Bob S. once again. So — you«restored» the clock? Your own words say it was unreliable and you were unable to fix. You had my clock for 529 days, lied, made promises that weren’t kept. You polished the silver. Wow. Lot’s of expertise needed for that. I have not reviewed anything else on line — ever. This guy is so bad that I keep coming back to check and make sure no one uses him. Especially like how he rates his own work at 5 stars. Absolutely the worst consumer experience I have ever had. Look at some of the other reviews on line. I wish I had. Stay classy Pete.

It is clear that Bob did not read my reply carefully, and missed the word«restore». I do not expect all of my customers to fully understand or appreciate the time and skill it requires to repair clock mechanisms. Diagnosis of wear issues, disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, mounting each wheel in a lathe and polishing pivots, installing new brass bushings in worn out plate holes, repairing damaged, bent, or broken parts, reassembling, adjusting, lubricating, testing etc, requires much skill, and many hours of tedious work. This is becoming a lost art in America, and there are thousands of requests for repairs, made in a dwindling number of repairmen, left who care to provide this service to the community.
