The pupusas here are amazing! But the customer service is terrible. We went there and they charged us 2.50 for water with lemon. Who does that?! It was obviously tap people! The food takes forever to get, so don’t think about getting there hungry or you’ll probably die from old age or starvation before you get the food. Bottom line is, go somewhere else. You can get the food with better service elsewhere. #areyouforreal

I am giving this place a 1 star due to the fact that their customer service was completely horrible. It took forever just to get our food and on top of that, they charge you $ 2.50 for a cup of TAPWATER that they call water-natural. The food was delicious but their customer service is weak and I will not be coming back to this restaurant. There are better pupuserias out in Riverside than this place. –Angry Black Man

I only even consider one star because of the fact that the pupusas are good. However, customer service is HORRIBLE. I went in ordered about 8 pupusas and then when I wanted to take a couple drinks, I couldn’t decide whether to buy the Mexican horchata, or the Salvadorian one. I asked if I could try their Salvadorian horchata since I had never tried it and she said that if I tried it and didn’t buy it, she was going to get really mad at me. Just say no, we don’t give out samples, geez!!! Need I add that she was very rude when she said this to me and I feel like they kind of enjoy it. If you can get past the horrible service, this place is good. Oh and on Wednesdays they have $ 1 pupusas, make sure you know that only cheese, and revueltas are $ 1 because otherwise, chicharron with cheese are $ 1.99!

The pupusas and the tamales are delicious in this place! Heck, even the rice tastes very nice too. The portions are reasonable on the combination plates. The workers are not necessarily friendly but they aren’t rude either… and that’s fine. On Wednesdays you have the revuelta special for $ 1. Overall this has nice authentic food from El Salvador with very good prices. My main gripe is that it takes forever to get your order. So I just call in now and pick up my order! Be willing to wait around 30 minutes to get your order…

This place is kinda hidden parking is all the way inside next to a car wash. Came here from Moreno Valley to order some platinitos for my kid and they are all out. Which is crazy because they just open not even an hour ago. I order 3 pupusas de chicharron con queso and the chicharron was non existent.

I would get negative stars if I could. The ladies that work here are so rude. They literally treat you like crap, and seem to really enjoy being rude and disrespectful. They laugh at you if you any questions about your order, roll they’re eyes, ignore you I cannot believe they continue to get away with treating people like this. Do not come here worst customer service ever.

Good pupusas but horrible service. The waitress seemed upset when i asked questions about some of the items on the Menu, she also laughed each time I didn’t know what certain stuff was. I’m NOT Salvadorian. The pupusas were good but I will not be going back.

Legit! Legit! Legit! Legit! With a big smile in my face, this place is as Salvi legit as it gets. I am kicking myself in my rear for not coming here any sooner. By far the best Salvi food in the IE in my opinion so far, even better than café pupusas in flavor. Now the place is a little shabby since its rubidoux but don’t let the location fool you. Even inside is not that great but the food makes up for it. Also what I like is that my order didn’t take as long as other places even if this place was busy when we arrived. They also sell homemade Salvi bread and have a party supply store inside. Definitely will be a regular customer.

This is the first time i have come here and it’s a small and quaint little restaurant with an authentic Latino feel. Their specialty true to their name is pupusas :)

What happened Miguelena!!! The pupusas were super dry and you skimped on the chicarron and cheese. I’m so disappointed. :(

I went to get my car washed one day and I went into this restaurant to wait and get lunch and maybe read some. It was not busy and I was in no hurry. I waited at the front while the waitress/host was chatting with a guest which is fine. What is not fine is the way I was treated. I was very disrespected when I asked for a table for one. I heard the women speaking English when I walked in but when she came up to me she spoke Spanish. I politely said I did not speak Spanish. She then paused and looked me up and down and continued speaking Spanish with an attitude. I am disappointed this happened because the food looked delicious but that was a very bad experience for me and I will not be going back.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m the type of girl that takes FOREVER to figure out what I want from the menu, but that doesn’t mean that the waitress has to be rude about it. I simply cannot stand bad customer service so I’ll think twice about returning although their pupusas are pretty decent… and big. Agua de ensalada was ok, I was a little nervous about the cilantro in there. The décor is actually nice, you wouldn’t think so due to its location.

I love this place. If you have never been you should try it. Papusas are awesome. If you have never had them they are like extra thick tortillas with meat and beans and cheese inside. They come with this yummy Salvadoran cabbage stuff, it reminds me of Kim chi? And 2 different sauces hot and hotterer. Pepsi in the can.

I have searched for El Salvadorian food all over southern california, and have eaten at some really great places. This place has phenomenal pupusas. The wait staff was so friendly, and the service was great and surprisingly quick. So happy to have found a pupuseria close.

FINALLY, visiting this pupuseria after living in Riverside for 3 years! My friend and I had been meaning to eat here since we found the deliciousness that is pupusas! Although, the location is right next to a mechanic(i think), the food really speaks for itself! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in El Salvador(or any Central American country for that matter), the décor was so fitting and had maps, a beautiful mural, photographs, flags and fabric hanging from the ceiling. It just felt like a very warm and inviting place. The woman who seat us was very unbeat and helpful! Thankfully she spoke English really well so I didn’t have to bust out my Spanish. She came back quite frequently to check on us & conjured up conversations(I find that better than simply being our waiter and not saying a word). I ordered the famous revueltas pupusas, beans, cheese & pork! It was awesome! The pupusas were not crazy oil & had a good amount of stuffing in them. My friend ordered the menudo, which he raved so much about! With the oregano, chili flakes and all, it was like watching him eat Mexican Phở. He thoroughly enjoyed it! Also, I got the horchata, which they give you a choice between the Mexican horchata & the El Salvador horchata. The main difference I see is that — the El Salvador horchata is not as thick and has a little kick to it, whereas the Mexican horchata is creamier and sweeter — TAKEYOURPICK! I without a doubt recommend this place for pupusa lovers all over the world! It comes at a great value too! I will definitely be coming back :)

Place is decent… I had the pupusa«revuelta»(A LOT of cheese) I’m not salvadorian but I have friends who are and I’ve tried authentic… this is so so… I really did enjoy the«empanadas de platano» they’re fried plantain with what seems to be rice pudding inside… pretty good…
