This place seemed really crowded outside, so I thought we would have a long wait, but surprisingly we’re sat down immediately. Everything tastes delicious. I had the corned beef & eggs with their basil lemonade(awesome). My wife had the steak and eggs, both seasoned just right. I’m not a big fan of grits, but these were pretty good. Their apple butter and watermelon muffin were amazing! Loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back.

One of the better brunches I’ve been to in the Tampa area. Phenomenal bloody Mary’s, and an unbelievably delicious bbq eggs Benedict. The specialty muffins with he house jam was amaze-balls!(As per my gf) Friendly bartenders, great cocktails, would definitely recommend

The atmosphere is really unique. I had the salad no. 09 with grilled chicken. The chicken was moist and delicious! I enjoyed the salad also! My husband ordered the sobe chicken burger. The flavor profile was unique and everything came together to create a very tasty burger:-)

My friend that lives in Brandon Fl introduced me to Boca; I’m so glad she did! The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is so relaxing and modern. I literally could sit there and talk for hours because it is so comfortable(we sat outside). It includes indoor and outdoor seating. The seating has cushions and nice plump pillows. The restroom was clean. The food was fresh and yummy. I had the Brie Apple Flatbread for brunch(extremely delicious). My boyfriend had the Cobb Salad which was also great! We also had a tuna avocado appetizer dish. I liked it and my boyfriend didn’t. My mimosa left me feeling good ;) 5 stars

I just love anything that’s from farm to plate… less processed food. The ambience was great, a bit safisticated. Unique but limited menu. I had wine with chocolate truffles, he had the OMG prime burger with fries which came up to $ 31. Not bad!

Man, this place was great! Went for brunch this morning, and can’t wait to go back. Husband/Wife + 2 year old. This says a lot considered we tried the S. Tampa spot about a year ago and ended up walking out(we didn’t order anything) after 20 mins because of the poor service. Overall: Farm-Fresh theme, showed all the farms they get stuff from, made a point that nothing was ever frozen, on site canning, etc. Décor was awesome too. We actually pulled up thinking we were going to go to the place next door, which would have been our first time as well, but after being told that it was 30 mins+ wait, and looked like an IHOP, we checked in at BOCA, and sure glad we did because we’ll be back. Surprisingly, no wait, and I have no idea why, as I mentioned this place is awesome. Menu was good and compact, had a little bit of everything with the typical farm fresh flare. Lots to choose from, from Eggs and Bacon, to Breakfast Sandwiches to French Toast, etc. Service, was great! From the moment we walked in the door to when we walked out, made us feel right at home, and conserving we had a 2 year old with us, that says a lot. Our waitress(I can’t remember her name, but slightly older white woman) was AWESOME! Food…AWESOME! I got the Banana Foster French Toast, wife got the breakfast sandwich, kid got the eggs and bacon and potato wedges, all great. Nothing bad to say about it. Bacon was recommended and was as good as it was described. Prices, good… about $ 40 for everything we had, also included OJ and coffee. So while it’s not cheap for a daily splurge, well worth it for every couple of weeks. BOCA, well done, you guys just earned yourselves a couple of new clients. Thanks for the great time this morning.

I’ve been to the Boca in Soho. I had such a great experience there. I decided to take my family here since I raved about how great the food was since it’s farm to table. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. We were seated immediately. It took 10 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us. After we ordered our food and coffee, it took 30 minutes just to give us coffee. It probably would’ve taken longer if we had not flagged the waitress down asking her if we could still get our coffee. When we got our food(pancakes, cobb salad, oysters rockefeller, and flatbread) you can tell that the food was sitting there for a while. The flatbread was already cold, my oysters were burnt and mildly warm. I was very disappointed because I ordered them at the Boca in Soho and they’re my favorite appetizer. It was such a disappointment. Also, the kale in my oysters were chopped in such a half-ass way. The huge stems were in the oysters. The cobb salad had no dressing, but the vegetables were very fresh! Even though the food was all warm/kinda cold, you can tell the ingredients were fresh. It’s just such a shame and kind of embarrassing to hype up such a great, beautiful restaurant only to be served meh food. We could tell that they were probably understaffed, which is why everything took so long. It even took about 10 – 15 minutes for tables to be cleaned. As for the atmosphere, it’s beautiful! It’s very open with lots of sunlight and it’s a perfect spot for brunch! Even the outdoor seating options look comfortable. I wish I could give this place more stars, but I guess I’ll come back in a few months when they work out their quirks since they opened recently.

