I was recommended by a friend to come to this office. And us would recommend them to anyone. Going though my divorce was alone was very stressful. But once I went to them and hired them it all went very smoth. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a layer.

Mr. Edgar, Mr. Roark and his entire staff were very professional at all times and willing to work with my case which was quite complicated. They provided me the support I needed in order to get through finalizing my divorce. Both Mr. Edgar and Mr. Roark, Charlene, Amy and Maritza promptly provided me with the documentation required by my mortgage company so that I could continue to fight in keeping my home which was in foreclosure. Both attorneys were always prompt, well prepared and professional when representing me during court hearings. The lines of communication were continuously kept quite clear. There were no surprise charges or hidden fees. They were very accommodating and understanding of my situation. Everyone on his staff has gone above and beyond to help make sure my needs were met and maintained a high level of professionalism. I have retained Mr. Edgar since 2010 and he still continues to help. I’ve been in a extremely long custody/​child support battle that won’t seem to end. His knowledge and experience in Family Law is vast. His staff has been absolutely wonderful!

I chose this attorney because they had good reviews and was one on the list of my provided legal insurance. This law office did not keep me updated on what the next steps were, how to prepare for anything, I had to keep asking and ask the right questions. The initial paralegal I worked with was rude and didn’t communicate with me very well. For example, I requested a restraining order that sat in their office for 1 week before I called and asked the progress. I was terrified about the other party and was so upset that it just sat there. I asked for more counseling and information on steps that were going to come next in my divorce and the did not provide me with anything other than «don’t worry about it», or «just show up». Luckily I did research on my own but was still unprepared during my hearing. Edgar came just prior to my hearing but then another lawyer showed up for my hearing. The 2^nd made me feel like my agreement with my ex on custody and visitation was a mistake but moped, sighed and sulked when I said, «ok let’s change it». He also had the wrong information and was asking me important questions in court in front of the judge. My ex didn’t have an attorney and I didn’t feel like I was at any advantage having one. When I spoke with Mr. Edgar personally during an appointment saying I was disappointed in how things were going he was cold and acted like our meeting was a waste of his time. He didn’t take the time to look through my file. He said things like, «I don’t know the answer to that, I don’t have your file in front of me.» When I asked him why he didn’t have it during our appointment, he said, «I could go get it. It’s just in the office next door.» As he continued to stare at me and NOT get my file. I could see this guy was a jerk and didn’t care at all. Amy, a newer paralegal, was excellent, friendly and on top of most things, but the lawyers were awful. I recommend going somewhere else if you want someone to actually care or give you any advantage, counsel, advice, help, in your divorce.

If you’re going through family issues for which you need an attorney, look no further. Sadly, I’ve needed his services repeatedly (I like to call it Divorce Plus, sounds less depressing). We won EVERY time. I kept my all of my property and didn’t have to pay alimony. Now that’s a win!

Absolutely the worst attorney! I had a slam dunk case. A father who hadn’t seen his kids in six years. Broken into my house vandalized my property. Had a mediator recommendation stating that he not have private visitations. And mr Edgar scared me into believing because my ex spouse was a police officer a judge would favor him and I would get less time with my kids. I am still in a custody battle this day without an attorney because I was cut off from all financial resources I had due to this agreement. He failed to file a freeze of assets in the beginning allowing my ex to take all money we had. When I would ask him what we were doing in the case he would simply state if I didn’t like the way he handled the case file a substitution of attorney form. Eventually when my money ran out mr Edgar filed to be dismissed from my case leaving me without representation. My ex continued filing for continuations and after speaking to several attorneys afterwards was told that he demolished my case. i will be looking for legal recourse with this attorney and his firm and will every chance I get dissuade another individual from going to him. I would hate to see another individual’s life broken to pieces because he is in it for money and Will let it drag till there is nothing left. Then dismiss. When I went to speak to him about dismissing me I saw a stack of request to withdraw from cases on the receptionist desk waiting To go out. Please take your life seriously. Stay away from mr Edgar! He gets one star because they have no negative stars!

Mr. Edgar and his team were very helpful in assisting with my divorce and resolving my additional child custody issues. They took care of all the details for me, and kept me informed every step of the way.

I selected Lauren Patterson as my representation after interviewing a total of 6 attorneys. I am currently going through a divorce and custody battle with my ex. Wasn’t a fan of the price, but well worth the work. He gets the job done when you really need a pinch hitter in court. Great for battling for your kids when the other party is guilty of domestic violence and/​or substance abuse. He really cares about his clients and is very compassionate when it comes to paying the bill, he tries to work with you when others won’t even let you walk in the door.
