This is a great neighborhood dive bar. As long as you know that it’s a dive bar, I think you’ll have a great time. The service was quick, its a huge space, and there are a few pool tables and dart boards. Also, they have the best free bar popcorn I have ever eaten. I would definitely rate it as one of my favorite dive bars in the city.

Great bar if you got a large group of friends that want to drink and play games. They recently got a basketball game that is really fun. 4 dart boards and 2 pool tables. Good bar tenders. Good variety of beer and liquor. The crowd Is alway a mix of ages every time I go. I have not had a chance to order food but I have been told several times from my friends they have great wings.

The Dr’s Inn Grill & Tap Room is a dive bar on East Avenue across from Wegmans that features darts and billiard tables. The bar has large beer selection and daily rotating drink specials. The food menu is limited to mostly fried food, but their chicken wings are surprisingly good with a signature sauce. The staff is friendly and casual. This is a great spot for a cheap drink.

Solid Sunday dive bar complete with .45c wings, a jamming juke box, sweet bartender, friendly regulars and cheap drinks. New fave.

it’s a good dive bar. I went there on a Saturday night, not many people though. They have three pool tables, which is good, cuz most of bars I go only have one or two at most. I gave it three stars, cuz it’s not really my type of bars. It’s good to go there once in a while if you want to see something different. I don’t know if I’m gonna ever go back again. I had a good time there though.

If I’m looking to drink a beer and eat some wings on a Sunday, the Dr. Inn is my place of choice. $ 0.45 wings and cheap domestics, as well as some other specials make this place really affordable. Combine that with the fact that it has free darts and pool on Sundays along with plenty of TVs to watch your game of choice and you have a winning combination. I can’t imagine anyone going to the Drs. Inn for the wonderful ambiance, but the beer is always cold and the wings are some of the best I’ve had in Rochester. A combination of the Hot and Garlic Parmesan wings was the perfect blend of spice and flavor.

One of my nearby fave dive bars. Pitchers flowing with light beers, wings and tots galore, Dr.‘s Inn is one of those top spots for a brewski post-kickball/softball/long day. The wings and bar food(read: tator tots, pizza logs, mozz sticks) are an indulgent treat. Their wings are actually pretty awesome — sauces like buffalo, BBQ, teriyaki, and garlic parm — cheap too 10 wings for ~$ 7. Honestly I don’t think anything in a basket here exceeds $ 7. It serves its purpose for the«I need a beer somewhere within 2 feet of my current location» moments. Sometimes the bartenders cop an attitude, but usually that’s just the girls. The guys are pretty cool as is the door guy, he’ll chat you up. They have darts and pool, tons of tvs showing all sorts of sports — they even had tennis on, which was pretty cool to watch at 12am on a Weds. Sundays they have free darts and pool, and 45 cent wings. Solid deal to rep Sunday drinking with friends — $ 2.75 drafts. Plus, they usually have a solid local craft beer or two on tap of you don’t want Labatt’s… But when in Rome, right? Drink among the regulars.

Great place to have a drink and eat, meet friends, talk and have a great time. Bartenders(Rey on Tuesdays) take care of you to the fullest.

i love this bar. right around the corner from me, makes it easy to walk home drunk. Ray is the heart and soul of the place. he takes pride in his work and goes the extra mile. he poured us a pitcher, and most bartenders will leave you alone till you need another. he fills his time topping you off whenever he sees your glass is low, always cleaning my area at the bar. i really appreciated that. great wings too!

Loved it back in the day, love it now. One of the only authentically dark, dive, good beer, good music, you will not find the I’m going out to a bar to be seen and act up for attention crowd here.

Been there 10 times. Last time it was an afterwork thing to try their wings. …Overrated yuk. Broken bones and deformed pieces with bruised meat sauce was good though. I asked for well done and got just above rubber… Each piece I had to force down. But yet my buddy is enjoying his… I say nothing and ponder his enjoyment… Ordering a drink has always been the same super small bar compared to the size of location… You usually have to stand between two customers with your money in the air waving it until seen… Rarely have a seen or had an open stool or ordering spot. Bartenders have no hussle. They chat with regulars and slowly take care of previous customer and then ask again… What was it you wanted again.

Im a college student who lives about a mile from this bar, for us this place is perfect for getting some cheap beer on a weekend night without having to go to East and Alexander. The bar is pretty chill as far as the atmosphere but dont expect to walk into the cleanest place. There is always plenty of sports to watch, darts, pool etc. And the regulars are friendly. The food is not great but it is cheap so i cant complain. The only downfall of this bar is the bartenders. I have noticed the staff is easily stressed by light crowds so i cant imagine how they would handle a busy night. If your looking to drink a lot for a cheap price on a week night while avoiding the bar district Dr. s Inn is definitely the place to go. Update: 12/10/2013: There are some new bartenders that are working now and they all have been friendly and fast and making drinks. Also just recently they must have done something about their beer cooler because the draft beer is now cold! Much better than the warm draft they used to sell. Very pleased!

This is a pretty chill place. I didn’t even know that this was a bar until a local told us about it. I stayed at the condo across the street from this place. It’s very convenient for us to go here so we gave it a try(walking distance). They have really good beer specials and live music on Saturdays. They have a mixed crowd here(age wise). It’s not the busiest bar so if you like that, definitely go here. Atmosphere is like any other bar, very casual, and personable. There are a lot more bars downtown that I would take my friends to instead, so if I ever come back in this area, I may consider bringing friends to this bar. Otherwise, I’d prefer Prepps!
