food for 2 people in their $ 5 lunch special(a drink, an egg roll, rice, chow mein and an entrée). Always fresh food and never disappoints. And quick service is always a plus! Definitely recommend.

This place is closest to my house and one day I decided to try it out. I didn’t think Chinese takeout could taste any different from place to place but I have to say this one is the worst. The flavors are bland and the quality of the chicken is questionable. A big disappointment your better off going to Chinatown, much better food.

Chinese food cooked by non-Chinese. How do I know this? Because the Asian drinks they sell aren’t Chinese. They’re either Vietnamese or Taiwanese. It’s tough to be sure being that I’m Filipino, and the Philippines is an English-speaking nation. Bet you didn’t know that. As far as China Wok is concerned, they keep the food out as long as possible before whipping up a fresh batch of food. On my last visit, there were about 2 scoops of Kung Pao Chicken, Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce, Chinese Mixed Vegetables, and Teriyaki Chicken in each individual tray. The only«fresh» dishes, and I use that term loosely, were the Beef & Broccoli and Hot Pepper Chicken. 2-item combo comes with your choice of white or fried rice, chow mein, and 2 entrees(under $ 6). There is no egg roll or drink to complete your meal. A can of soda is $ 1. I wouldn’t bother with the egg roll though(remember the trays). I always go with steamed rice and pass on the chow mein(who needs the extra carbs). I used to visit place frequently when I lived in Riverside. Ownership has changed since then and so has the flavor. It’s not as good…

This place is the essence of Chinese american food. Its exactly what I want when I want to have a movie night with my boy friend or order take out when I need to stay up late and study. Its not going to be as good as some fancy restaurant, but its feel good comfort food that never lets me down. I will definitely be making this place one of my regulars.

New to the area have been looking for a new Chinese place. Saw people walking out with food. Should have checked Unilocal first! So disappointed. Don’t waste your time.
