Great place to enjoy middle eastern food and hookah during the month of Ramadan. Pretty cool place, a some food and great hookah.

Well OK first off let me start off by saying the food was good. Had beef gyro and lady had the chicken plate. Also a side of hummus. All the food was good so can’t say anything bad what so ever about the food. Service on the other hand was something else. The service flat out sucked, the waiter was emotion-​less. He was not friendly at all, didn’t even offer drinks we had to ask. Also we didn’t get any refill so I was washing down food with my ice. Felt like we were not wanted in restaurant. Would defiantly not go back to this place, will just stick to our normal Mediterranean food joint.

Love it here. Lamb plate is the bomb. The best Tabouli and hummus. I always order too much when I go, but I manage to finish it all it’s a bit too pricey, but it’s so worth it. Customer service is awesome, everyone was so nice and friendly :) can’t wait to go back again soon

delicious food, very nice staff. Cute environment. we were here for lunch. I want to come back for dinner and live music. I will definitely recommend this place. my favorite here was roasted eggplant in cold appetizers.

Delicious food and great ambiance, what more could you want? Falafel was on point. I’m glad it’s nearby, so that I can come get my Mediterranean fix anytime.

I had my Birthday and it was wonderful. First of all, the ambience of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It is very authentic, with the décor, music and food. The owner Gus was accommodating with my request in regards to my birthday dinner celebration. We had a party of almost twenty people. We had great location in the establishment to be able to watch the show and listening to live band. The waiter Joe was very attentive and did such a great job making sure our group received the meals on time, refills on drinks etc. There was a belly dancer was an extraordinary dancer. She was very friendly and attentive to the crowd. The food was delicious. I had the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. I LOVED this restaurant and will return in the near future. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. If you are wanting something different this would be the place to go to. Thank you again Gus for making my Birthday an awesome evening.

The service is just slow, seems like they dont have enought people to handle the tables. The food is okay but the service and time you have to wait is just Bad!

My family and I went to this place for a birthday dinner. We were having a great time until our food came out. Our meat was spoiled. 17 of us didn’t eat the food.
When I got my tab, the food was still on there. I went to the register to pay and The owner GUS yelled at me and blamed us. The service was so awful, I couldn’t believe a owner wouldn’t apologize for the food, He said the food was fine and we were the only ones complaining. I asked him multiple times to stop yelling at me but he didn’t. He got upset a the waitress for having the kitchen make us new food that we didn’t eat. When I asked for a discount, He said they didn’t hand out free food. I was so embarrassed getting yelled at in front of people. His workers came and apologized to me. I will never step foot in that dump again. Customers service is so important especially when you have good customers. Gus is the worst owner I have ever met. Shame on you!

I’m very dissipointed with my first time experience here. My BF is Jordanian and I’ve become quite spoiled with his cultures hospitabtaily and amazing food/​desserts. I was invited for a family members surprise party. We were a very large party, great live music good environment however, the appetizers and main dishes were served VERY late. 11 pm we received the appetizers, 12:30 Am we then received out SPOILED UNDERCOOKED/​ROTTON DINNER. Needless to say we did not eat the food. When approached with the tab my sister and I addressed the issue with the food and asked if we could get the dinner portion off our tab or get a discount of some sort because we didn’t eat any of the dinner.
GUS, the owner disrespectfully yelled and continued to raise his voice at my sister in front of guests and his own staff. Instead of taking the time to hear about our issue, he acted very unprofessional and impulsive by accusing US of trying to take money from him and be cheap. He is a terrible owner, disrespectful to women, and a irrational human being. My sister ended up paying the bill which was NEVER A PROBLEM. We simply wanted to bring attention to the undercooked/​spoiled food that they served to 17 PEOPLE.
I WILL NEVER BRING MY BUSINESS NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE.

Great place, great food. Music and atmosphere is amazing. This place really embrace the middle eastern culture. Love it.

I won’t be going back unless its an event or birthday or something I’m obligated to attend. The music was so loud i couldn’t even understand it, was it arabic or english or maybe a mixture of both? idk. the food wasn’t good at all and the hookah sucked. I had the guy take it back after finally convincing him that it really does suck, even tho he stood there and tired to fix it after coughing when he tried it. Seating sucked. The lighting was terrible. I’m giving it two stars and not one because i didn’t die from it. it just sucked.