I’ve been to this location twice now. My first experience with Boca was awful to say the least… No one greeted our table for 20 minutes and it took another 15 minutes for them to bring a pitcher of room-temp water to the table for us to share. Once the server finally arrived, we didn’t receive explanation for the slow service or as to why it took our server so long to acknowledge us. Eventually, our meals came out and they were nothing more than mediocre. I ordered the chopped salad which, although was very fresh, not very tasty. I’ve since been to this restaurant for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. I ordered the My Sharona flatbread and a mimosa, both of which came to the table in a timely manner and were very tasty. This time around was actually extremely pleasant. I enjoy the outdoor seating area and the rustic feel. I’m giving three stars because both of my visits have been polar opposites. This concept has the potential to be a hit and I hope that it continues to improve.

SO disappointed with the service by management and overall experience. Seating: BrRrrr its cold outside! They weren’t ready for our party of 16, despite making a reservation several weeks out. It was increased the week of and we were asked to arrive 30 mins later, which we did. Tables were NOT set up and when we arrived were told that we’d be seated outside. 52DEGREES :( No, never requested outside and nothing done to get us seated inside. Heaters, yes. But at that temp and dropping fast it’s not an ideal«night out». Never once did a manager come out to check on us or apologize. No «hi, how are you ladies doing? I’m so sorry you’re sitting outside, we’re trying to get you a table inside.» NOTHING was said. It was like we were in inconvenience by being there. Food: –The kitchen ran out of flat bread. Only had 4 left. BOO. –Appetizers came out with entrées. Big pet peeve. –Not enough silverware or napkins for everyone out when food arrived. Waiting for silverware + 40something degrees = cold food. :( Overall experience: As a customer, I want feel appreciated for the money I’m spending in your establishment and this was not the case. On a positive note– our server was doing everything she could to accommodate us. One of the managers attempted to recoup the whole bad experience, but it was after the fact and multiple times of me bringing the issue to mgmt’s attention. We’d already been there 3+ hours, before any attempt was made. A genuine apology and a couple of appetizers or a round of drinks would have been impactful. Mgmt missed that opportunity. Instead they focused so much on the fact that someone wrote down our reservation for outside(and making me feel like it was my fault), instead of saying«we’re sorry for the mixup and will try to make this a great experience». Disappointing. I’ll drive to South Tampa the next time I have a Boca craving.

Amazing atmosphere and décor. Eddie, our server, took very good care of us. Enjoyed a wonderful Rockefeller oyster appetizer, fresh basil lemonde, and Bohn Mi as an entre. Clean restaurant, the bar is full stocked with really good spirits. Will definitely eat outside for my next visit.

Sorry. I tried to like this place, especially since I LOVE their SoTampa location — but after eating here a few times(most recently for Sunday brunch and another time for a weekday lunch)… it’s official: MEH is my overall feeling about the service and food at Boca Brandin This location does not have the New-new American flavor that we’re use to – with a watered down version of the original menu(so not to scare the locals of this area, it seems). The food is overpriced for the lack flavor. «Basic» is a good word for it, nothing that I would crave per se. The service wasn’t spectacular either. It’s disappointing, especially after having nothing but flavorful and unique options and service at their primary location. They get the extra star for the space and ambiance.

