Mr friend, «Little Miss Consumer reports,» who always finds the best stuff, turned me on to this place. It’s magical, like something out of Harry Potter. Will, the proprietor, actually knows how to FIX things! He can fix your beloved great-grandmother’s light fixtures. He has such cool stuff, it’s a shame he doesn’t have a website, so people could find all this great stuff!
Went there one Saturday and lo and behold, ran into Dan Cocco, member of The Old Riverside Foundation, expert handyman, and another prize if you’re restoring old homes. He was there to drop off or pick up a customer’s lighting fixtures. Of course, it figures that Dan would have located such a great source of cool stuff and expert repair services!

Went there to buy a table-​side lamp after reading the lone review here on Unilocal.Will helped me select a classic wooden lamp. Twenty years old and never used – where else can you get that!
Yes, the store is a little dusty and cluttered, but don’t let that undermine the very high-​end products that he has there. Will is also very helpful and kind.

The Lighting Works is an incredible place crammed with every imaginable type of lighting fixture. There is just a small pathway through the store that’s filled to the brim with antique fixtures and parts. If you need a rare part for a lamp, this is the place to find it. The two men who work here have obviously spent a life-​time fixing lamps and are incredibly knowledgeable. I had a lamp that broke and needed a specialized part. They immediately knew what I needed and sold it to me for $ 1.50! Years ago, I needed a lamp shade made for an antique lamp that my boys ruined. This was the place that was able to make it.
The store is closed Friday, Sunday and Monday. They don’t have a website and you have to know where you’re going in order to find it!
