This place is fuckin amazing. It might take you a lil while to find it when driving by because there’s not a big sign or anything just an orange«W» in front. Once you find it though, you’ll love it. Very simple menu, which I love. A small food menu with appetizer type food and desserts. One page for beer and wine and their house classics and originals. Very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and the drinks are(insert any positive adjective here). I got the Au Naturale, Fiery Gaucho and Jungle Cruise. Best got damn cocktails I’ve had in a while. When you’re there, ask for Sierra. She’s a bartender there and she made my friend and I some custom drinks that weren’t on the menu and listen… she’s the real MVP. I loved the atmosphere, the music that was played, a good crowd. Can’t wait to go back.

Okay, so this place has been bookmarked on my Unilocal page for quite some time and I was so disappointed after leaving last night. The ONE drink that I was able to get in during my visit was pretty good but the service that we received was terrible. Vanessa V was our server and she was… extremely slow and not prepared for her shift at all. She took quite a few min to greet our table(just a party of 2) and when she returned she dropped off menus and returned for our drink order about 10 min later. Craft cocktails take a few min to make, I get that. I work in a similar style restaurant/brewery in OC. However, Vanessa had no clue what was on draft and what was 86’d. This wouldn’t be a big deal if she could handle her station but it took her returning to our table about 3 times(each with about 5 – 6 minutes in between) just to confirm a drink order. She had no clue what was current and what was 86’d and she had no idea what beers had been replaced with what. I understand that draft lists change and kegs tap out but this seemed like her first shift ever. Serving 101 –Take 5 min before your shift to see what has changed! This could save you time AND money. When it was time to order our second round I ordered the hot apple cider and my boyfriend ordered the stone enjoy by IPA. She immediately knew that the stone enjoy by was 86’d and said it was replaced with another IPA which she recommended so my boyfriend went for it. She returns about 6 min later to tell him that beer was 86’d too. We had a strong feeling that she had no clue what she was talking about when she recommended the beer and it seems we were right. So he orders a stout and that comes up shortly. When she brings the stout we ask about the hot apple cider and she said«they’re making it, those drinks take a little longer» and then she returns 5 min later to tell us that the hot apple cider was seasonal and they can’t make it. How does it take a total of 15 min for her to find this out? She should have put this drink in a long time ago and the bartender would have pulled the ticket and said it’s 86’d. Usually a 2 min process. So now, this is the third drink off the menu that is 86’d. How is it possible that it is February 11th and our server is barely finding out that a drink was seasonal? And why is it still in the cocktail list this far along into the year? I would have ordered a second drink if I felt like waiting another 15 min but I was over the waiting game. Also, when you have an active table with empty drinks, it’s probably better that you check on them rather than scurrying over to a table that just left to see what your tip was. It’s annoying to see your server doing dumb things like this while you’re waiting for a drink that isn’t even coming. Not sure that I’ll be back. The service is way better at The Salted Pig so I’ll just continue to head there where the servers actually know what they’re talking about.

Friday night was a fun night out with friends, this was our 3rd stop the same night and it ended here. The gals had a few rounds of au natural and the guys several other stuff. This place has a cool vibe and I like the music. The only problem was when we finally got a table to sit. drinks took FOREVER and for the guys this was not good… all of a sudden our night turned to not so great. When we ordered at the bar the drinks came faster… don’t know why the wait staff took so long at the tables, but they really need to work that out. The mini corn dogs were ok and the popcorn was good. Drinks tasted great… they just need to make service faster… oh and fix the lock on the women’s bathroom…

Excellent cocktails! We were a little bummed at the limited food selection, but was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! The TV dinner option changes every couple months. This month with the chicken, potatoes, and veggies was beyond good!

