I would think twice before renting form here. The one advantage I have is renting from a private owner. My front door has literally been flaking paint and showing bare metal for over 18 months. Seems like an easy fix replacing with a newly painted door, or repairing mine in the warmer months. But two summers have pasted with no resolution. May seem like a minor complaint, but if they can’t paint a front door what else can’t they do. Just awful customer service. Many other options locally to consider.

Absolutely awful. Sandra (the manager) is by far the most unprofessional person I have ever done business with. On several occasions she has stated that our conversations «were exhausting», that she «has better things to do.» In one specific occasion she attempted to physically remove me from her office; all in front of her new maintenance personnel. Aside from her atrocious attitude and blatant disrespect for her tenants, the phone in this office is NEVER answered; and you’d be struck by lightening before you can get a returned phone call… This behavior is also reflected in the corporate office. Kelly (Sandra’s boss) is 10X worse. Yelling over the phone, hanging up on the tenants when expressing concerns regarding Sandra­‘s behavior. Blatant lies to the property owner (Howard, who you also can NEVER get a returned call from) disclosing opinionated responses that are just asinine. This whole company is just corrupt. The «Gated Community» has gates that NEVER work. They are always broken, and «under repair» for weeks to months at a time. The carports are dilapidated, as well as the grounds. They jack up your rent and you expect to see those funds utilized to beautify the community for tenant retention; instead you make your payment and get treated horribly by the office staff. The units are terribly outdated (understood when signing, but promised upgrades that never come)… If you’re a smart person, you’ll heed these responses as warnings and take your money elsewhere. This is by far the WORST living arrangement since DHS Management took over the property. My own neighbor who owns her condo, and has lived in the community for 10 years is moving out due the negligent, irrational, and unprofessional behavior displayed by Sandra. Just an absolutely AWFUL company.

Whispering Winds of Rochester hills is a complete disaster after the new management team took over a while ago. The entire complex looks like a dump! First, they do not mulch anywhere and the grass is a disaster (dead patches everywhere). Second, maintenance does not show up for appointments they make with tenants. Third, it takes them forever to fix property issues on the premises such as huge potholes all around the complex which is a BIG eye sore (the entire complex needs to be repaved), the Hot Tub does not work after the pool opened a month ago and for whatever reason, they never put up the tennis court net as of yet, the paint on my outside door is peeling terribly and they will not repaint it or others doors and the sprinkler units are busted sitting in the grass (who knows if they work or if they even plan on turning them on, ever). Fourth, they decided to put in a key-​less entry for access to the club house after hours and instead of setting this up for tenants to use their current key-​less entry fobs, they want you to pay for a new one to have access which is an additional $ 40 per fob! Fifth, the property manager leaves notes on everyone’s door about rules, etc., BUT fails to mention any of the above issues noted above and when they expect to have these issues resolved — I am sure tenants would like to know what is going on where they pay to live. It is just one thing after another and for the price to rent (or buy) at this place, it is not worth it. The appliances in most of the apartments are EXTREMELY outdated (orange/​brown color) and anyone would expect more for what they charge. Plus, the rent tends to continually go up over time, but the place just gets seems to get worse. It is extremely frustrating that this place can’t seem to get it together. I like to mind my own business and not be bothered and not bother the staff about any issues, I just wish this place would get it together.