This place is located in a random area. My friend and I thought we came to the wrong place at first because it was a bit sketchy. I suggest coming during the day if it’s just girls.
The place was pretty much dead on a Tuesday afternoon. Probably because we came after the lunch rush.
Service was okay. We were seated in a area where our server couldn’t really see us. So the only time we were able to get our waiter’s attention was when he refilled our water.
As for the food, it came out pretty fast. I would say about 20 minutes for everything to come out. The food itself was okay, noting special or unique. In my opinion, not enough flavor, but that’s my opinion. Don’t let that stop you from coming.

Went to the Castle for our anniversary and was very pleased. We immediately were greeted and given options of where we wanted to sit in the bar, patio or restaurant and he also mentioned how Happy Hour was 7 – 9 and that there was drink special with food options.
Loved the waitress she was awesome and friendly quick with the drinks and food. We ordered the kabobs for 2 and a side of hummus everything has a great flavor the chicken kabobs were tasty as was the beef and ground beef kabobs everything tasted great.
After dinner we went to do the hookah outside in the patio which was already set up and waiting for us. I fell in love with the patio heaters set up and going music playing. It made our nite better.
Ronnie has a great place and good food. I definetly will be going back Castle. I will be recommending this rsstaurant to friends and family

Finally made it to The Castle. Came in for lunch on Saturday. The place is empty and we have the dining room and a waitress all to ourselves. I’ll say the food was amazing. I started with a veggie appetizer. Hummus, stuffed grape leaves, tabouli, and falafel. Delicious. Then moved onto the main dish h of mixed meats. Chicken, amd beef kabaobs with pita and rice. Again delicious. Our waitress was nice and attentive at just the right times. I was not disappointed and will definitely be be back.

The best Tabouli I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The beef kabobs melt in your mouth, the tenderest filet mignon. Great atmosphere and a very friendly waitress with the most beautiful eyes.

My boyfriend rented out the bar area for my birthday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They let him totally deck the area out to make it look like a 20’s/30’s club/​bar. The food was super yummy and the drinks were strong. Definitely recommend them not only for their food, but also as an event venue. They were wonderful.

My Sister & Brother and I had dinner at The Castle Restaurant last night and we LOVED it! Figuring out where the entrance was is a bit confusing and I think they need some really good signage to direct people because entering through the front (freeway side) feels like you’re trying to get into an abandoned building. Upon entering there we saw the bar but there was no one to seat or direct us and the bartender just ignored us. We wandered deeper into the restaurant and found Evan who turned out to be our server. He explained that their business really picks up after dark out on their beautiful patio. In the evenings it’s all lit up an they have music and entertainment and you can smoke the Hooka as well as cigars or cigarettes out there. We opted to sit inside because it was a chilly evening.
The food was A M A Z I N G! We ate until we could eat no more. We got a chance to talk to Evan about the restaurant for a while and he was very sweet and obviously quite proud of their restaurant. I would like to go back one evening and enjoy the patio when it’s warmer. I’m not a smoker and may not enjoy dining out there if it’s very smokey but I’d give it a try. We will all be back for the wonderful and reasonable priced food as well! Finally a great Mediterranean restaurant in Riverside!!!

It is always a tragedy when good food is tainted by poor service. The food is indeed usually good, as a local resident (1.5 miles away) I’ve had the chance to eat here many times. The only thing more consistent than the «good/​alright/​definitely not the best» quality of the food is the absolute godawful, dog-​shit service by the incompetent, math averse owner, his half-​assing son, and the sexy but inept «waitresses.» The only person who seems to try is lady they got busting her ass in the kitchen.
This has been the case time after time with this spot. But tonight the wait has been ridiculous even by their standards. I’ve been waiting in the dining room since 6:30, and I had to flag someone down to take my drink and order just a couple of minutes ago. At this point I couldn’t care less if the food taste great, not just good. The limp dick passion for the restaurant business on behalf of the owner is crystal clear in everything except the food, usually.
