The Pointe Academy of Dance

Nothing could be further from the truth than the previous review about tolerating mean girls at the Pointe Academy. Between my 3 daughters (one with special needs) we have danced at 4 different studios in the area. We have had a very negative experience with bullying at another studio in particular. Pointe Academy’s nurturing, non-​competitive (but still striving for excellence), and family friendly environment is exactly why we will dance no where else, even though the location is not particularly close for us. The teachers really care about the dancers and offer loving, professional instruction. The studio is small, but that is also one thing I like about it, because the dancers get to know each other and become one big, supportive family. Pointe Academy is a real jewel in Rochester Hills!

Good instruction, but too-​small facility and apparent tolerance of mean girls really hurts this studio. Oh, and they threatened to sue me for a negative review. Nice, huh? Much happier at other Troy studio.
