Came in starving, but didn’t finish my second slice of cheese pizza. Not very good. And weird to serve it in a box when I asked for it to be for here, don’t they have paper plates? Unless they didn’t hear me clearly. Too bad, because woman at the desk was incredibly polite.

Picked up a Fantastic Prime Rib Sandwich and Kaboom! Fantastic Food is all I can say and best of all Friendly Service. This spot is tucked in neatly on East Ave and you best believe I’ll tell a few folks about this place.

The guy at the cash register was handling cash and food simultaneously. No washing in between, and no gloves at all. He wasn’t just touching the plates and baskets, he palmed an entire sandwich to cut it seconds after he put cash in the register. Big no-no. Neither he or the guy in the kitchen knew what pumpernickel bread was… It’s right on their menu on the list of breads. The cash register guy figured it out by smelling it(he brought uncomfortably close to his nose btw) and said«I think this is it». His nose proved itself, it was in fact pumpernickel. I for one normally use my eyes to determine pumpernickel vs white baguette, but to each his own. I got the Mediterranean turkey sandwich. It was good, by no means great, but very dry. They also forgot to put the cheese on it. The bread was okay, but I doubt it was«freshly baked» as the menu says. Garbage plate was subpar and uninspired. The mac-salad was sad; like getting socks on Christmas sad. Like you question its validity as a gift, like I questioned if the mac-salad should even be called mac-salad. It’s ok inside, for what it is. 5 tables, cheaply painted walls, ceiling seen better days, and cheap flooring. The guy taking orders and working the register looked like he was sleep walking, and just seemed in a general state of confusion. He was polite and tried to be upbeat, but just wasn’t all there. He was really slow at taking orders and the food was even slower coming out. Shockingly slow 2.5 stars for effort, but nothing here stood out to me. 1 star for the food handling and service. They have some other sandwiches that sound like they’d be good, but I don’t know if I have enough hope to go back.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Had the bacon Mac & cheese. Nothing special — OK, but kind of soupy(microwave?). Prices are a little steep $ 3 for a cheese slice, $ 4 for a specialty slice. There are too many other good choices around here to merit a return trip. The people outside are entertaining though.

New so trying to cut you a break. Quality of food is generally good but messing the little things up. What you call a bagette is not even close. Ask for horseradish on the side, first time none, second time on the sandwich. Mac and cheese — used the buffalo with the Canadian bacon and the plain with the chicken. Slices aren’t bad, but NY style slices are usually bigger. So far not real impressed, perhaps sharing the kitchen with temple is too much… Not sure we’ll order again.
