BGRI is one of main ice rinks in the area and hosts many hockey games and tournaments. It is a pretty good facility for that overall. Parking can be a bit of hassle during big tournaments or if one of the local colleges are playing here. One note, don’t park on the Monroe Community College property (like along the roadside) or the MCC police will give you a ticket.
Check out the website for their calendar of skate times. Casual skaters should find the ice time (2 hours) and rentals fairly affordable and many options for «open» or public skating, as far as times and days, in part because of the number of rinks. But the quality of the ice has varied at times from freshly resurfaced to surprisingly rough.
I have never had the food here so I can’t speak to that but I would guess it is not far off the typical Bill Gray’s style of dining.

We have been going to this rink for almost a year now but it turned into such a big disappointment! From now on they don’t let parents/​coaches skate and train their kids. What is the point then to even go to their skate and shoot sessions? We stop going to this rink, unfortunately. I don’t think it is a smart move in terms of business too.

This is a awesome facility !!! 4 sheets/​rinks… Great prices for skate&shoot, public sessions, etc… Staff is great !

Nice facilities! With 4 rinks there is nearly almost always one available daily for family skating. That being said the hours can be somewhat limited. If you have not been let me give you the scoop: when you go in thru the main entrance, go to the desk and pay/​get wristband — then go downstairs and rent skates if need be, and you can enter the rinks from there too. When you finish skating, there is a Bill Grays upstairs to have a nice hot cocoa, burger, even a beer!

I brought my 8 yr old and 6 yr old to open skate. We had a lot of fun. This was a fun family experience.

My wife and I went skating at the Iceplex today. We had a great time. The people were nice, the facilities were clean and in good repair. We loved skating there.
