Community care on Palm is filled with very hard working and compassionate people, from Administrattion, to Nurses, to CNAs, Acitivity Directors, Cook, kitchen staff to housekeeping staff. My Grandmother passed away while living at this facility 4 and a half years ago. She lived at what we lovingly called, «the Palms» for many years. Her reason for placement was Alzhiemer’s Disease. My grandfather went to see her every day, and made a true connection with staff, that gave him tremendous support and compassion. He felt so at home there, that he continued to go there after my grandmother passed away. He was like a volunteer. My Grandmother was well cared for and loved by many staff members, even though this disease of Alzhiemer’s made her into not always a nice patient. I am very grateful for this group of people and what they did for my Grandparents during those difficult years. I also will say this facility is very clean, and the food is very good, the environment is very home like inside and the grounds as well. I do recommend this facility, and I will add, my grandma was not private pay, she was Medicare/MediCal.

Be careful during the admissions process. This Alzheimer’s facility is highly discriminatory against Medicare/Medicaid patients in the intake process. The Admissions Manager and Administrator are less than honest in this regard. We were assured that a bed was available for my mother-in-law and had all the paperwork in place. From one moment to the next, we were dumped for a «cash-paying» customer and refused admission. So sad to see games played with elderly Alzheimer’s patients and their families.
