Julie, Thank you for the response, but you are not giving all the details. The gift certificate does state expiration after 365 days, but there is not an «actual date» stamp on it to reflect date of purchase or expiration.(I will post a pic) We were honest by stating that it may have been more than a year and that we didn’t recall the exact date the gift certs were purchased. We spent over an hour at your location and the receptionists could not find the actual transaction date. We called you while we were there and you implied to my mom that we may have printed the gift certs on our own like we were thieves. In fact you hung up! Your remedy of making us pay to upgrade was not a fair solution. Even worse, we were in there several weeks prior to make the appointment and physically showed the receptionist the gift certs, and no one told the gift certs were expired! Again poor record keeping. The bottom line, your gift certificates are subpar. Even if they are handwritten, they should be serialized, dated, and signed by an official of your company. Anyone in your company should be able to pull up the serial # and immediately tell someone the time, date, and method of payment used for the gift cert, and even a remaining balance if applicable. We were planning on being repeat customers as your location is convenient, but for 30.00×3 you have lost repeat customer(s). I can’t tell you how to run your business, but hopefully others will read this and staple their credit card receipt or cash receipt so that they don’t become disappointed of your lack of records. Better yet, they may chose to go else ware.