UPDATE: We were contacted by management and are working on a solution, so I have subsequently raised my review to 2 stars. ________ I’ve learned that when dining anywhere in this area to come with low expectations. I mean, I still was on a quest for somewhere, anywhere in this area to prove me wrong. You see, this area has proven time and again, that it’s a food desert when it comes to good eats. This place I’m talking about, Boca Brandon, fails miserably and falls into the category of a food desert restaurant. I’m sure they mean well, well… I’m not entirely sure they do mean well, but come with low expectations and don’t believe the hype. This new restaurant proves«Riverview», «Brandon», «Valrico», and any other small town within a 30-mile radius of there is just not worthy of a visit. There isn’t much here. South Tampa is where real food is happening. THEHORRIBLEVISIT: We went in for take out, ordered a ton of food and waited 40 minutes for it in an empty restaurant. There were hardly any customers, so why the long wait? Does this make patrons believe they are so busy in the kitchen, whipping up something fabulous? Uhm, no. All of it was bad. I mean, really bad where they don’t deserve a second chance. Things were left out of every dish. Things were added to other dishes just for the hell of it. The Oysters Rockefeller appetizer in particular was a joke. The 4 measley and low-quality oysters, in which they obviously took an oyster out of one of the 4, cut it into 4ths, and replaced one teensey piece in each of the 4 shells were the most sad, small Oysters Rockefeller you’d ever seen. The oyster pieces were already detached from the shells. They consisted of all spinach and a tiny piece of oyster that you couldn’t even taste. Don’t get this, it was $ 12. Better yet, they should take it off the menu, it disappoints. A Reuben sandwich consisted of a boring bun, no sauce(and no sauce to add later inside the to-go bag), slaw(with mayo, obv) that was soggy and limp, to the point it looked as though it was left out of the fridge for hours, with the meat being inexcusably tough, dry, and fatty. Eww. The appetizer of fried green tomatoes looked nothing like the tomatoes in the entrée fried green tomato sandwich. These tomatoes were not fully cooked, were overly spiced with an inedible hot spice, and the tomatoes lacked consistency in color between the 2 dishes of the appetizer and entrée sandwich. It’s a shame all fried green tomatoes coming out of the kitchen lacked consistency in both breading, color, and length of cooking time. Total fail. Seeing as fried green tomatoes is a popularly ordered item(by the looks of other reviews), those tomatoes should be exactly the same in quality and consistency. They are not. This restaurant is a joke. I waited an ungodly amount of time on a weekday afternoon for this inedible and bad food(40 minutes), while the restaurant was empty. There were a few diners inside at tables, some sitting at the bar, as well as a few eating at the patio tables outside. There were maybe 10 tables total filled, including myself and the others sitting at the bar. I’d hate to see the chaos when it’s busy. If you’re considering going here for a nice meal, I strongly recommend you consider this review in your decision. Pick a better restaurant. This is not it. This«new» restaurant doesn’t even reply to bad reviews. For a new restaurant, this is not how to solve internal problems by looking the other way, while you have problems with customers who spend over $ 55 on lunch for 2 people and are not happy with the quality of food for that price point. Way to go management. Unless there are much needed changes happening, and soon, the only way you can go is… D O W N ONEDISMALSTAR!

We decided to stop over by Starbucks first and get some tea and scones and headed on over to Boca Brandon and order the food when we got there. My companion and I went inside to look over the menu and I went back to the car after I told her what I wanted. She stayed inside and sat at the bar with her tea. The service was slow. I think we waited at least 40 – 45 minutes. I was getting starving. The bartender takes the to go orders. Let me say one thing if a restaurant advertises and gives you a to go menu to look at. I would think the food would be just as good as eating there. TOMATOBISQUE I had a cup of Tomato Bisque and it was the right color and consistency but the taste was not there. However, I got an overwhelming taste of spice. I do not know what that spice was but it was too much for me to handle. I had some oyster crackers at home to see if they could soak up the heat coming from the soup. It did not work. I set it aside and didn’t eat the rest. I didn’t like how the croutons were already put into my soup. I should be the one to do that. Plus I only got two croutons and there weren’t any tucked into the to go bag. FRIEDGREENTOMATOESAPP — Pimento Cheese, Tomato Jam and Boca Bacon The tomatoes were bland and none of them had any flavor but if they added salt and pepper to the tomatoes it may have been good and brought out the flavors I was looking for. The tomatoes came with three sauces and none of them looked that great but I did try the Pimento Cheese. I was disappointed with it. The ingredients didn’t match well with the tomatoes. I have had better. BOCABACON — LETTUCE — TOMATO Smoked Jalapeño Bacon, Bibb Lettuce, Crispy Green Tomato, Avocado Mayo and Truffle Fries. I could only eat half of it because it was starting to get boring. The tomatoes were not fried enough. It should of been tossed and started over again. The breading was very light and the tomatoes weren’t cooked. Even if is called a crispy green tomato I would suspect it to match in color, shapes and sizes to be equal in all those aspects. There was also too much bacon and it was a thick cut bacon that was too spicy I ended up taking it all off but leaving the tomatoes and lettuce on and it wasn’t crispy which is how I like mine. I don’t understand why restaurants don’t crisp up the bacon. There is so much more flavor from this. I also like my bacon rough chopped into smaller pieces. I am not a fan of strips. I’ll only eat them at home because I know I can achieve that crispness and flavor myself. I couldn’t detect an avocado mayo taste because it was a very light spread. It adhered to the softness of the bread but the top part where the bread is burnt didn’t. I would’ve liked to see chunks of avocados in my spread I’m not a fan of the solid spreads. I would’ve appreciated the taste more. I also wished there was some crispness to the bread. It would’ve made it taste so much better. The lettuce on the menu calls for Bibb Lettuce. Bibb lettuce is a medium to light and dark color but the lettuce definitely was a darker color. I thought to myself is that even Bibb lettuce? HMMMM!

