I am not even going to read the reviews. I am a solo diner today on business… the décor, service and food are all spectacular! I am in awe over the flavor of their salsa. The simple quesadilla I ordered was fantastic too. They are not stingy on cheese or cilantro! I wish I would be back… like… tomorrow!

Beautiful décor outside, nice customer service, but food was disappointing. Rice was extremely hard, chile verde pork had no flavor and to top it off it was so overpriced. If you’ve had the authentic stuff do not bother coming here unless it’s just for drinks.

It gets this review because of the ambiance. I can get past the over priced food on one of the those warm summer nights in this garden setting. Usually not a long wait if you don’t have a big party, the service has been good. It’s definitely a bit over priced in my opinion but the food is good enough.

This place located at Mission in was at one time worth the money. Our dinner yesterday evening was disappointing and expensive for the quality and taste. The only highlight of the meal was the chips and salsa. The drinks, though strong, did not taste right. I had a blended margarita– I returned the first one and the replacement wasn’t much better. I am not sure if it was the mix or the tequila that was bad, Neither tasted right. For 25 plus for each plate, the tacos were oily, the beans and rice lacking any flavor or heat. My son’s Carna Asada lacking in flavor as well. The last time we ate here was last year, then the food was good but something has happened and we are not going back.

I loved the chips, and the vegetarian tostada was delicious, the best I have ever tasted! Washed down with a big, beautiful Margarita and I was one happy camper! Only thing that could have made it better would have been some live mariachi music!

IT’S GREAT! Love the Latin vibes this place have off. And the food! It was perfect, the menu was simple I liked how it wasn’t overwhelming picking what to eat. The music is also a nice touch that pulls it all together I went here for my birthday not knowing what to expect and I was 100% happy. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone

The food here is phenomenal! I usually order the shrimp enchiladas, they are very generous with the shrimp. The service is always amazing. Only time we’ve had to wait to be seated was yesterday 5÷7÷16 due to inclement weather. The waiting was rather pleasant as well. We ordered some drinks at the bar and sat in the lobby where they have several lovely seating areas. The Margaritas are huge! Definitely recommend trying one. The ambiance is romantic yet relaxing. I don’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have 5 stars on Unilocal,it’s one of my favorite restaurants.

I really enjoyed my experience here. I went on a Friday evening. The hostesses and our waitress were attentive and friendly, we were even checked on by other waiters who were passing by… Not in an annoying way either. We didn’t have reservations, but we put our name on the waiting list and received a text 30 minutes later letting us know our table was ready. The 30 minute wait was not a bad thing at all, there’s so much to do/see at the mission inn and in DTR so the time flew by. We were seated on the patio by a quiet fountain, surrounded by lit palm trees. The weather was perfect for the evening, but if it wasn’t there were heaters near every table. I ordered fajitas, playing it safe, and they did not disappoint. Overall, this is a cute date night restaurant. The décor and atmosphere are romantic, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. What more can you ask for?

Looking at the other reviews, I’m shocked. These people are complaining about the most asinine things. Take a look at their absurd complaints and you’ll realize that they’re the problem they’re horrible customers to begin with. «My water had ice! One star!» «The guacamole was spicy! One star!» Um, the menu clearly states the guac is made with a Serrano pepper. This place is wonderful, as evidenced by the crowd all the time. Yes, the restaurant is small so expect to be waiting if you don’t have a reservation(ORIFYOUCOMEFORTHEFESTIVALOFLIGHTS, DUH.) I’ve been here many times and the service is always great. The food is really good(some of the best Mexican food this side of the border). Their drinks are amazing. And I’m sorry, if you complain because you waited before you got seated or that food is too spicy or that your food was too hot in temperature(um fajitas usually come in a sizzling pan and most people wouldn’t complain that there’s too much meat on them) then that’s on you. Mexican food is made to be spicy, use your white mouth to tell them you can’t handle spice.(And for what it’s worth, it’s not spicy at all for people who actually have a palate) Yes, it’s a little pricy, but you’re eating at the mission inn, so that’s to be expected. The menu is online, look at it. By the reviews left by other people, I’d say they’re better suited for Taco Bell. But if you want good Mexican food, come here.

The fajitas are delicious here as well as most of their dishes. I love the salsa and chips. The staff is always on point,(if you get outstanding service, please take the time to tell a manager.) it’s outdoor dining, and they have many heaters. This is a great date place.

Riverside is not a vegan-friendly city. Las Campanas is no exception. The only thing on the menu that is vegan is the guacamole. Fortunately, we love guacamole and chips! We ordered a couple«grande» margaritas and a couple orders of table-side guac. That was enough to fill us up. Both the drinks and guac were 4-star. Prices: Drinks(after replacing the reposado with blanco): $ 18 each, but they were about 24 ounces! Guac: $ 15 each order(2 avocados + fixin’s) It bugs me when a place has dozens of open tables, but you are told it’s a ½ hour wait. Once we were seated, service was 5-star.

