NTB-National Tire & Battery

Every time I come here to get a quote on tires, I get three different quotes on the same tire and they can’t explain why their Road Hazard warranty is better for a higher price than at the Toyota Dealership, Discount Tire or Walmart.
I just want a straight answer, a good value for the price I pay and a trustworthy tire guy. Seems I can’t find any of these things here at NTB.
From the previous ratings, looks like I dodged high prices and aggravation by walking out.
This last time 2÷20÷16, I asked for the price of 1 tire. Was told it was $ 118. Then asked what my mounted and balanced price was, the price then came in as $ 208. When I asked why it was almost double, he ‘double checked’ the screen and I saw where he had included mounting and balancing of 4 tires rather than the 1 asked pricing on. Accident perhaps but reading the other reviews, I think it’s more like padding the price to increase a commission perhaps on the sale?

If I could give them a 0 I would. HORRIBLE service. We were told it would take an hour to get tires mounted and it took over three hours before they even touched our truck. When we confronted the manager Danny, he told us «I don’t care about your problem» infront of all the employees and customers. Needless to say, corporate and the DM are now involved. Go anywhere but here!!! Discount Tires will be getting our business from now on.

But this place is SHADY!!!
I came in for an alignment because I was about to go on a road trip and i wanted to have my car in good condition before hitting the road, I didnt want to be left stranded in the middle of nowhere.
About an hour later I get a call from NTB letting me know there were a couple of other things that needed to be fixed…
heres the list:
$ 654.96 worth of parts and labor:
Rear Suspendion Strut
TBC EPIC Tour
Tire disposal
Strut R&R
Tire installation
and some other stuff that i have no clue what they are.
I was concerned because of my road trip so i asked if it was completely necessary to fix them today, as I didnt have TIME or MONEY., they told me it didnt have to be fixed today. but for sure in the next 1000 miles.
So after hearing that. i decided to take my road trip anyway, I went to Amarillo and I was going to fix my car when i got back…
I got really scared in Amarillo and decided Maybe i should fix this before heading back to Fort Worth.
So i took it in to a local mechanic in Amarillo (a friend of friend type of place)
and they tell me theres NOTHING wrong with my car.
Even my tired were fine.
WTF: I was so upset, IS it because i’m a girl and you assume that i dont know anything about cars???
IF SO, NOT COOL.
and YES i know NOTHING about cars, bur from now On i will get 2^nd opinions.
and that’s exactly what i did. when i got back home, i had my brother reccomend a place in Denton and I took my car in for a 3RD opinion and same thing… THERES NOTHING wrong with your car.
4 months later, and almost 10,000 miles (took another road trip to california)
My car is doing just fine. Nothing wrong with her. I’ve only had to do a couple of oil changes here and there.
I WILL NEVER go to NTB again. Not Even for tires.
The Only good thing that happened from this was:
I had my daughter with me through the whole process and i was able to teach her a lesson… IF you dont know what theyre talking about. ALWAYS get a second opinion. dont just say YES to everything they tell you. Specially if its going to cost a lot of money.

Came in very late on way home from work with nail in my tire. Store Manager got me in and out with repaired tire AND didn’t even charge for the service.
Great customer service.
