Been here a few times w/my sisters. The food is good, but I don’t like the feeling that if I don’t eat everything from the all you can eat menu I can be charged an additional fee. The beauty of all you can eat is being able to try new things, without having to pay additional. Other than that, the food came out pretty fast, but they are always busy, and although they turn tables pretty quickly, be prepared to wait.

AYCE sushi for a reasonable price gets 5 stars from me. You can order as many rolls, edamame, and sushi that you want as long as you eat it. Took a while to get edamame but ordered about 6 or 7 different rolls that normally cost about $ 10 each and they were delicious. Totally worth it for $ 22.95 per person. Go Hungry, Leave Full.

Great they have good cuts the seafood with very little rice and their service at the bar or outdoors is phenomenal. Issue is that this place has very few TV so I could enjoy some sush, a beer, and a sporting event otherwise I recommend this place to anyone looking to eat a lot of quality seafood.

This is my favorite sushi place. I came here last night with a friend. I always order the same thing. But this time bake greenmusles came out about 20 seconds(did u already bake?)after that all sushi came out. I didn’t get any miso soup, vegetables tempura, fried calamari, tako yaki and edamame. I have to ask for it again(sushi first. .appetizers later??). I ordered salmon eggs. .sorry too salty :(and to much salty eel sauce on top the roll too.(eel sauce taste salty and smell burned) So just ordered the first round in this time. But I’ll come back to try again next time.

The sashimi here tastes so fresh and so delicious! I love that the cut of the sashimi is thick compared to other sushi places that aren’t all you can eat. If you like spicy crab and salmon sashimi I recommend trying the Jen Jen roll. The service here is alright. You see the workers standing around and eyeing the tables but when you try and get their attention they aren’t very responsive.

Don’t have enough room inside and pricy and much more when they cut off their dessert green tea ice cream.

Not a fan of all you can eat sushi but this place is a must whenever you’re in Riverside. There’s not much to do in Riverside besides some good restaurants to dine in. Sushi Asahi is one of them. Lunch special is so cheap around $ 14.99-$ 16? Dinner was around $ 18-$ 21. Great deal for ayce sushi. The quality is not bad. They have a variety of choices. Pretty good for an ayce sushi :)

I decided to try this place out last night with a friend of mine and was thoroughly disappointed. The«baked» rolls literally came out within 30 seconds of being ordered… wasn’t fresh at all. Nothing I had tasted fresh, and the terriyaki«chicken» didn’t look or taste like chicken… gross. However, service was decent which is where the 2 star rating comes from. I recommend Joe’s sushi down the street on Magnolia, much better!

I don’t understand what most of the reviews were talking about. The sushi we ordered was not fresh, especially the scallops and the rolls were small, messy and not sauced well

Great food, service was okay, could of been a lot better. They sat us outside on a super hot say after a 45 min. Wait. I will probably never go back because it is Far from my house and it is a really small place. They kept getting all our all u can eat orders wrong. And forgetting stuff we ordered. I’ve been to better sushi spots to be honest The fact that we weren’t seated in the AC restaurant on a 84 degree day pissed me off. My kids faces were all red. Awful! The fans were barely even on. In California you need to have AC outdoors for your customers!

Always delicious. Always packed! This place is popular and worth the praise. The price is excellent. Best sushi I’ve had. New favorite sushi place! Volcano roll, Nichelle roll and Pizza roll are my favorite!

Ok, so honestly being this is an all you can eat, I thought it was going to be decent because of the rating. We got there and it was packed, which made me feel even more confident about this place. We didn’t wait long despite how many people were ahead of us, but we did get seated outside. It wasn’t too bad with the heaters but my daughters feet were still freezing(she kept kicking her shoes off). So I suggest in this cold weather waiting for an indoor seat if you have kids. The waiter was quick to come take our order, and was patient even though they were packed. We got our food, and even though the portions are kind of small it was absolutely delicious. And the best part is you can always order more if the portion wasn’t big enough. We got the the in and out roll and the van burren roll. Both were amazing. The salad was to die for. Everything had lots of flavor and I personally liked the portion sizes because we got to try more. The waiter we got was very on top of things, and regardless of how many tables he had he was still attentive. We always had food and our drinks were always filled. I will definitely come back.