Okay, I’m a regular to this restaurant, yet the service always has serious kinks in it. So why do I go back? Because there is a very small selection of fine dining restaurants in Riverside and we don’t always want to drive to Orange County or Palm Desert. We had dinner there just 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night and I ordered a shrimp enchilada, the waiter warned me that the plate was extremely hot and of course the enchilada was burnt. It was the worse shrimp enchilada I’ve had and there was so much cheese, I could just taste the shrimp. To make the experience worse, they now only take reservations for parties of 7 or more… really? Out of all the hundreds of 5-star hotels I’ve dined at, I’ve never know one that doesn’t except reservations. What 5-star service is that if I have to put my name down and wait an hour… oh, yes that would be Cocos or Denny’s. What a joke!

I am giving 4 starts because of the service and atmosphere. The restaurant is located outside under a sea of café lights, and surrounded by fire pits, heaters and trees. Very romantic for a date and a beautiful setting for dinner with friends. The service was great and very attentive, however the food was not as great as I had expected. I think I set myself up for a higher expectation due to the look of the restaurant. The Carne Asada dinner was very good, and full of flavor due to the excellent seasoning and the Guacamole Fresco made at our table was a nice touch and also very good. Unfortunately the food ordered by my family: the Carnitas and Chile Rellenos was not as good. Dine or Dash? The atmosphere will definitely bring me back to dine again.

This review is for the date of 12÷19÷15. Had reservations for 8:30pm. It was raining, so they moved the seating inside in the lobby of the hotel. I understand that weather is beyond their control, so I’m not taking points off for that. We arrived at 7:50pm and saw that there were three tables empty near the check in area. We asked if we could be seated early, and the answer was no. They were waiting for people to get there that had reservations at 8:00pm. Okay, this made sense. We went back up at 8:10pm, and were again told that they were waiting for some 8:00pm reservations. I asked if they were waiting for three tables since there were three empty. We were told again that we couldn’t be seated. At 8:20pm we went up again and they finally agreed to sit us at one of the three empty tables. The other two tables sat empty until 9:00pm when they sat people there who had walked up and didn’t have reservations. Not a good start. One strike. We were seated next to the bar and a little balcony that jutted out. There was an extremely loud group that spilled out onto the balcony and then down around our table. When I say around our table, I mean that they completely surrounded two sides of our table, and an iron railing was on the other side, so we were blocked in. One girl had her arm draped across the top of my chair. They were swearing and yelling to be heard over the noise. We could not speak to one another. I finally got up and asked that the manager come over and ask them to move. He did come out and ask them to move, however they went up to the little balcony and one of the girls was screaming to be heard and continued swearing. He never came back over to see if things were okay. Two strikes. We ordered our food and drinks. They could not make the guacamole table side, so they brought it from the back and it was extremely spicy. Our meals came pretty quickly and the shrimp cocktail was divine. My friends husband and I ordered the chile rellenos(which I have ordered there before and loved). He took one bite of his chile and started fanning his mouth, and said the chile was very spicy. I took a bite of mine and started coughing and choking because it was so hot. The waitress came back over and I told her that I couldn’t eat my dinner, so she took it away. She said every once in a while the chiles are hot like that. My friends husband could only eat one of the rellenos because it was so hot. They must not have removed the seeds and membranes. Strike three. We waited for the waitress to come back and clear our plates, so we could order dessert. And we waited… for 30 minutes… the waitress said she had to go find out which Casey’s Cupcakes were available. She finally came back over and we ordered dessert. My friend and her husband ordered cupcakes and we ordered another dessert to share. We sat with our dirty dishes in front of us for 30 more minutes, and even after the desserts were served. We then waited an hour for our server to bring the check back with our credit cards. ANHOUR!!! Strike four. If this had been my first time to Las Campanas I would never return. The only redeeming factor in this fiasco was the beautiful lights and decorations. Almost everything else was terrible. I was so disappointed since it was my friends birthday and she really wanted to go to the Mission Inn. I would rather go somewhere else for my $ 20 per plate(and higher) meal. There are many other places to go in the Inland Empire… and I will give my business to those other establishments.

We came here Sunday night for dinner, and we’re so impressed! we were in line for the inn, but heard the lighted area was closed so we decided to eat here because the patio is decorated. a lady escorted us in, got us seated, told us we got to see all the lights because we were dining here. it was like being vip! upon sitting, Santa came to speak to us and told us some interesting facts about the lights. it was really neat. the service was perfect, our server was very nice helpful and professional. I wish I remembered his name bc good service plays a big part of making an experience great. they constantly refilled our water, and the food came out fast. the chips and salsa are good, esp the salsa. nice flavor, balanced spice. we got some guacamole too which was excellent. I ate so much of it! the food was really delicious too. the only thing for me was the chicken enchiladas were mainly cheese not enough meat for the 16 $ you pay. I took a star off for that because I had to fish through the cheese to get chicken but the flavor was really good. i thoroughly enjoyed my meal. my boyfriends dish was flavorful as well. forgot the name… a pork dish in a soup bowl with tortillas. I’d get that next time it was so good. tender pork in a delicious broth. the rice and beans were yummy too. some places treat those as after thoughts but these had good flavor. This was such a great dinner and date night. definitely recommend, Esp if your here for the festival of lights

My boyfriend surprised me to dinner here last night and I was in ahhhhh with how beautiful this place was. Tons of lights, they decorating and getting ready for Christmas which I can only imagine how gorgeous that will look. Our dinner reservation was for 7pm and we got there about 30 min early and we were seated right away. Beautiful scenery, romantic in my opinion. Our server was super nice and helpful. Chips and salsa were both amazing! Dinner was delicious. I would highly recommend This place to everyone.

