Batteries Plus

This place is a joke… Long story short, my key fob needed a replacement battery and so I decided for convenience I would go here. The battery I needed was priced like most stores in town so I thought why not. While I was waiting, one of the employees gave me the signal to hand him my keys so he could take the battery out to replace it. Keep in mind, it takes him less than 10 seconds to take the back off and pop the battery out and put a new one in. When it was time to pay I saw a «fob installation fee» of $ 8.99 almost 3x more than the battery itself. I made a fuss because he didn’t tell me there was this fee, I thought it was just to help me along so I could get rung up after the next person. If I had known this «scam fee» would have been applied I would have taken it out myself, which I am more than capable. After it’s all said and done, they never did take the price off for this «install fee» that an ape could perform without a problem, and I made sure they knew I wouldn’t be back. I guess thinking people and are a herd of sheep and so clueless as to how to take a battery out makes them some money without telling the customer that’s «policy». Bologna.

Had five watches that needed new batteries. Friendly staff removed backs, replaced batteries, checked that they were working, and charged me a reasonable price – all while I waited the few minutes for him to do this.
