Ive had many things on the menu and all of it has been great, its a eat outside kinda place next to a laundry mat and gas station, there is alot of traffic in the area so they get alot of business. They keep the tables clean and they have alittle hand washing station to use tip go after or before dinner cuz it gets packed. Now on to the food the tortas are Delicious and the flautas meal awesome, the burritos and tacos all great and the prices are cheap. Just go…

I just ordered to go. carnitas burrito rice. no beans. 80% of the burrito was rice. And ordered number #13 chili Colorado. the pic says it all. beans watery and the chili is black taste burnt. looks like dog crap in the to go container. After waiting g 15 mns for this non edible food. The carnitas were pieces in the burrito nothing bigger than a sliver… disgusting.

The best Mexican food I’ll ever have: everyone knows how much I love this place! I got at least twice a week now

The burritos here are delicious. they could use a little more meat though. i would still recommend it as a great lunch spot!

The food is so good… once you eat here, you will crave for more! Only thing that sucks is cash only & sitting is out side. it’s a very small place but the food is amazing. everyone who, I have taken here love the food… prices are really cheap too

Cash only so don’t forget but The price is super good for what you get. The food is very good & it seems the quality has changed for the better. They make these fried shredded beef tacos that are awesome!

I came here a few months ago, walked up to the counter, and waited around 5 minutes for someone to take my order. I made eye contact with a guy who was cleaning the hoods and two chicks that were just standing there watching him, still no assistance. I don’t think they’ve ever heard«customers always come first» . I just said fuck this and walked away. this place is pretty crap anyways.

I used to order takeout with my coworkers at least once a week, a few months ago i ordered and the food order was screwed up and a rude employee. Today I decided to give them one last shot with another co-worker. I should have known better. The burrito special was the size of the plam of my hand, the«topped with lettuce tomato and sour cream» was more like half a tablespoon of sour cream and half of a slice of a tomato– oh and the rice was cold. Tried calling to complain– no manager available and unable to help me. I won’t be giving them another shot.

beyond disapinted. Ordered a wet red burrito with pastor. The meat was super salty, the rice was, too. The red sauce was super tomato like, with no flavor. It was gross. Two stars coz my kids liked their flautas. I wouldn’t go back.

One of the top burritos I have had here in the Riverside area. Friendly and fast costumer service.

I would give this place a one star because the lady at the front register was a sweet heart, but the food I ordered was chicken tacos and one carnasada. I’m a taco Tuesday fan like no other. This was the worst taco I ever had. Dry taco shell tasted old. The meat had no flavor and was $ 2.95 when we all know that’s $ 3.00! I didn’t finish is and was so grossed out I lost my appetite for tacos for awhile. This place is a Mexican Resturant and I’m very disappointed in a place who served the worst tacos I’ve ever had. Step up and taste your food before you serve it, please.

Good cheap Mexican food. I’m not giving them five stars because they kinda take a while to give you your food(about 18 minutes) & they forgot to give me my drink. I was far when I noticed so I never went back.

9÷18÷152:50 my total is $ 14.80 and just because it’s short by $ 0.20 they denied us the free chip because it had to be $ 15REALLY pretty mess up!

So we tried this place out for the first time today because El Corral was packed and there was no where to sit. We’ve been debating on trying this place out based on Unilocal reviews but were always skeptical because of the way it looks. But don’t judge a book by its cover, right?! Anyway, I decided to try the Flautas with Shredded Beef and my husband tried the Carne Asada Burrito(wet) and the Deep fried Tacos. We received complimentary chips and salsa because our to go order was over $ 15. I thought the Flautas were okay as well as the rice and beans. The Carne Asada burrito was decent but the sauce they used on top was a little strange. The deep fried tacos were pretty good. The chips were delicious but the salsa was just okay. All in all, the food was just okay. We still prefer El Corral but we might come back again.

