Ten stars for the 288 Burger! It’s their Monday special and you need to go tomorrow. Or any night, because even though it’s cheapest on Mondays, it’s worth it anytime. After experiencing In n Out burgers in CA, I’m ruined for burgers. But RJ’s delivers. It’s really a combination of In n Out and a Big Mac. It’s EXCELLENT. I’m SONOT a fan of typical bar burgers — I do NOT like when it’s a big fat chunk of meat. This burger has 2 thin patties and delicious sauce. We always think it’s got a v faint curry flavor. Wow, so delicious. Their onion rings are fantastic especially if you ask for a side of ranch. Their ranch is so good! Burgers come w potato chips but skip those and ask for rings instead. Or fries if you like them more. They do crinkle-cut. We usually get a side salad too, which is iceberg, tomatoes, and croutons — nothing great or exciting — but fresh, and their ranch dressing is really good. Service is friendly. There are a couple arcade games and TV’s all around to watch the game or whatever. Taco Night is 75 cent(I think) ground beef tacos that are pretty good, and Pizza Night is worth it with Sir Taco(located next door) pizza at $ 5 for a medium. This place has been around for ages and you should go look. Start on Monday(burger night) and work your way through the week!

Best wings in Michigan. Time warp to the early 90’s. What more could you ask for? If you so inclined to getting dirty after gobbling up the best damn wings you will ever have, get a 288 burger. This burger is often imitated but never duplicated. Slap on a side of seasoned fries with that 288 and you have yourself a little slice of heaven. Finally, this is the ultimate place to nurse a hangover. Low light and absolutely no natural light due to the fact that are no windows in the place. They say the cause is the cure. I disagree. Rj’s is the cure ya little B.

Total neighborhood dive bar. Bar food which is what it is-expect non-stellar bar food. But they serve Sir Pizza which is good stuff. We always sit at bar and always get excellent service, very attentive, drinks never empty. Last time, she checked in on us alot, I mean, very on top of it! So the bartenders are fully responsible for the 4th star. One big downside is their drinks are kind of pricey for what the place is. Capt Morgan runs $ 5.75, Titos runs $ 6.50. I’m not too savvy on dive bar pricing so I don’t know what should be typical. In fact, in Birmingham, I’m sure I pay $ 7-$ 11 for Titos and don’t bat an eyelash because I expect that. It just seems for the ambience, for what the place is, I’d expect more like $ 4.50-$ 5.00 for Capt and $ 5.50-$ 6 for Titos. The price difference for each bottle is only about $ 5.00. So it irks me when a bar significantly up charges their liquor just because it’s popular and people will order it. I mean, business is business, I get it. But let’s face it, this is a dive bar and not one of those trendy ones in Detroit.

The restaurant bar is surprisingly good! The is not any Windows; however, don’t get turn around go inside! The food is all decent and the drinks are cheap. We spent less here than at the place around the corner. And had more fun! I had the deluxe burger with cheese and fries. It was good for bar food. I had one giant beer that I thought was a pint, but I don’t think they have any. It was a deuce deuce beer glass! My buddy had 4 run and cokes. We enjoyed the Red Wing atmosphere here too. And there were lots of families just after 7 pm when we arrive. We will return.

Cute little dive bar for last minute. Dine in for food super quick– ehhhhh Service was good but over priced for bar food. They need to offer specials. It’s hidden in the strip mall and probably just a place locals go. Not too impressed. Ok for last minute.

Love this place! Staff is always friendly and the food and drinks are great. It’s the best«whole in a wall» spot in town. TVs everywhere, darts and even a juke box :) Also, unlike many bars, the bathrooms are clean! If you’re looking for a quiet local place to relax, drink a beer and watch a game, this is the spot.

Great place to grab a burger, and hang out with your friends. Great beer at more then fair prices. The owner is a really nice guy who you can see working most often. You can tell he really cares, and goes above and beyond for his customers. Flavored Wings are also awesome.

The wait staff was great but the owner has some unrectified daddy issues. I’d love to review the food but our group of over 10 was asked to leave before we were served. Our DD asked to move us to a larger table but that was met with a somewhat bipolar response from the owner who called the requester a fag(he’s married to a woman) then kicked him out. He was our DD so we left with him to go to golden eagle which is a great local bar.

What a joke. The owner is inconsiderate and hot tempered. Wish I could say something good about my wife and I’s one and only visit here.

My first(and now only) visit, despite being a lifelong Rochester Hills resident, was a 100% disappointment. The manager has massive anger issues, and ruined our evening. I won’t be going back.

If you like beer, TV’s, and some good olé Za from the nextdoor crib then RJ’s is a-okay in your book friend.

If you want to watch a Red Wings game, or just want to hangout at an amazing place and not spend a lot of money, this is the place for you. I’ve been going to RJ’s for years, and they never fail to disappoint. Beer is very reasonable, especially if you’re splitting a pitcher with someone. As for food, you can’t go wrong with the wings(honey fire sauce), burgers, pizza from Sir or the nachos. I would recommend this place to anyone, but I try not to as I don’t want to lose my favorite spot to more people!

This is Rochester’s Cheers. Good bar food including great wings, pizza, nachos and burgers. Cold beer at reasonable prices. What’s not to like ? The service is usually good with friendly waitresses. Stop on in and kick back.

Was expecting to love this place based on my initial impression, but it faded quickly. While I didn’t order anything(get this… I came for the AC/DC pinball machine. Shocker.), my friend did, and the servers are awkward and clueless and just all-around bad. Ten minutes after he got his beer, a woman came by to ask to see his I.D. Uh, little late there. They do have some great specials depending on the day you visit. Hopefully the food is better than the service — I also like the ambiance. It has a dive kind of vibe, but… it’s kind of nice? As for the pinball machine, why the hell do they even have it? Why would you buy an AC/DC pinball machine and then disable the sound on it? Would you buy a book with the pages ripped out? Come on. I mean if it were a pinball table that wasn’t based off of a BAND I might understand it, but instead I had to listen to «American Top Crappy» playlist. I will probably come back to see how their food is, but the service is bad, and the AC/DC machine is rendered essentially pointless when you can’t hear any of the music.

I am hesitant to write this review just because I do not want to lose this place to the trendy masses. Since being back in Michigan from California there is a severe shortage of places that I would frequent on a regular basis but RJ’s is one of them! Great place to catch a Wings game with beer specials daily and food specials as well. Monday night is 288 burger night. Imagine attempting at home to remake a Big Mac and stumbling on a far better burger concoction and there you have the 288. All that goodness with a side of chips and you guessed it, $ 2.88! My wife and I demolished 1 and ½ burgers each and that with a side of seasoned crinkle fries, a soda and a tall beer(Oberon) and walked out for $ 22.00. Everything hot and fresh or cold and refreshing just the way it should be! Looking forward to Tuesday’s night special of a medium pizza with one topping for just $ 5! I know, I broke the first rule of fight club… you never talk about fight club, but this place deserves a little recognition in a land of overpriced pretentious trendy wannabees. RJ’s pub is rockin!

Great food! This is the best kept secret in Rochester Hills! The food is always great, fantastic specials and great people. We love this place. Best wings in Michigan.