This had to be our 3rd time stopping by and this had to be our favorite time! The entire bar makes you feel like you’re not in DTR from the décor to the staff. We sat at the bar and Sookie took definite care of us the whole time. I’ve never had such a nice bartender and a funny one too, to say the least. We cracked jokes, tried new drinks, and learned a thing or two from him about craft cocktails. I hope he’ll be there the next time we decide to stop by!

Super classy place to go if you are stuck in the Riverhooodd. The outside looks a bit deceiving but once you go inside it has the vibes from 1920s. Okay I might be exaggerating and I did go during happy hour. So it might have been a bit too laid back and empty. But still would go back anytime! Preferably I would go back for happy hour. Because college budget. Lol The drinks are amazing, explains the pricing. Ohh and They have a photo booth! Favorite part. Hopefully it never breaks :)

Really cool bar! First time here, the décor of this place is really cool! Their customer service is excellent all of the waitresses are really nice and extremely helpful when it comes to deciding what to order. Their menu is simple just the way i like it. Their drink menu is really cool each drink has its own page and a small picture of what it looks like, which in my opinion makes it a lot easier to choose. I ordered the naturale, and a jungle(something cocktail) and oh my gosh they were super delicious and well made. The cocktails are kind of pricey, but honestly they are so well made with the perfect amount of alcohol which compensates the price. I also ordered the bread balls, they are stuffed with mozzarella and pieces of Spanish chorizo, SUPERDELICIOUS! They have the right amount of chorizo and mozzarella in those nothing over powers anything. We got there pretty early around 8ish so parking was easy we parked at the lot accord from the W I’m not sure how parking is later. We left around 11pm and it seemed to start getting a little more busier. Over all a GREAT bar to kick back enjoy some appetizers and cocktails with friends. HIGHLYRECOMMEND.

I haven’t spent too many weekends in DTR like I used to;so when a friend suggested this bar we decided to gave it a try. It’s somewhat similar to the minimalistic bars you find in LA but with much brighter lighting. My friend sat at the bar for a good 15 minutes before the bartenders even acknowledged her! Granted it’s a busy night but the bartenders at Pixels and MTL are on fire when they take your orders — even on a busy Saturday night. I stepped in and told my friend I would order for her. After another 5 minutes a bartender finally made eye contact with me and asked if I had been helped. I ordered a Whiskey Sour w/Jack Daniels along with a Jack & Coke. They didn’t have Jack Daniels! They suggested a different whiskey so I only kept the whiskey & Coke. The bartender(didn’t get her name) ran my friend’s card and dipped!!! I waited and waited and finally asked a male bartender about my drink. He had no idea where it was. I asked him to cancel my order and bring back my debit card. He handed me the card with the receipt and I stared at him in disbelief. I said you’re charging me for a drink I don’t have? Totally killed our vibe. Finally the manager was called in and she handled the situation well. She issued a refund and gave us two complimentary drinks for the next visit. We absolutely will NOT be going back so those tickets are available if you want them! PS Bartender you suck and stay home. You’re inept.

I went to this place for good drinks. What I got was drinks that were strong but not what I would call«good». Mostly, I was expecting our drinks to be sweet(er) based on the description and was instead given drinks which were bitter and hard to get down. Not a good value for $ 11 a piece. The Salted Pig and the President’s Lounge at the Mission Inn have much more palatable drinks… stuff which is actually tasty AND will get you buzzed in a hurry. Also, a few other lost points: the water they brought us? The cups tasted faintly of soap and bleach, like they had just barely been washed and not rinsed well. And the service was slow. I wanted to like this place — the ambiance is good and the drink menu LOOKS good. But at the end of the day, when you go to a bar you expect the drinks to be good and theirs were not. I probably wouldn’t spend money in this place again anytime soon.

This place is dope and has an exceptional atmosphere. The cocktails are professionally made by knowledgeable bartenders. Definitely a place to visit(or frequent) while in Riverside. Thanks to Rich for giving us the pre-prohibition history lesson! Great date location or way to begin an evening with your posse.