Our server, Christine, was great! She was friendly and had the right balance of attentiveness and letting us be, since we spent more time talking than eating. The rolls themselves were tasty, but some only up to a certain point, as cream cheese can trigger nausea if you eat more than two pieces with it inside. It was also nice of them to include miso before and green tea ice cream after the meal.

A friend took me here for the AYCE sushi. He was raving about it the day before so I just had to try it out. He even offered to drive me and a few other friends all the way over to Riverside just to try it out. We left around ten in the morning to drive all the way to Riverside. My friend said the place gets crowded quickly so we tried to get there as early as possible. It wasn’t that bad of a drive. The place was located in a strip mall not too far from the freeway. We got there right when the place opened and some people were already there. They probably had the same idea as us. We were seated right away at a table. We all ordered water and then the friend that brought us here took charge in ordering. Everyone suggested a few things here and there. I wanted sashimi salad and sushi. Our waiter was alright, not very welcoming, but he seemed very focused and hard at work getting everyones orders in. They were also a little slow in refilling our waters. We got sashimi salad and soups first. I didn’t get any miso soup, but I had the salad. The lettuce in the salad was kinda limp and old, but the sashimi was alright. My friends ordered one of their spicy tuna rolls and I had some of that next. It was the perfect amount of spicy, not too overpowering, just right. Next we got sushi, like a ton of sushi. They were served on long plates, all in a line, nice big portions. There was a lot of fish and only a little small ball of rice underneath. The sushi was just ok, not as good as my friend said it was. Even he was disappointed on the quality of the fish. It was just really slimy and not as meaty as I expected, it became hard to swallow after a while. On our last round I ordered their salmon yama. I wanted something cooked for a change. The yama wasn’t that good. It was overcooked and pretty bland. One of the worst fish collars I’ve ever had, I normally love it. The last thing I tried was the ebi takoyaki and it turned out to be my favorite part of the whole meal. Octopus takoyaki isn’t really my thing the the octopus always tastes kinda fishy and it’s chewy. But ebi takoyaki is really good, it was like a soft fluffy pillow of shrimp. Overall the meal was just alright, not as good as I thought it would be. It was cheap though, only about $ 20 per person, so at least there was that.

I don’t know where to start. We got here about an hour and a half BEFORE they closed and we were rushed the moment we sat down. Multiple servers came up to is telling us last call is about 945, it was 9 o’clock if that. So we over ordered so we wouldn’t have to do a second round. Maybe 1 or 2 more rolls person. Nothing big. We were brought back our sheet telling us to double check what we ordered cause it was off. We told them it was right. Our waters were dropped off and never refilled. The only positive thing and why I have one star is because the food came out quick. But while we were eating things were being grabbed off our table while we were still using them, like soy sauce and sugar. Servers still kept keeping up to us and telling us that it’s last call at 945 and they closed at 10, it was 920. By far the worst service I had ever received!!! Annoyed by the service. The food tasted really off and it was just bad. I hate that I was rushed and didn’t get to enjoy our food.

The price for the all you can eat sushi here is really great! I think it was like $ 22…not sure because I did have a lot of alcohol… that i remember! The food is good, you’re better off getting the AYCE because just 2 rolls will already come out to the $ 22. I enjoyed 85% of the items on the menu. Service was good, waiters are really nice and cute. When there’s a birthday they would turn off the lights, bump up the music, and theres also this disco ball light thing going on too!

The hand rolls here are delicious !!! You can never go wrong with all you can eat sushi! They are kinda slow in between rounds to collect your order sheet. But it’s not the end of the world. The place gets pretty packed for rush hours. But there is outdoor seating with heat lamps to keep you warm. All the parking directly in front of the restaurant is for the coffee place next door. And it’s only for ten mins. So you have to find parking in the plaza. If you get lucky it won’t be so far from the restaurant. Love that they give you free green tea ice cream. Because there is no other kind of ice cream I’d rather eat.

