A neighborhood park of perfect size for the younger daredevils that aren’t quite ready for full height monkey bars. This play area is perfectly located on a quieter main road(Cooper) and an even quieter side road(Bristol). It is easily the best playground set up I have been to in the area for toddlers. The single structure provides physical play activities with the three slides, a ventilated tunnel, and multiple ladder/stair options. Studious munchkins are entertained with two big round plastic spinny wall things, one for counting and the other for tic-tac-toe, as well as a noisy turning beed-filled wheel thingy. While an older child would probably become bored with what this park offers, it will keep your preschooler satisfied the whole morning. A small but popular train car provides seating for 4 pint sized passengers with window views all around. Why anyone would want to sit inside a small box under the summer sun I don’t know, but this thing is a must-see according to my 2 year old. Sharing is a bit difficult when it comes to the swings with only one toddler seat and one infant swing(the toddler seat is the bowl with leg holes, the infant seat is like a big plastic chair with harness). My son has a strong hatred of swings so I personally haven’t had a problem here, nor have I witnessed a hissy fit. The playground has wood chip ground cover so leave your sand toys at home. You would be smart to bring a ball and a blanket, however, and enjoy the shaded lawn. The whole park is about the size of a home lot with a bit of a hilly terrain, so don’t plan any full scale flag football — a game of tag is more the style here. While the lovely grassy knolls are shaded, the play structure is sunny for most of the day. There are benches at the sidelines, but most moms opt to relax on the grass as the benches are also often out of the cool shade. The structure has a few«roofs» and we haven’t had a sun burn yet, but combined with the running around it does get warm. Be sure to bring a cool drink as I don’t think there’s a water fountain.
