Loved this place. Stopped by by chance because I was in the neighborhood. I had the Palak Paneer and have been dreaming about it ever since! Very simple atmosphere and great prices!!!

Awesome food — tried several things. The samosa, garlic bread(naan) and chicken 65 were all amazing!!! The Butter chicken was good — just sweeter than I personally like. But some members of my group loved it!

We are new to Roanoke, and we’ve been trying out all of the local Indian restaurants. I spent a year living in New Delhi. Indika is, by far, the best Indian food in town. Mainly what is good is that they don’t tone down all of the spice for an American audience. The food tastes completely authentic. But, even more, this restaurant would be tasty even in India(at a simple restaurant). The spices are subtle and complex – especially for such a hole in the wall. Try the butter chicken or the paneer tika masala. The naan is fresh, the basmati rice aromatic, as it should be. A very good deal for the price. We’ll be back – but next time I want to try the South Indian food – the masala dosa. My only criticism would be that the harsh fluorescent lights leave something to be desired, and I wish they wouldn’t use Styrofoam(for environmental reasons). But the seating area is in more of a take-out restaurant than a place with ambience, and that’s why the price is right.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. I got the chicken 65 and two types of naan. The chicken was delicious and juicy and the blend of spices was great. I would also recommend the garlic naan and aloo paratha.

This is the best, freshest Indian food I have had in Roanoke. We had some sweet puff pastries with potato, the fried cauliflower, and a fermented pancake. I wish I could remember the names of these dishes so I could recommend them wholeheartedly. I am not an Indian cuisine aficionado but this food was obviously made from scratch and prepared fresh. I would highly recommend it for the adventurous eater or the folks that might visit the buffet at our other Indian restaurants in Roanoke. P. S. if you are looking for something really interesting try the savory spiced soda

Ordered chicken tikka masala with rice and naan to go. I am no expert but thought it was very good. Nice warm heat, great taste, not greasy. Reasonable price and I probably could have shared it with somebody if it wasn’t so good. Fast service and it took an understandable 5 – 10 minutes to cook it. Glad to wait because you know they made it fresh to order. Inside restaurant is very basic café but lively. Looking forward to trying some more dishes. Give it a try.

My husband and I enjoy international food and Indian is one of it. Let me just say we can eat the real Indian food and not the one that is tapered down with the spice level. This place definitely needs lot of improvement. First, time matters, if you are calling if fast food, the meal should be served within 5 to 10 minutes of order, our food took 30 to 40 minutes to serve. Second, the portion size needs to be matching the price charged. Please don’t charge $ 2.99 for a very small cup or mango lassi. They need to either reduce prices or increase their serving portion. Lastly, the quality of food was great the first time we went but the second time, the dosa was burned as well as buns for the pav bhaji. Also, the Chickpeas curry serving size with bread was very small. This place needs some improvement for sure. Giving it 2 stars because food was good on our first visit

Just excellent. Fast. Reasonably priced. Clean. Real Indian food made to order. Very nice owners and staff. Ask for the English interpretation menu. Went last night and will be back soon. Serves lunch then closes 3 – 5 pm. Reopens for dinner.
