Straw Hat Pizza

The salad bar wasn’t that great, the beets were odd colored and the lettuce wilted. The actual buffet had cheese sticks. Spaghetti and potato wedges. I was quite dissatisfied with this. The pizza on the buffet was just leftovers from other people’s custom orders… When you walk in and purchase the buffet they ask what kind of pizza you would like on the buffet. They have waitresses walking around offering you the rest of people’s custom pizzas. When yours is ready you get as many as you want then they put the remainder of your pizza on the buffet for the rest of the people to consume. The dynamics of this place are strange. Pizza is mediocre as is the whole establishment

Worst fuckin service in America! The manager is a complete fuckin idiot and the two dum dums in the back don’t help either! Stay away from this dirty place.

After a long 2 hour drive on a Friday in traffic from Los Angeles I was starving and I knew my sleeping toddler would be ready to eat as well. I was on a serious budget because, bills, duh… and as I exited the 91 onto La Sierra, I saw a sign… «1.99 Personal Pizza (Happy Hour)»… um… kids + pizza = happy mommy. Figured it couldn’t hurt because for 2 $ you should already know the quality to expect… but I must say, when I walked in I was scared… there were so few patrons I almost left but Nicole, behind the counter was so AWESOME!!! Every few minutes she’s checking on her guests… she’s behind the counter, she’s at the tables, she’s dropping off all you can eat pizza slices… the service is awesome. I think she needs a promotion! lol. Warm and inviting… so much so that I would totally consider driving way out here to hit up Castle Park and then finish the day with Straw Hat Pizza. A must try on a weekday during happy hour if you have that luxury… if you have small children… this place is a necessity. Low prices, games, prizes, PERFECT!!!

Upon looking around for a reasonably priced sit in restaurant to enjoy time with the family we ran into straw hat pizza reading through enough Unilocal reviews we decided to give their pizza a go and I gotta say… the lemon chicken pizza is really what it’s hyped up to be !! Really enjoyed our time here and so did the kids even though they did a lot more playing than eating, I will definitely be coming back ! Happy customer:)

Been here before couple of times and haven’t left disappointed. Place looks clean, food tastes good and friendly service.

First time here definitely not the last! The food is good! The service is excellent! Get the lunch buffet definitely worth it. Can’t wait to come back

I just came from strawhat and witness an employee go into the restroom and came out without washing her hands. I have been coming here since I moved into the area a year ago. I should of figure when I walk into those restrooms and see the same piece of trash in the corner for over a 2 weeks. I will definitely not be back.

Literally my favorite pizza!!! The lemon pepper chicken is to die for. The service is great and all the employees are very nice. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I don’t understand why it has so many bad ratings.

I’m notorious for my less than 5 star ratings, but I simply expect basic good service, plain as that.
How this place is getting so many poor ratings is beyond me. I’ve been going the past few years and could not be happier. Loved the Arlington and Madison location as well (too bad that was closed).
I call ahead, so I wait very little time to get my delicious fresh, best pizza I ever tasted, to go.
The people who work there have always been friendly and engaging, and a shout out to Ezilda who is awesome!

This place has not changed a bit & I love that. Ever since this joint moved to la Sierra it’s been kind of a bummer. No worries though I’m going to become a regular again like I was when I was a kid. The only thing missing is the OG dude, not sure if he’s working there still but I remember seeing him a while back (talk about a throw back lol). My dad even said the lasagna still taste great and the same like when it was still here on Arlington & Madison I’d give it a 5 star rating if only it was at its OG spot over here

Excellent service here, the ladies working kept bringing food to our table. I got the lunch buffet & they brought me my own personal pizza & salad & hot wings & bread sticks & a drink ~ didn’t expect much, I was only going there to appease my son, left pleasantly surprised & happy ~

The absolute worst pizza experience I’ve ever had
Not to mention the lack of service and the dirtiness of the seating area. Took someone for dinner and the pizza was so greasy and undercooked, it was emabrrassing

Food is good… BUT this establishment needs to hire Busboys ASAP tables are dirty and no one comes to pick up plates of clean tables. Bad thing looks bad and dirty. My husband and I clean a booth so we can seat and eat. We waited for our food for more than 30mins

This is by far the best pizza restaurant in Riverside-​The food here is great the salad bar can’t be beat. So if you want some delicious food a good place to bring your family bring them here-​keep up the good work Jim

Good pizza. But, the lunch pizza buffet was not as great. It took forever for new pizza to be sent out. However, the buffet also had salad, cheese bread, bread twist, spaghetti, potato wedges and cinnamon buns. Also, it includes a drink with the buffet. The rest of the food was good except the dessert was a little hard in middle. I might return because I have always enjoyed their pizza.

My kids get certificates for a free personal pizza from school often so we have given this place a try several times. I enjoy taking the kids at lunch time, I get them their pizzas and I order the lunch buffet. The buffet has a salad bar as well as pizza, spaghetti, cheese sticks, garlic knots, cinnamon rolls, and probably something else I’m missing. When I order they ask what kind of pizza I would like them to make– this is included in the buffet and they will bring it directly to the table. I typically just get the salad bar, a piece of veggie pizza, and a garlic knot. It’s filling and pretty good. The pizza is nothing special, fairly mediocre but the prize is only $ 8 for the buffet and completely worth it. I have always received excellent customer service as well.

Pizza was good, salad bar was awesome, the girls were kind of rude, no expression. But the down fall is, I now have food poisoning & I’ve been sick since 40 minutes after coming home from here.

I stopped here with my family & we loved it. We ordered a king size pizza, it took about 10 – 15 mins. It’s big & comfortable inside. They also have an arcade for the little ones.
The young lady who helped me was very nice. The pizza was great & my family enjoyed the place. I would go back!

Lots of room inside and it’s open seating. There is a game area and a salad bar. Pizza was very average but the free unlimited refills were good… sweet and unsweetened tea. All in all my kids had a good time so four stars.

All you can eat pizza plus salad bar every Monday! Tell them what you like and they will make it for you! Great for parties and Football too!
