Great atmosphere, delicious coffee and smoothies. I’m so glad I went and found this hole in the wall. I will definitely be back!

A must-stop when I’m in Riverside. There’s been at least two other coffee shops at this location that failed, but Sage is here to stay. I predict it will become one of RI’s secret coffee shops that won’t be so secret within a few years. The café itself is warm and welcoming and they usually have excellent music playing to fit the ambiance(I caught some Explosions in the Sky going once!). It’s very relaxing to hang out there so put some time aside to sit and take it all in. Jill and co. are very friendly and always find time to talk to their customers. Most coffee shops in RI serve New Harvest coffee now, which is good, but Sage offers a unique blend that stands out from the rest. They offer scones and muffins from a local bakery that are the best I’ve ever had. The cinnamon pear is my favorite so far. Go there for the crepes, but take a scone to go! I recently had a blueberry cheesecake crêpe that tasted exactly how it sounded. Amazing! I normally get the nutella and peanut butter crêpe, you can never go wrong with that. They also serve up savory crepes if you’re not in the mood for sweet. They also offer healthy smoothies, and bagels with whatever you want on them. They don’t offer meats though, but egg, cheese, cream cheese, and even avocado is available. They have outside seating when it’s warmer and they always offer seasonal crepes and drinks too. They’re closed on Mondays though, so the only drawback is that they’re not open 24⁄7. lol

I love this place! Very cute coffee shop/café. The coffee is great and I love the baked goods. I’ve had blueberry muffins, bagels, and crepes. They also have a lot of items from local artists. We picked up a cool anchor hook thing. The owner Jill is super friendly. Stop by when you’re in the area!

I went to Sage with an old college friend, and while it’s small, it’s such an awesome place if you want to catch up and chat :) The coffee is brilliant, and the people are kind.

This is our first time here and what a great experience. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We had the Nutella crêpe and apple muffin. Delicious! And there are a ton of gluten free options too. We had our 2 children with us and its kid friendly. We will be regulars here for sure.

Friendly service, as far as the ice coffee goes it’s not too bad. But don’t expect to add soy milk or almond milk to your beverage. Moving on to the crêpe, egg and cheddar, crêpe was too chewy and not to much flavor in it at all.

Awesome little coffee shop with even more amazing crêpe and smoothie selection! We came with our 16mo old and loved this place! We will definitely be back!

Great crepes, great service and a really nice atmosphere! The Mexican crêpe is delicious. They have lots of gluten free options. I like the food more than the coffee but it’s still pretty good!

I used to come here about once a week it is such a cute and convenient place to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. Awesome place for breakfast especially! They have sweet and savory crepes, I always get sweet. My favorite is the blueberry, honey and lemon but they’re all fantastic! Jill the owner is so sweet, and she always makes my latte perfectly… Their scones are homemade and so decedent! Toasted with butter is unreal :) There’s a lot of local art, jewelry, gifts and homemade candy for sale in there as well Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere The only downside is that it’s not open right now :(

Sage is the best east bay coffee shop hands down! I’ve been coming here for over a year and feel so lucky to have found this sweet spot. Starting off Jill the owner is a delight. She’s great to chat with and takes time to offer and explain all of the delicious drinks, treats and food sage offers. Which is delicious! The crepes are great! My personal fave is egg, spinach and cheddar.; but they also offer sweet crepes and specials. Speaking of that for those that are gluten free, sage offer a gluten free crêpe batter as well as scones, muffins and sometimes breads which are from EvaRuths bakery. Sage supports other local businesses as well, the coffee is brought in from coastal roasters. You can get a cup of fresh joe or bring a pound home. While waiting for my delicious goods I love checking out the«shop.» Jill brings in local artists to display and sell their wares. There’s an ever changing eclectic mix of gifts, chocolates, cards and more to peruse. Seating and ambiance are comfortable. There is a small private room you can reserve and even in the winter chairs and tables are set up outside which has great morning sun! One of my fave RI coffee spots hands down!

Very warm and home-like atmosphere, plenty of seating areas, including a study/nook to enjoy your crêpe and coffee with a larger group. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The menu had plenty of choices and alternatives. The crepes we had were amazing! Nutella, peanut butter, banana and honey as well as a pumpkin and ricotta crêpe topped with pecans and syrup; both paired with cappuccinos. Very good atmosphere to indulge in a fantastic read or great conversation! We will definitely be back to explore the menu some more!

My parents first introduced me to Sage Café, saying it was one of their favorite local spots to grab breakfast. After a few visits here I can see why they speak so highly of it. The menu offers different sweet and savory crêpe options, along with some breakfast sandwiches, pastries and different coffee and tea choices. I’ve tried some of their savory crepes and while nice and light, they fill them with plenty of fresh ingredients, which results in a delicious and perfectly sized crêpe. My favorite on the menu is the Mexican. If you are looking for a nice little breakfast spot, I would certainly recommend taking a visit to Sage. The servers are friendly, its nice and relaxing inside and the food is tasty, fresh and very reasonably priced. This place is certainly a great addition to the Riverside area.

What I love about the Sage Café is that they have gluten free crepes. And that is a wonderful thing because I can get breakfast for my whole family and myself and everyone is happy. They make every effort to greet you with enthusiasm and always say thank you. Nice neighborhood restaurant, welcoming to families with small kids.

Not quite in the range of the taqueria, sushi or craft beer bar type establishments that I usually frequent but a friend took me and I enjoyed it. Great service, comfortable atmosphere and solid food. I had the Mexican crêpe and it was tasty. If you like coffee and/or crepes, it’s well worth a visit.

Much needed café in Riverside! They offer smoothies, crepes, and a variety of coffees. I only tried a crêpe, but it was delicious and I will be back for more. I grew up in Riverside and wish they were there when I was growing up! I’d recommend Sage Café.

I am so happy to say that Sage Café is still my go to coffee spot in this area. The crepes are huge and always delicious. Apple and brie is my favorite. They make a decent latte, the coffee is always hot and they have a nice little selection of Farmacy Herbs teas. They always have a varied selection of baked goods, as well. My new favorite drink is the Mayan Mocha. It’s spicy, chocolate-y and so good! I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu. It sure does get busy here on weekend mornings so if you’re in a hurry be warned that you might not be able to just pop in a grab a coffee. The line can get long and the wait for your drink/crêpe can get even longer. But I promise, if you’ve got the time, it’s worth the wait. One last note: as much as I really do LOVE Sage Café, I’ve got to give full disclosure and admit that I hate the paper plates and totally DINKY flatware!

Stopped in after an appointment in Riverside, and was totally blown away. I grew up in East Providence, and I wish a café like this existed when I was living there, because I’d of been there all of the time. I got a café au lait and a bagel w/egg and cheese, all for around $ 5 — you can’t beat that. Anytime I’m in the area, I’m going to make it a point to go here!

A cute coffee shop, creperie, and mini store all in one. The space is bright and cheery as are the staff. I was a little sad that they were only open till 2pm(it was a Sunday). Still I thoroughly enjoyed my butter & sugar crêpe — haven’t had one of those in so long, and mocha. I love finding these types of unique cafes outside of the city. Thanks Unilocal for bringing me here.

Sage Café just opened in riverside and is still the best place in EP to get a cup of coffee. This is the former location of Providence Coffee Roasters. I’m so happy that a new place has reopened after what seems like 6 months of driving by and wondering why PCR closed. Lots of baked goods and home made crepes. There is more seating than the previous coffee shop and more selections on the menu! Music playing, friendly service and familiar faces, makes this feel like the place you want to be every morning.
