THE JOB: KITCHEN
I am really impressed with this business from start to finish! From the beginning Ray (the owner) was accommodating. He listened to my design ideas and calculated a price that was the best of three estimates that I got. As the job unfolded, there were a few design changes that needed to be made. Despite this, he kept to his estimate and the price was as expected; there were no surprises. He is fully licensed and insured which is another testament to his professionalism. The job was a total redesign of a kitchen. He has a full crew of skilled workers led by a Project Manager named Joe. Joe is equally talented and was there working the whole time and Ray would check in periodically.
There was an item on the contract that said «daily cleanup» which I really didn’t expect to be much. My past experiences have always been pretty messy but these guys really respected our home. They swept up and vacuumed at the end of each day and were always respectful of our space. The debris really didn’t carry outside of the area being worked on which was another bonus.
The only part of the job that they didn’t do themselves was the hardwood floor. For this, they brought in a floor company to install and finish. I have to say this floor guy was not at the level of Sunray. The floor turned out fine except for the threshold between the old floor and the new floor. Ray looked at the final product and apologized to me saying, «please let me come back and fix this.» The job was otherwise completed and paid in full. They came back and fixed it themselves and it looks awesome! The kitchen is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier. I would absolutely recommend Sunray Construction for your next project. They earned a repeat customer with me and I will definitely call them again.