Took my sister here as part of her birthday celebration… They did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. We came here on a Wednesday night after 10pm so the kitchen was closed. Was a little bummed that we couldn’t try their foods but our drinks made up for it. Strong is how I like my alcohol and strong it was lol. Super friendly bartenders. We meet 2 guys there that wanted to buy us drinks and one bartender(didn’t get his name) suggested what we should ask for just in case so we didn’t get in any kind of trouble. Very sweet of him to look out for us. You hardly ever see that in any bar. Décor wise it was very modern and industrial looking. Comfy seats, open concept and inviting. Would definitely come here again!

This place has amazing décor, cool drinks, great servers and bartender. EXCEPT there is a waitress named Marlene with black and blonde highlighty things that does not match the dankness priorly described. She was simply slow and rude. I hope she doesn’t have assburgers and that they gave her a job because they wanted to do something nice for her family. If that’s the case, I apologize to her and her family. If not, then she should try Buddhism or some sort of intellectual and spiritual journey to find a sense of happiness in herself. I truly hope she finds this, because having a server u drop 50 bucks and a 7 dollar tip in 25 minutes that can’t even act like I am not a disposable human being for reasons unknown to me or the three people I was with is poopy. If you are reading this, Godspeed, your journey of self discovery starts now :)

This is a super chill place, but hard to find a place to sit down. I came with my girlfriends for one of their birthdays and we were unable to find a table to sit down at. We didn’t mind standing, but we ended up leaving after we finished our drinks. The bartenders are very friendly and recommended a few drinks as well as making a virgin drink for our DD. There is a very nice vibe in this place, and if you didn’t know it was here you could definitely pass it up on the street. Cocktails average $ 12 and beers $ 10. There isn’t too much selection, but it’s nice because it makes you choose what’s there. It’s only unfortunate if none of them seem appealing to you. However, I would come back again and try new drinks. FYI*** the menus change from time to time

Cute little gem off the main bar strip of downtown riverside. Interior is very modern and hipster-like with decent amount of seating, didn’t get overly noisy or crowded. Me and my friend sat at the bar and had great conversations with the friendly staff. The drinks were definitely worth it, together we had the Cabana Boy, Mexican Firing Squad, an Old Fashioned, and a Whiskey Sour. The first two are ones I was recommended from customers and the bartender and they did not disappoint. The Whiskey Sour and Old Fashioned were presented well and tasted great! Will definitely make this a usual spot when I want to enjoy a good drink.

Paid a visit to W Wolfskill about a month ago and I haven’t found myself back there since. It was one of the highest rated bars in the DTR area, so my friends and I decided to give it a go. The exterior and interior of the place was very cute and kinda hipster-ish and parking was convenient; not many cars parked out on the streets during the late-evening-bar-hopping times in this area. Food: We got the popcorn and pretzel bite things, both were pretty good. But then again how could one mess up on popcorn… Other than that, the sauce they give with the pretzel was super good! Service: Friendly workers. Five stars in that department Prices: decent, nothing you haven’t seen The only thing I’m kinda MEH about this place is that their drinks had no trace of alcohol in it. I mean, no doubt there really was alcohol in it, but the taste. was like. straight. up. juice. Two of my friends got the Peaches and Cream and I tried it, it was good, but like. where the alcohol tho. I got the Long Island Iced Tea(my go-to drink at any given bar), and it was the weakest long island i’ve had like ever. I guess this is good for those who like their drinks on the weaker side, but personally, I’d rather not pay that much for a «virgin» Long Island hahah. But I really liked the vibes and service of the place in general so maybe I’ll go back and give it another go(and edit this review after, of course)!