This is my new favorite dinner spot! I have eaten at the Boca in Hyde Park but it was for brunch and is totally different than this new Boca. The décor, service and food were all impeccable! I went with a friend visiting from Orlando and he cannot wait to try the new location in Winter Park. The fried green tomatoes were fresh and unique with the tomato jam with bacon and pimento cheese spread. The meatloaf with mashed potatoes and awesome Brussel sprouts was fantastic! My friend enjoyed the variety of local lagers and the Chardonnay was very good although I prefer Pinot Grigio which was not available on the wine list. Mary C and her co-server also Mary did a wonderful job explaining the concept, food, specials, food items for sale and the dinner for 2 to go special(which I will be utilizing very soon). I am so happy to have a fantastic place right down the road to enjoy.

Quaint place with a lot of charm. I love how they had fresh basil on the tables and the wall of growing greens. You can not get a fresher salad. I had a BLT with truffle fries. It was great. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was my food came about 15 mins after everyone else at my table. The wait staff was kind and on point. The manager was very sweet and attentive.

I was really going back and forth debating whether to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but when I considered the service I had to bump it down to 4. I went here for my birthday lunch on a Thursday afternoon at noon. I booked my reservation for 4 people through Open Table a few days before and I’m glad I did because this small restaurant was packed! SERVICE: I’m going to get this part out of the way first because I’d really like to focus on the good things about Boca. We were seated by a gentleman who appeared to be the manager and he took our drink orders. Another waiter showed up after a while and said our drink orders would be served soon. He was unsure of the specials and had to refer to a notebook(I’m okay with this). When my friend asked if she could have regular bacon instead of jalapeño bacon on her BLT, the waiter said«no problem». About 15 minutes later, he returned to say that jalapeño bacon was all that Boca serves and asked if she wanted to change her order. I’m not sure if this was true or he just didn’t know what else to use as an excuse. Regardless, my friend kept her order and said she would try the jalapeño bacon. The food took FOREVER to come out and they totally forgot about my friend’s BLT. The server and the manager(supposedly) came over and told her they were making her sandwich and it would be right out. No one wanted to admit that it was forgotten. I feel that the problem with service was that the server did not know the menu well and was focused on serving a very large party at the table next to us. I can forgive. FOOD/DRINK: Really delicious and unique! The menu is small but it is still really hard to pick what you want to eat. Everything is fresh and the combinations of flavor are very unique. I had the Mission Grilled Cheese and subbed Truffle Fries instead of Sweet Potato Chips. It was very delicious with a good mix of cheeses. The gorgonzola really stood out and it was presently very nicely. The truffle fries were very tasty and salty. They may be too salty for some, but they were perfect to me. My other friends tried the Bahn Mi Flatbread and the BLT and said both were very tasty, even with the jalapeño bacon. I ordered a Bloody Mary to start which had no bacon :(. It was not bad though. I was very impressed with the menu and will definitely return to try some other things. Overall, I’d say give it a shot and be patient. This is not somewhere you want to go if you are pressed for time. Make reservations to be sure you’ll be seated. The food is really good and the restaurant is unique(warning: it’s VERY loud inside). I’ll be back.

Hands down, this is the best place to eat in Brandon… or, Riverview. This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. Easily deserving of a 5-star rating, Boca is everything one desires in a restaurant. Excellently prepared food from the freshest ingredients, outstanding service from the time you walk up to the time you leave, and an immaculate dining area with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. As we were trying to decide on what to order, James(the SA) noticed our struggle and gave some very helpful suggestions. We tried the Heritage Swine Flatbread, 60 Spice Chicken, and Shrimp and Grits. Everything was bursting with flavor, and perfectly prepared! The Shrimp and Grits was my favorite, an absolute delightful dish! Between our server, the SA, and the assistant manager, the service was outstanding! All questions were answered with great detail, drinks never ran out, and the food came out very quick. The prices are higher than most establishments in this area, but worth every penny. This is upscale dining at its finest.

