This is a busy take out spot… I’ve been eating here for over 10 years. The food is average but consistent and priced reasonably. I order the exact same thing every time(moo shi pork).

This is our go-to spot for affordable and good Chinese food in Roanoke. Obviously this isn’t super high end cuisine, but this is great food for an awesome price. I’ve tried quite a few other Chinese foods in Roanoke and so far China Wok has them beat by a good margin. I usually get chicken with garlic sauce, which is awesome, especially if you ask them to make it spicy. I’ve also ordered most of the other staple Chinese meals and nothing disappoints.

I always go to this place. It is our special place for holidays. We go there every New Year’s Eve. It is our tradition. I would recommend China Wok to anyone that love Chinese food. Very nice people that work there too. Food is awesome. Never had a bad meal.

Not bad. Average take out. There is a dining area, but it is obviously an afterthought and secondary to its take out service and doubles as storage area. Priced reasonable. Food was fresh. There is a steady syream of take out customers. There are not any fountain drinks or iced tea available, but hot tea is self service in the dining area, which was appreciated. Nothing spectacular but not disappointing either.

This place is very overlooked, in my opinion. I frequently stop by here for lunch, and I’ve yet to be disappointed by the service or food. Quality soup and lo-mein(in particular, their pork, which is heaven on earth).

I’ve stopped in on multiple occasions when I need a quick lunch for take-out or want to pick up something on the way home. I’ve tried many things on the menu, and the only thing I wasn’t really a fan of was the chicken chow mein. Otherwise, the lo mein, beef with broccoli, fried rice, chicken with vegetables are always reliable options. It’s a big step up from food court Chinese food and the staff is always very friendly. I’d think reasonable expectations are important when getting food at China Wok. It’s not anything amazing or groundbreaking, but it’s consistent, affordable and convenient. And compared to many of the terrible Asian buffets in town, I’d prefer this any day.

The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars: they will not fix your food ‘Chinese hot & spicy style.’ American hot and spicy is Texas Pete, and that’s not enough flavor. Other than that, I love the place. The house lo mein is my favorite, I always get it with no rice, pork, beef, chicken & shrimp, big shrimp, not the baby shrimp. This is the best lo mein I’ve found in Roanoke. The hot & sour soup is good too!

Afraid i gotta agree with Jim on this one. My favorite has always been beef egg foo yung. I got this nasty syrupy sweet gravy with it. I have never seen this before or since. I threw it away in fact threw all of it away. If you want a really good experience, got to New China City at peterscreek and shenandoah. Delicious!!!

The best and fastest delivery in the NW Roanoke area. Love the dumplings and Singapore noodles. The amount of food always leaves room for left overs to be eaten later. Food is delivered hot and you don’t have to leave you home. What is not to love?

This place was recommended by a hotel clerk at the Daleville Quality Inn as «his favorite Chinese restaurant in the Roanoke area». Nice guy, but bad recommendation. This place is «adequate» at best. It appears to be something more along the lines of a Chinese McDonald’s serving pre-made, pre-portioned, and pre-digested Chi-food from Sysco pre-paks. Yeah, it’s that bland. I asked for a normally spicy dish to be prepared extra hot(Chinese Hot) and got a very«Blah» dish made with cold uncooked broccoli(not room temp, not steamed, but cold from the fridge) If you just need to consume some Chi-calories then eating here is okay. But I would give this place a miss, holding out for something better. Not some place that uses part of their dining room as bulk storage. OK, most of their dining room as bulk storage. I really don’t know why this place has the good reviews it has received … one of the excellent reviews is from a person with only ONEREVIEW. Very suspicious. I wonder if it is someone associated with the restaurant … if so, very poor form. Unilocal is based on honest peer ratings. Shame on you.

China Wok is by far the best Chinese you can get in Roanoke. and the best price to boot. The staff remembers customers and takes us back to that small town feel where people know each other. Having gone there for lunch one day I had forgotten my wallet. China Wok gave me my food and told me «come back and pay when you can» how cool is that? of course I came back the next day and paid for two lunches! Wish they were open on Monday but if that’s the worst I can say they’re doing pretty damn good!

Been eating here for over 11 years. By far the best Chinese food in Roanoke and surrounding area. I remember when they expanded and I could finally eat there when I had time to. Awesome service, even better food and it always helps the reputation when there is always a line!

We ran here for lunch a couple weeks ago. I can’t believe I’ve never eaten here! It’s right across the street from my office. It was really tasty. I had the chicken with vegetable, hot and sour soup and a drink and I think it was $ 6. A great deal for the price. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well.

I needed some salt and had not had Chinese food in a few weeks. I pulled into China Wok and ordered garlic chix lunch special w/white rice and hot and sour soup. The price was right, the service was fast. The food was wicked hot(temperature) which I appreciate. I would ask for additional spice next time as the Roanoke palate for a hot or «spicy» dish is not consistent with mine. If I was driving by, and didn’t want Chinese food from a trough, I would stop again and try another dish. Probably try the egg roll vs. repeat on the soup.

This place is great for delivery order, take out, and dining in. The amt for lunch and dinner are nice size. I happen to go there just to try it out, and it was a busy day. It’s a busy place all the time bc it’s a great place for chinese! i love the garlic chix combo or the orange chix(extra spicy) combo with wonton soup(bc i dont care for egg rolls). this is the only place i crave when it comes to chinese food. i wish all the chinese places tasted like china wok off williamson rd… anything you order, although very typical chinese food dining, is tastier than any other chinese joint…
