Kirkland Termite

I should have posted this sooner but I’ve been settling into my new house for the past few months.
I first met Terry Kirkland last year when he came to inspect a house I was on the verge of buying. The owner already had a clean termite inspection from a well known, local termite company and asked me to pay a few hundred dollars for dry rot repair as part of the closing costs. I agreed but wanted a second opinion. Terry was recommended by my agent.
Long story short, Terry’s thorough inspection revealed extensive long term damage and active termites with repair and treatment estimates in the thousands! Needless to say, the deal didn’t go through and although disappointed, I was extremely grateful to Terry for his honest, professional and objective opinion. He saved me a fortune.
When I made the offer on my current home in May, Terry was my go to guy. Again, the owners had their own report and repair work already completed by (no surprise) the same termite company from the last deal so I was happy to pay for a second inspection. Terry found additional areas of damage that needed repair and pointed out the sub standard work done by the «other» company. (I won’t mention their name here but they are a favorite of many real estate agents in Redlands. Perhaps because they don’t delay escrow with accurate inspections and pesky repairs? I don’t know but «buyer beware» … read reviews extensively before making your choice!)
I highly recommend Terry Kirkland for EVERY buyer (and honest seller) of homes in this area. His inspections are thorough, his reports are detailed and objective and his repair work is excellent. It’s nice to know there are still people out there with high standards and Terry is one of them. He deserves 5 stars and more for doing a great job with the highest integrity. Don’t hesitate to use him!
