I must go by this place countless times walking in the city cause it is hidden in the executive building. I saw a sign with specials, and decided to try it. My first order was the special; egg salad on lettuce, with tomatoes and cucumbers on the side(they were in some seasoning). THe egg was fine, but the veggies on the side were old, and the tomatoe was cut nothing disgarded, yaknow like you get core, hard knots, etc. SO, I decided to give it another try. This time a BIG cookie, and the Downtown Rueben with fruit salad on side. The fruit, was cut way to close to the core so there were very hard parts, and the Rueben was like dark brown slabs of a roast, over cooked, and dry as a bone. No dressing could help this poor thing. So they are now on my avoid list. However 2 positives!!! One is the big cookie, was decent, and the people there are super nice and friendly. Outside of that, it is a bust.

They now offer table service and the staff couldn’t be nicer. They are quick to remember you and your«usuals.» I come in about once a week and the food is always great and relatively inexpensive. They recently started doing a discount special, offering a $ 3 – 4 sandwich every day. Meatball Monday is excellent, tasty, filling, and cheap. Their salads are huge and also great. Great for downtown lunch.

Executive Bakery & Deli is a café, bakery and lunch restaurant in the Executive Building in downtown Rochester. The location offers a full coffee menu, baked goods including modern favorites like cronuts and pumpkin rolls, as well as a lunch menu that features salads, sandwiches and paninis. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. I ordered the delicious«Florence’s Favorite Panini» which featured an assortment of high-quality deli meats and a side of freshly-made chips. I definitely will be returning another morning to try a cronut!

A bit weird to order at the register then awkwardly stand around, would be much easier if you could order at the abundant counter space and bring a slip to the register. Lady at the register was really nice. Ordered a cuban with fries. They have battered fries which are awesome! Whatever they use for mustard is awesome as well, however the meat was quite thick and was still cold in the center after coming off the press. Going to try again in a few weeks when they get a bit more established.
