My boyfriend and I were traveling from Arizona and were interesting in switching from Sprint to Verizon. 3 years ago when we initially got our iphones, we had gone through Best Buy in Rochester as well, and had a very pleasant, easy experience. Given the fact that we had tried to do this transition in Arizona and the employees at the Best Buy in Arizona were complete idiots and not helpful at all, we figured we would have better luck in our home state, which, for starters, doesn’t rank at the bottom of the educational scale. What a difference in customer service, product know-how, and plan in’s and out’s. We worked with Cody during the time that we were trying to figure all of this out, and he was amazing. He explained everything in a manner that was clear and concise, and he did everything he could to get us a new plan and some new phones. Alas, Verizon just rolled out a very SkyNet-esque fraud policy that locks down applications that are from people who are out of state. This policy is new and apparently cannot be overridden by supervisors. The minute one person unlocked it, the computer automatically relocked it. It was very frustrating for us and for the people trying to help us. What was most frustrating is knowing that we would have to do this transaction back in Arizona, where printing shopping cart lists off of seems to be about the extent of the experience their employees have. However, Cody did everything right, and spent a significant amount of time trying to help us. We appreciated that so much, and truly wish that things would have worked out for us to have given him our business. All of you in the Rochester area, go see Cody at Best Buy Mobile… he’ll get you all set up… as long as you’re not from another state. ;)

Yes, like the other review they are not very service oriented here. I needed a cell powere adapter and no one seemed interested in helping me, finally a girl showed up and got me served. Their prices seemed a little high too, but I’m sure its because they are at the mall. I didn’t have time to shop online.

I reluctantly went back there again to check out some phones as my contract had expired. During my conversation with the girl working there, starts texting! She did more texting than talking. It was very awkward at first as she would stop mid sentence to read/write the text. I left her mid-text. What kind of a place is this?