Parking here sucks on a busy day. Luckily, I was able to park further down by the pediatric building. This place is very friendly. It has a higher end atmosphere. The food was good but not memorable. Out of the dishes I ordered; pulled pork, BLT, grits and eggs, hamburger; the most memorable dish I can say is the pulled pork sandwich. This sandwich is probably the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is the wait. The wait time was a bit long after ordering. I saw a lot of people that ordered after me get their dishes first. The mixed fruit cobbler dessert was awesome, topped with vanilla ice cream, the hot fruits blend well with the cold ice cream. Overall, this place is awesome and a must eat place in Brandon. Shoutout to our waiter Eric!

Very cool place. Didn’t know much about the joint going in but our waitress(Mary) educated us on the basis of farm fresh food. It was impressive to say the least. The décor was really cool and rustic. I ended up getting the smoked corn beef hash for brunch. Beef was smoked in house, and the eggs I had on the side were cage free and fresh. It was amazing! I’ll be back! Big shout out to Ms Lopez from the restaurants marketing group for reaching out!!! Thank you!

I’m very iffy on this place. The food was very good but it bothers me how trendy they are trying to be. It’s your standard too cool for school overpriced American food. I understand you use all local ingredients but it is very pricey. First walked in at 7:30 with a reservation at 8, checked in with the hostess and said if they can seat us before 8, that would be awesome, if not, we understand. We were replied to with a snooty attitude of «well it’s really busy and you’re just going to have to wait» paired with a stank face. Understand you’re busy and we couldn’t sit early, but I was with my 8 month pregnant sister and you could have said it nicer. The food was very good though, everything tastes amazing. Scallops was expensive and a small portion but good! Bone marrow was only a split bone with very little actual marrow, not worth the $ 12. A guest in my party had the burger and loved it, so that might be the way to go here. This place is probably exactly what you think it would be.

So we stopped into Boca last night to try it out. We’re super excited for them to come to Brandon as really all the restaurants out here are just chains and I’m sick of eating at them all! We’ve been to the Tampa location and wanted to check this one out and see how they did! Ambiance wise in the main dining room is great. Unfortunately we weren’t able to sit there even though there were like ten tables open because they were reserved. I would understand this logic if there were tons of people waiting but there weren’t we were the only ones walking up. It was raining pretty hard outside so I imagine some of those reservations didn’t show. I just have a pet peeve about them telling me oh those are reserved when there are so many tables open. We sat in this room off of the main dining room. The ambiance here was kind of weird. It was almost like we were sitting outside during the day even though it was 6 at night. It was cool and weird at the same time. Service at this location was 100% better than in Tampa. I’ve been twice to that one and both times the service was off. Our server was great here as were then bartenders and the manager. Food wise we had the fried green tomatoes. They were a bit undercooked so that wasn’t great. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I had the sweet potato gnocchi. Husband loved his sandwich but wasn’t a huge fan of the sweet potato chips that came with. He said they we soft and chewy not crisp. My gnocchi were good but really lacking in salt. But that can be added. Husband had a bloody and it was one of the best I’ve tasted. My son had a PB and J and it came out with the cutest presentation with grapes and milk it was adorable! All in all good experience with this location since it’s really the only of its kind in Brandon we will definitely be back.

Fantastic new place. Just what Riverview needs. Extremely fresh and delicious dishes and innovative and yummy drinks. I had a Seasonal Mule, which was crisp and refreshing, with pomegranate seeds in the bottom. I also had Salad No. 9, which had fresh beets, candied walnuts, strawberries and a delicious vinaigrette. Notable also was the extremely fresh greens. The backstory of this place is everything here is extremely fresh and farm grown… Even as fresh as having plants as decorative objects on the tables and a wall of fresh greens. And the freshness is in every item. The Sobe Chicken Burger was fantastic and juicy, which is difficult for a poultry burger. The Brie and Apple Flatbread was fresh and the cheese was the star of this dish. And the herbs brought an extra dimension. The Heritage Swine flatbread was delightful. The bacon was some of the best bacon we’ve ever tasted. Definitely recommend.
