The Poodle Shoppe

This place is FANTASTIC… little hole in the wall on Mission Blvd… you would drive right past it if you didn’t know it was there.
I make my appointments every 6 weeks a year in ADVANCE — that’s how busy and GOOD they are. Mary is absolutely the REAL DEAL and very, very creative.
I have one Miniature Poodle and one Miniature Poodle mix… she grooms them to perfection and they love her — -they KNOW when I hit the freeway where they are going and do not shut up for 10 minutes.
Mary does not put the dogs in crates… they are loose in the room with her. they have a chair to lounge in and beds on the floor and toys — it’s a play date for them – not a grooming day.
There is no «set» appointment… I bring the dogs in the AM and she or her husband call when they are done — –this place is wonderful!

The poodle shoppe isn’t actually a pet store. It’s a grooming salon, and they’re great! I’ve been taking my Lhasa Apso there since she was a puppy, and I’ve always been more than satisfied with their work. The prices are better than you would get at PetSmart or Petco, and the owners really know what they’re doing.