Okay… This place is dope, BUT(and this is a huge but) the music fucking sucks. Period. They transition from Biggie to Katy Perry like nothing. What the hell? Justin Timberlake back to Katy Perry… I… I… Just don’t understand this. Drinks are great and atmosphere is modern minimalistic. That’s the only thing keeping this place at a three star in my opinion. If you come here on a Thursday evening be aware…

Harry Potter quotes, vintage Playboy magazines, and a cash-only photobooth. I NEVER thought I’d find a bar quite like this in sleepy ol’ Riverside. My brother and I drove through a silent downtown on a summer Friday night and found a nice spot right out right. A lone bouncer(would he be considered a bouncer?) checked our IDs as we quietly slipped inside, entering a whole new world. We were a tad underdressed, in short sleeve tees and adidas shorts, but they didn’t judge. Okay, we might’ve ruined the atmosphere for a couple twenty-somethings on a cute first date, but we didn’t know it’d be this fancy schmancy! It was kinda weird at first because the bar takes up the left side of the whole space, while a partition sleekly guards the booths set up on the right. The booths were a free-for-all, but there are waitresses that come to the tables so… you’d think that they were seating people or something, right? There was a decent amount of standing room between the seats at the bar and the partition, but we headed towards the back where there was one single table and enough seats for maybe 4 – 6 people. The vintage magazines here were a nice touch! We also sat facing the cute photobooth that MANY boozed up ladies stumbled into that night. The menu was adorable. I’d usually pass on bar food, but this stuff sounded legit! Not 5 star restaurant legit, but much better than your usual pub fare. Potatoes made of purple yams and wagyu beef caught my eye, and there’s plenty more where that came from. There were two pages of drinks, the first page had their cocktails and the second listed their boilermakers(shot + beer chaser combos). We had the following: Soylent Green: Vodka, Cachaça, Pear Eau de Vie, Aloe Vera, Wheatgrass, Cucumber, Lime, and Watermelon Granita.($ 12) — MYFAVORITE. The drink came with a little plastic spoon so I could eat the granita on top. It was light and refreshing, exactly what I was looking for. Peaches & Cream: Gin, Créme de Peche, Aperol, Peach Ice Cream, and Lemon.($ 12) — This one was okay. I’m not a fan of creamy drinks, my brother ordered this one. I’d love to eat this in the ice cream form. Strawberry Lambic/Capurro Pisco boilermaker: So Pisco is kind of like wine, it’s made of grapes. However, people have been known to substitute it for vodka in quite a few drink recipes! It smelled super strong, but went down smooth. The labmic was delicious, as it always is. I’D DEFINITELYCOMEBACK, if I lived within 25 miles. Or if I ever had a reason to pass through. Unfortunately, my brother is all moved out of this quaint little town and I doubt I’ll be back. I hope this place sticks around for good though!

They’d definitely be better with more food options, especially snacks/dessert, but the mixologists are no joke here. Strong drinks, poured with a heavy hand. Cocktails will run you around $ 12, and boilermakers generally go for $ 10. They have a rotating tap with a decent selection of beers. The Father Figure is strong as hell, and they do a fantastic whiskey sour(with egg whites on top). My friend told them it was my birthday, so the mixologist wrote my name on top of the egg whites on my whiskey sour. That’s legit. Ambiance is kind of rowdy because there aren’t really any other options in DT Riverside, and drinks take a long time to order and make at the bar, but you’re not going to be wanting for a seat. Lots of booths and stools all around for parties. Parking is easy, and the space is wide open.

This was my second visit here, and the first time getting table service. All I can say is that I had a tremendously good time! Service was impeccable, lots of servers and staff approaching to offer drink refills, water, and food. Happy hour meant that six randomly selected cocktails were offered for $ 6, down significantly from the average menu prices in the $ 10 – 12 range. I loved the Mexican Firing Squad, Penicillin, and the house take on the classic Old Fashioned. My group ordered food as well, which we shared. Pretzel rolls, chicken fried steak, cream of mushroom on toast, and kettle corn. For handcrafted drinks, turn around time was superb! While it’s possible others will have a different experience, I can only give high marks to staff friendliness and attention to details.
