I would be very cautious about the «estimate» you get in writing vs. the day of pricing. Keep your original paperwork. And watch closely the actual hours worked. We also had damaged furniture and the bill padded by an hour.

This company was recommended and I appreciated the thorough in-​home estimate. Unfortunately this was a case of over-​promising and under-​delivering. I requested packing service, which three young men did fairly efficiently. However, the actual move was completed by only two of them the following day, so it took longer than anticipated. All of this was no problem, except that for the price we paid we are disappointed that we are finding nicks and chips and scuff marks on white furniture that were not secured properly. The last company we moved with wrapped everything, so our furniture was protected during the cross-​state move. This time, we moved just a couple miles and have a lot more damage. We were promised that their method of securing and loading items would ensure no damage and no having to re-​do. Furthermore, they brought used boxes (which at least they didn’t charge us for) but because they were labeled from previous moves we had boxes delivered to the wrong rooms, forcing us to move them to the correct rooms ourselves. I wouldn’t use this company again.

Moves Plus is a family owned small business that takes great care and of you and your belongings. Melanie and Mark are active in the community and give back whenever they can. All workers are screened to protect you and your belongings. I have had and heard some horror stories about moving, as we prepare for our move I am so relieved to know there is a company that we can trust and count on.

Moves Plus moved a filing cabinet for me. It was just a small job. They did it fast and professionally, it was a great decision to let them move it rather than moving it myself.

We have had the pleasure of using Moves Plus for three moves. Our first was a two house in to one house move that went flawlessly. It took them from 9am to 2am the next morning. It was the blending of two famlies. Two years later we decided it was time to find another home and down size since our oldest was off to college. Without hesitation, we picked up the phone and gave Moves Plus the call. This time, it was a house to house move and took about 7hrs. Once again, they were outstanding. Thank you Moves Plus for transfering the weight of our world by taking the stress out of moving!
