Changes Afoot Women’s Reflexology & Massage

Denise Tonkinson is Rochester’s only certified foot reflexologist and she knows her stuff! After being told by a foot specialist my arches were collapsing and that I had plantar fasciitis and would need «arch supports», I said no way and started strengthening my God-​given arches by doing toe curls and walking and running barefoot. It’s been a 5 year transition but the best thing I’ve ever did for myself. Who needs arch supports when my feet just needed a little musculature and faith? Anyway, I started seeing Denise 2 years ago as I learned the importance of foot health and how blockages of energy in our body can be manifested by aches in our feet and vice versa. I used to say «ouch, ouch» when she started because of the calcium deposits but now my feet are super flexible, strong, and with no deposits or tightness. Other than a little tenderness in the adrenal gland area when I’m stressed or the area of my left shoulder (old 5^th grade injury), my feet reveal I’m in amazing health.
