Sleep Inn

This hotel is right off of interstate 95. sleep in hotels are all the same and this one is no different. Check-​in was really quick. Our room is clean and as expected. The young woman at the front desk helped me to find paper plates, cutlery and napkins for our meal. The ice machine had plenty of ice which we appreciated. It was quite cold the night that we were there and the heater warmed up our room quickly! The only thing was that the water pressure out of the shower head was too strong and there weren’t enough big towels in the room for two people to take a shower and wash their hair! When you stay at the Sleep Inn — it’s like McDonald’s you know what you’re going to get!!!

Not impressed with hotel. Hallways stink and room reeks like stale cigarette smoke and mold. Went to front desk to ask about a different room and the first thing they said was «have you touched anything in the room yet?». All rooms were sold out except for smoking rooms, so we were stuck. My mother in law woke up with bite marks all over her arms. Gross.
Pool awkward since it sits right next to the breakfast area and cloudy. There was a shirt left from a prior guest in our closet. Next time we will pay the extra $ and go back to Hampton Inn.

Only problem here is the front desk clerk. She was very rude and very poor costumer service… Other then that the room was very nice!

This was a very nice hotel for the money we paid. Our room was clean and modern, probably updated in the last year. We were on the third floor and it was quiet. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on the way back from a week long road trip to SC. Hotel is conveniently located right off of I 95, in a area with a slew of hotels, gas stations, waffle houses, and other various fast food places. We literally walked into the lobby and booked a room… check in process was simple and quick. Hotel overall was really clean and updated… rooms had a modern décor, flat screen TVs, mini refrigerators/​microwaves in the room and super comfy beds! It was such a nice surprise after having been stuck in a car for 8 hours. The mattresses were high off the ground and very luxurious for a lower budget hotel. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised and agreed that we slept really well that night… pillows were great too. Hotel has a small indoor pool area which is a bonus. Even better, Sleep Inns serve a hot, free breakfast in the morning («hot» referring to make your own waffles). Only negatives (for all Sleep Inns) are the bathrooms are small… sink area is out in the open right next to the beds… toilet/​shower area is behind a door but tiny and no tub just a stall shower. Either way, it was convenient and adequate for us as travelers.

I am sitting in our hotel room right now. It is clean. My kids are being loud, but no one can hear them. They had to opt for a shower (there’s no tub in the room), but it was a nice, clean shower. The room is comfortable for the four of us. It’s not the biggest hotel or the nicest, but I’ve learned that you can’t go wrong with a Sleep Inn. The pool happens to be closed this weekend, but since it’s Thanksgiving travel weekend, I don’t care. And it’s the best rate– I called almost every hotel from Wilmington to Richmond, VA. I will go run on the treadmill in the morning and then we will all go grab some food for the road downstairs. If you want bang for your buck– this is the place to go.

The rooms smell bad, the heater sounds like a truck, you can’t sleep because of the noise from outside and the staff doesn’t seem to like to work… They all have a bit of an attitude

Very friendly staff and very clean hotel and nice bath amenities. This hotel have cameras in every corner for your safety.
From this location you can drive less than a mile to different restaurants
I will stay here next time I travel through NC.

On the plus side: Clean, comfortable room at a fair price. No problems with TV, microwave worked, and plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. I requested a late check out of 1 pm and got it with no hesitation
On the negative side: (and this was a big one) INTERNET was down during the 14+ hours I stayed there. Not only did the front desk staff (night & morning person) not do anything to attempt to resolve it, they offered no apologies and no options — even though their company owns the two hotels next to the Sleep Inn.
Also a negative — previous guest and/​or housekeeper left the a/​c on full power and on the coldest setting. It was easily below 60 degrees when I walked into the room and took over an hour to get the room somewhat comfortable.
Property is beginning to show its age — lots of nicks and dings unrepaired in the rooms and hallways. Breakfast bar was about average, but noticed the staff using the breakfast bar for their own socializing and eating from it. Just my opinion, but the breakfast bar area is for the guests and not employees to enjoy.
Front desk staff was certainly not as polite and professional as staffs I have dealt with at other Sleep Inn /​Choice Hotel properties.
