Very cool little place and great service. Love the location, even has a pretty good view of the Mountainside. The bacon cheeseburger wrap was delicious.

Small place great for lunch. Anthony’s offers seating both inside and out. It is located in a very family friendly neighborhood with easily accessible parking in front of the establishment. The menu offers a good variety of sandwiches including subs and burgers and also a kids menu. Waffle fries and macaroni bites were crispy fried and tasted good. Sodas came with free refills and service was very pleasant and prompt. Service– A Cleanliness– B+ Service-B+ Food — B Restrooms are located in the back of the restaurant and offers a private one person restroom for men and a one restroom for women. The bathroom for women was well used but moderately clean.

Mediocre. Use to be great especially for breakfast but two omelettes, one coffee with tip, $ 24. And the omelettes were not what they use to be, smaller, dry, flat and slopped on the plate with a scattering of home fries. No more.

Location is great but food is mediocre at best. The breakfast options were plentiful, but there was nothing for someone wanting a moderately healthy meal. It was clear the ingredients weren’t high quality(they even list their vendors on the menu: land o lakes, guiness seafood — what? -, among other wal-mart staples). Wouldn’t return.

Stopped by for a quick bite for dinner. Emily waited on us. She was professional, attentive, and friendly. I had the New-Orleans style burger… nice portions and good presentation. We’ll be back!

Food was mediocre at best. Nachos supreme were skimpy and included low quality ingredients. Staff person seemed very annoyed that I wanted to pay my bill. I said thank you and she said nothing– didn’t even look at me. Not a very clean place either.

The food was good as was the service. The cinnamon bun was superb. The waitress was nice and attentive, not to mention cute.

The food is completely acceptable, very«no-frills» as another Unilocaler mentioned. I live in the neighborhood and come here maybe once a month for breakfast. If it was solely based on food, I’d probably give them only three stars. They earn four because of the wonderfully friendly service. I always bring my two(large) dogs to sit on the patio, and they are welcomed with a water dish and some nice attention. So yay for neighborhood wonderfulness and dependably ok food

I have never been disappointed when I come to the one on Crystal Spring. The food is always great and the atmosphere is very hometown oriented.

We had lunch here a couple months ago and it was ok. I ordered the catfish special and nothing was super exciting. It was all edible, which is more than I can say for some of the places we have been.

Had lunch here several times and the food is always great. Yesterday’s Lunch: Reuben with Fries. The food was delivered quickly and the waitress was very friendly. The outside seating area was nice.

Famous A’s offers one of the best breakfasts in Roanoke IMHO. Locally owned with several locations, this one in South Roanoke is the location I have dined at the most. Today: Anthony’s omelet: 3 eggs stuffed with sliced mushrooms, country sausage, and cheese; served with potatoes(or grits or fried apples) and wheat toast(or biscuit) for under $ 7 plus coffee for $ 1.59. Here they never let your coffee cup get empty and the food comes out quickly, always hot and always delicious. Famous A’s offers a varietal lunch and dinner menu as well, but for breakfast in Roanoke, they are hands-down my favorite.
