I really hesitate to make negative reviews but I have to admit, this was the worst pedicure experience I’ve ever had. I’m new to the area and don’t know anyone here and am relying heavily on sites like Unilocal to find local businesses. I would not recommend this salon.
I just got home and took a closer look at my toes and they’re unacceptable. I will say the manager was very friendly and professional and recommended some other local places to me like hair salons, etc. She was great. The tech who did my pedicure, not so much. Yasmin (???) I think was her name?
First of all, I paid for the most expensive pedicure. For $ 40 I walked out of there with nails I could have painted better for free. She hardly buffed my feet at all so the bottoms of my feet aren’t smooth. She never buffed my nails at all. She clipped my nails but barely filed them — my big toe nail is crooked. For the «Deluxe» pedicure I was supposed to get an «extended massage» (per their website) I got no massage. She was so busy trying to sell me on becoming my new hair stylist that she wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing. She slathered some lotion on my legs. That’s all. I had the paraffin treatment and when I got up I realized that she didn’t even get all the wax off my feet — I had to wipe it off with a towel.
Finally, she got paint all. Over. My. Feet. I have polish on my skin on all of my toes, she even got it on my flip flops. On my pinky toe she didn’t even bother To try and «color in the lines.» She just slapped some paint all over it and then used a q-​tip to remove the excess. Only she didn’t remove all the excess. I have paint all over my skin on both pinky toes. I have never seen a professional do that anywhere.
I think it’s unprofessional to spend so much time trying to sell me on getting to do my hair at a different salon. She talked about it the entire time and even went to her car to get her phone to show me videos. I was trying to be polite but her work on my feet had already told me she was never touching my hair.
Finally, she asked me for legal advice when she found out I’m a lawyer even though I told her that I don’t take clients from the public, I only work for one specific company. I do not mean this in a snobby way at all, but I didn’t come here to give out free advice, I came here to relax and not think about work. I don’t show up to your salon and expect a free pedicure, so don’t expect me to do my job for free.
The salon is very pretty and when you walk in you think it will be so nice. But you sit on hard benches with straight backs. They don’t have those luxurious and pillowy salon chairs. You can’t lay back and enjoy the experience, even if it is a bad one.
I won’t be back.

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful services that your staff, Sarah and Julianna, did for my daughter on the day of her prom. Everyone loved her hair and makeup and was asking where she had them done at. She had a wonderful time! I wish we could put a picture of her on here.

I am a fan. As a stylist, I am very aware of all the rules and regulations for salons. Polished is very clean and in my experience, they follow the VA health regulations. I love to go by myself, with friends and family. My favorite feature, besides the nice staff, is the ability to book my appointment online. I am a mom and time is of the essence. They do a great job with my shellac manicure and pedicure. Definitely recommended.

I had an incredible hot stone massage with Ashley last month — it was very relaxing and such a fun treat! Polished is a wonderful salon/​spa with a unique touch to the normal nail salon. I enjoy visiting and am already looking forward to my next appointment!

They are super friendly and have the best pedicures!!! The price is excellent for the great service that you get!!! The whole salon is very clean and super cute.

The salon is clean and attractive. My technician did a great job on my pedicure. She was friendly, but didn’t try to talk my ear off. She took her time and was very focused on small details. I will return, partly because the business helps give local women a skill and a leg up and they donate a portion of various treatments to local charities.

I would like to rate this higher as the concept is a nice one… attempting to pamper you with your choice of scented lotion for your foot/​hand massage with your pedi/​mani and then a glass of champagne while you get the nail job. And the owner is quite friendly and accommodating. HOWEVER, having had pedicures far and wide in larger cities and in foreign countries… you would do best to stick with the Vietnamese/​Asian run salons… they do a far better job. For $ 30 I got a very mediocre pedi, with almost none of my callouses removed off the soles of my feet. The young woman who did mine was a newbie… I admire the owner for wanting to help this young woman out, who is recently arrived to the US, however, she lacked the skills and should not charging the full price… she clearly needs more training.
