I’ve decided I need to just work my way through the entire menu. Everything I’ve tried has FAR exceeded expectations. Every. Single. Thing. Their pizza, their subs, their sides, their pasta. It’s all AMAZING. I especially urge you to try their carbonara. It is a carb-lover’s wet dream; rich, creamy pasta that’s cooked perfectly with delicious morsels of bacon. How can you go wrong?!

I live near Charlie’s the food is good never had any problem with the food. The problem is I’ve been there about ten times, the service is terrible. I call in my order from home and they tell me 20 min. I arrive after 20 min. And end up waiting another 20 min every single time. Then I watch my dinner sit on the counter for ten minutes before its all put together and I able to pay and leave, as the girl apologizes many times for the wait. I’m still trying to figure out why I still go there.

Food is excellent, customer service is okay. Just don’t actually eat-​in, or pick it up. It’s like they don’t care that people are actually inside their establishment. They talk about whatever they want whenever they want. They’re loud. They get into arguments. It’s like they think it’s soundproof or something. I’ll continue to order from them, but it’ll always be delivery.

Probably the best pizza in Rochester, and there’ dozens of pizza places in this town. Delivery is prompt, and the quality is there, with a wide selection. If you’re in the mood for pizza, Charlie’s is your best bet.

Veal Parmesan was exceptional and the sauce was amazing; simple, fresh yet complex in flavor. The juxtaposition of the fresh herbs with the wonderfully acidic tomato base danced across taste buds like a samba. The tender veal was breaded and cooked to perfection and carefully nested in the delicate bed of angel hair pasta. We paired this with a rich chianti and a green salad at home. We’ll return to Charlie’s again!

We were driving by on the highway and the great rating is what drew us in. The food was great and the staff was very polite. The locals clearly love it too. Great spot for some quick pizza and subs!

I have lived in Rochester for 12 years, we use to order from Charlie’s quite a bit then stopped for a while after some errors on our orders. I decided to try again… big error on my part in the last 3 orders they screwed up two subs, this time I called and asked for a replacement sub and was told because I asked for a steak, onion and green pepper sub and did not specify no cheese they assumed it should have cheese, so no they would not bring me another sub because they were busy. The young lady that I spoke with was very snide — VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE… I work in Customer Service and I am on the phone all day with people, this is not the way it is done. So for all the good sandwiches they make this has ended my relationship with them. All that is left to say is sorry Charlie you lose my business.

best chicken fingers for miles! pizza is good, unique crust with a sweeter sauce. Apps and sides are ok– would łike to see homemade French fries/​sides added to the menu– frozen tasting with a lack of soul.

The best pizza in Rochester? Hardly. That title belongs to Bella Fresca. Charlie’s isn’t terrible by any means, and it’s miles better than Village Pizza– beats New England Pizza as well. But I can’t quite rave about it. The pizza I got was skimpy on toppings and nothing to write home about. I would certainly be willing to go back, though.

The reason to Charlie’s is that it is the best pizza in Rochester. All around delicious with generous toppings and tasty sauce on a hand tossed crust. The pizza is fabulous for the price!
The seat at Charlie’s is not very cozy so I recommend take-​out or delivery.

They somehow managed to screw up my totally basic sandwich order quite noticeably, but they still get 4 stars from me because the sandwich they gave me instead was incredibly delicious. I just can’t hate it.

One of the best places in the Seacoast area for perfect pizza and amazing subs! The appetizers are also great. The staff was friendly as well as fast. We would recommend anyone trying this place!!! Looking forward to going back again to try something new!

Glad we found this place on Unilocal!We were driving through on our way to Maine and wanted some Pizza. After checking reviews, we decided on Charlies and I’m glad we did. We have a small meat lovers pizza and a buffalo chicken calazone. Both were delicious. The pizza was covered in toppings and the crust was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by the calazone. It was my boyfriend’s pick and I wasn’t so sure, but it was great. As we sat there eating our meal, the place was packed with people picking up orders and calling in for delivery. I can see why they stay so busy! Great meal!