We literally used to come here with no exaggeration at least 4 times a week until we recently moved away from the area, with that said we really missed the food from«our» spot or what i thought was our spot because today its officially my last time here. Before we even placed an order we were given the most unwelcoming look a person could give to their customers and it always has been the same thing. We decided to come anyway even before she always has had an attitude and this look on her face that just makes you want to regret ever coming here! the other gals are really nice and friendly but she just… I don’t know if she extremely dislikes working here or dislikes us?! so if anyone else feels the same way feel free to comment on the pic or the review. I don’t know if the reviews are supposed to be based on the place or the food or the customer service. Everything else is great and everyone else! Anyway if you feel like spending 30 dollars on tacos and get an unnecessary attitude over it and not enjoy your food then she would be the lady to come see.

3.5 Stars — I’ve been coming here less and less. I know my dukedom here will suffer but I’m beginning to find other great Mexican places in the area. Not only that but the quality here has been suffering as of late. The last couple of times I’ve been here the meat has been awful. I recently noticed that they over cooked my meat so much that it almost looked black. It hasn’t happened again, but on another recent visit they put a couple of fat pieces of the meat in my burrito. Blah! When a friend had mentioned to me that he stopped coming here because of that reason i just mentioned, I didn’t want to believe it, but now I’m starting to take notice. I’ve seen the staff change over the last few years so I’m wondering if owner/management has changed the way they prepare the food. One thing that hasn’t changed that has me coming back is the red sauce! It has a roast taste to it but will have you sweating by the end of your meal.

I ordered the chicken Flautas and they were fantastic. The tortilla was soft, yet crunchy. The beans are good, rice is a little bland. I made the mistake of using their red sauce on a chip and that stuff is HOT. I was so impressed with the first meal that I went back again for breakfast, and I had to lower my original review. My egg and chorizo breakfast burrito was super tasty but full of egg shells. I guess I can be happy that the eggs are fresh but I wasn’t expecting the extra surprise with my food. Prices for everything here are amazing. I will probably be back, just not for breakfast.

I went back to this place for breakfast because we had a good experience with dinner. I ordered 4 regular breakfast burritos.(2 bacon, 1 machaca and 1 chorizo) it only cost 9.25 which is awesome. The problem we had was with my wife’s chorizo burrito also included lots of egg pieces throughout, yes nasty. The bacon burritos were ok but my dads machaca had those mystery pieces(bone maybe? Cartilage?). Overall happy with price but sad with the actual product. I’d pay more for good product. My advice is stick with the bacon burritos. The only thing that might go wrong is some egg bits.(Which is really unexceptable.

Mr. B and I were thinking that we needed Mexican food. Our own home town is littered with small Mexican restaurants, and honestly some of which we swear by. So it was risky at best to venture to another neighborhood, but we had to try. El Colima is a funky little place with a walk-up window and the drive thru. The only seating is outdoors on hard unmovable benches, by no means comfortable seating, but is under a roof. I cannot even imagine it in the heat of summer. However, it is quite clear, they have a good following. Saturday was the day we came, and they were setting up a few extra folding chairs in anticipation of the peak hours. It was also strange to see a portable hand washing station next to their trash. NOT that any of that influenced my final opinion of the meal itself. Unfortunately, I did not fall in love with most their food. I did like their chips and salsa(free if you eat there), and, if anything, I would recommend the chicken flautas. The chicken was moist and delicious, and the flour tortilla was beautifully crispy. I did try a shredded beef one also, which was decent, but the chicken was the hands down winner. It came with respectable mound of guacamole and sour cream. I had high hopes of finding a great chile relleno. Unfortunately this one was barely average. Theirs was made with a California chile with the seeds left in, making it a touch spicy. Personally I prefer the thicker, sweeter, chewier, and usually milder Pasilla chile, so this was a big disappointment to me. The cheese filling was a mild, white Mexican cheese, but the batter was a bit too thick, and the sauce was a creamy orange version and flavorless. Let down. Mr. B’s combo included a crispy taco with shredded beef(OK) and beans and rice. The beans and rice were not worth writing about. While prices are quite good and service fast, they did not impress us enough to want a repeat opportunity.