I’m a fan. 2 of us had dinner on a Summer weeknight and it was about 75% filled with customers. The ambience is amazing; it’s calm yet engaging. The service was spectacular. We waited quite a while for our appetizer but that wasn’t a big deal. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We had the tabletop guacamole and it was good.

Great food at a decent price! Food: I ordered the soft tacos with chicken. The meal came with three tacos, refried beans, Spanish rice, and chips and salsa. They give you enough food for 1.5 people. I loved the food, especially the chips and salsa! Side Notes Ambiance: They have lots of seating, but it’s only outside seating. If it’s a hot day, you may want to order to go. Also, there were a ton of flies, so it was a bit hard to enjoy the food with them flying around and landing on the food. Service: The service was good; waitress came by frequently to refill our waters. Overall: The food is real good. I would recommend ordering to go, so you don’t have to deal with the heat and the flies.

Overall, this was a nice hotel associated restaurant! The food was good, the portions were huge and ambiance was nice. It was expensive for a sit down mexican place, you can find much cheaper, but the food is actually good and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the area. We had the Sopes appetizer(this is huge, easily a meal with leftovers) and the chicken fajitas. The fajitas were a little greasy, but the chicken was fresh and the peppers were cooked well. I liked the corn tortillas as well. The margarita is a HUGE size, so be prepared to be hammered if you get one. That was unexpected.

I LOVEMEXICAN food but it usually is heavy and puts me in a comma so I generally avoid it! I was meeting up with a friend for lunch and it was her turn to pick! Her restaurant choices are usually better because she is my Foodie Friend and for the most part has impeccable restaurant taste. In the past I’ve NEVER been disappointed. Too bad I can’t say that with this place! She calls and makes a reservation and we show up at our designated time ONLY for me to find out that this restaurant is OUTSIDE! Now I am on the fence with eating outside because it usually comes with uninvited GUEST in the form of flies, gnats, ants, and other of God’s creatures that I don’t care to share a meal with! Not ONLY that this day Lucifer and friends decided to take a holiday in Riverside so it was FRICKINHOT and HUMID! NOT a GOOD combination when it comes to eating outside for me! With the weather being so FRICKINHOT I didn’t have much of an appetite but I was going to make the best of it because I was with my friend and we ALWAYSHAVEFUNTOGETHER! We were seated upon arrival and offered ice water as our butts were hitting the seats. BRINGITON! Of course by the time the water got to the table there as NOICE to be found inside the glass because it was what… SOFRICKINHOTOUT! The restaurant does a GEATJOB in having shaded trees and umbrellas that they have NOPROBLEM in moving around to help block the sun from frying you like a piece of chicken! We ordered their famous GI-NORMOUS ritas to get the festivities stared. Why NOT suck down a DELISH Mexican palate quencher when you are at a Mexican restaurant. When in Rome… right? I got sugar on the rim and GOTEB got salt. By the time my drink got to the table the sugar had melted creating a sticky YUCKY mess on the glass and the stem. I was NOT pleased! It wasn’t there fault BUT it was yet another annoyance aside from the heat! I will say it was FAB-U-LOUS and tasted pretty much like a traditional Cadillac and apparently a couple files though so too because they were dive bombing my drink! We FINALLY stopped talking long enough to peruse the menu and order. I got the tacos. I figured it was something easy and since I didn’t have much of an appetite I could take home what I could not eat and they would warm up nicely! GOTEB got the tostada and they had chips and salsa already at the table! Our food was ready in no time and we dove right in! I wasn’t too impressed with my tacos, the beans or the rice! Everything had a pretty LACKLUSTER taste and I was happy I wasn’t really hungry! It could have been the heat but I think I know GOOD Mexican food when I taste it regardless of the heat! And this wasn’t it! GOTEB seemed to like her tostada and it look FAB as well! I was happy that Casey’s Cupcakes allows the restaurant to serve there cupcakes and provide the restaurant with the daily flavors! I got the strawberry and GOTEB got the lemon/strawberry which had fruity pebbles on top! She LOVED it and it was GREAT to NOT have to stop by and pick pickup dessert afterwards! You can get it to go or they will put it on the plate if you want to eat it in the restaurant. Either way Casey’s was a NICE treat! I got mine to go and enjoyed it later after I got home and OUT the FRICKEN heat! I was melting like butter on hot asphalt! Aside from the miserable heat and sweating in places I didn’t even know existed and the food being so-so I had a NICE time hanging out with my friend! Her company NEVER disappoints but sadly the food her did!