One of the better all you can eat sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Only 18.95 for lunch and 22.95 for dinner Very fresh fish and quick service. You have to ask for the AYCE and then they give you a sheet with all of the items on them and you write down how many orders or each food you want. If you want something that is not on the sheet they leave a few areas blank so you can write them in. They also give you green tea ice cream at the end of the meal. Unfortunately they do charge for hot tea which I am not used to doing but it’s only a small fee Not too sure if it’s an issue but the only down fall could be that you can only order 3 times so you have to order as much as you can within the 3 rounds. NOTTOOSUREIFTHATSHOWITWORKS. But it only shows 3 rounds on the ordering sheet and we only ordered 3 times. But overall, one of the better AYCE sushi places I’ve ever eaten at. Will definitely come again.

I came here on a Saturday morning with a friend and arrived here around 11:35(it opens at 11:30) for their AYCE. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. For the first round, we mainly ordered a bunch of nigiri along with a few cut rolls. The nigiri was totally not fresh and tasted like leftovers from the day before. For our second round, we ordered a bunch of rolls including the Diablo and the In n Out Spicy and we were so full we opted out of the third round. All the sauce on the rolls was able to slightly mask out the fact that the fish wasn’t fresh. I really wish I could’ve ordered more nigiri though. Do keep in mind that you will be charged a la carte if you order but can’t finish. They also only do complimentary green tea ice cream for AYCE on weekdays :( Parking is plentiful though. I believe the cost was around $ 21 per person for lunch on a weekend.

Santi and I were in the area searching for Japanese cuisine, and discovered this All You Can Eat(AYCE) restaurant on Unilocal.Asahi is Korean-operated, and the square-shaped interior encompassed a large sushi bar along the far walls, followed by a central dining area with tables closely stacked. Antithesis to traditional Japanese restaurants, the elbow-to-elbow dining atmosphere was marked by high noise level, busy foot traffic, and occasionally they will dim the lights to honor people’s birthday. For $ 17.95 per person, their AYCE lunch menu included a combination of nigiri, hand rolls, and specialty rolls listed on a checklist and three pages worth of menu items. The best thing about this restaurant was the fact that everything was made to order, with each dish delivered to the table individually to maintain freshness. To date, I haven’t discovered a sushi restaurant worthy of review in Phoenix, so we were more than eager to eat to last until our next trip to a coastal state. Santi and I are both traditionalists when it comes to sushi. However, to our surprise, the best part of the meal was the specialty rolls. With each roll cut into 8 pieces, I highly recommend the Riverside Roll that came with tuna, salmon, avocado, escolar, and light soy paper. To avoid getting full too quickly, they also had a number of sushi rolls that were not made with rice. The Honeymoon Roll was our favorite. It came with shrimp, avocado, cucumber wrapped with crab and tuna on top. We were also impressed by the Jen Jen, which was crab meat wrapped with salmon sashimi. The Stuffed Tomato was also really fantastic with tuna sashimi wrapped around scallops and crab. The Green Goblin was my least favorite with spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, and cilantro piled mountain high. Unfortunately, without the cilantro, the roll tasted like an ordinary spicy tuna roll. Additionally, my Eel Hand Roll, Scallop Hand Roll, and Rainbow Hand Roll were highlighted by fresh fish, scallops, and eel respectively. These hand rolls also came with a small amount of rice wrapped in crisp seaweed. The scallops were particularly fresh and delicious, so later we had to order the Spicy Scallop Nigiri, which carried an equal amount of wow factor. Unfortunately, the nigiri did not stood out for us. The salmon were not cut correctly, and the yellowtail lacked flavor. The mackerel and salmon eggs were just okay, so nothing really stood out in this part of the meal. Service was prompt, attentive, friendly, and efficient. They operate with a large staff and each sushi item came in a timely fashion. Overall, it was a value meal nicely orchestrated with fresh fish, creative rolls, large variety, and timely service. I would love to return the next time I am in the area.
