I was searching for yarn shops on and came across Color Crossing in Roberts WI. Really? In Roberts!!! Cool! We just happened to be going for a drive that very same day and we stopped in to take a look around. The store is easy to spot with the colorful paint job on the building. We got a spot in front of the shop and wandered in. When you walk in the door there is seating in the entryway. Nice. I noticed a couple of benches outside as well — so if you are inspired you can take a seat and just chill with your knitting/crochet. We stepped into the shop and it was just awesome. Tons of space — neatly organized. Sample projects hanging from the walls. My hubby was impressed as well — being a non-knitter who goes to many a yarn shop with me and built my Knitting Alcove in our basement I value his opinion on such things. They have plenty of room to shop and more than one person can look at yarn at one time. Very nice. I chatted with the lady working the counter area and she let me know the shop had been there 4 years already! How could I have missed this for four years??? Very friendly and knowledgable this wonderful lady was.(I forget her name but she was very nice!) When I told her about my sock knitting fiasco where I snapped the needle in half and that I was going to try and learn to knit socks but maybe on circular needles — she told me to stop in on one of the open help days and she would get me going on them. How nice! And did I mention a wonderful yarn selection as well as needles and other fun stuff. I told myself to only spend $ 20.00 and I ended up at just over $ 50.00. I can’t resist the yummy yarns. I will definetly be back to this shop and am already plotting on taking my mom here to feed her yarn addiction. Yay for Color Crossing!
