Delicious Italian food for reasonable prices. Haven’t had something that I didn’t really enjoy here. Whenever my girlfriend and I come in from out of town we make time to stop at Giuseppe’s!

Went here with some friends for dinner. This was my first trip there. The food was out of this world. This was the closest red sauce that I have had to what my family makes… Anywhere. The chicken french was perfect. The calamari with banana peppers and olives were very tasty and the portion was large. It did take a while for our table to be greated, but we were in a small room off to the side. After that service was perfect.

Yeah… I’ve begrudgingly been back since my last review. What the hell was I thinking giving them 3 stars? The service has gone to hell. The food continues to meh… the red sauce is still saltier than an old Irish pirate just starting some shore leave. The chicken parm is way over breaded and over fried. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is basically the chicken parm but rolled in Red Hot and butter… When I am dragged there because my associates and partners want a $ 9 sit down lunch, I try to decide what I will dislike the least. Don’t expect a refill on your drink… Or your food quickly… Or your food at the same time as your colleagues… Or food that won’t give you the odg later. One star. I’d give them a star and a half, but only because I’ll still eat there because some of my colleagues don’t mind it.

Giuseppe’s is a fine little Italian restaurant and pizzeria tucked away in the back corner of the FWS plaza(was formerly the Ames plaza and now the Planet Fitness plaza, I guess… the one next to St. Theodore’s) on Spencerport Rd. There is a dining room to the left of the main store area, so you can come in and sit down for lunch and dinner. They’re a family establishment, and one of the oldest pizzerias in Rochester. Bread and pastries are sold here. I’ve ordered pizza and wings here a couple times, and been satisfied with the food. The pepperoni and sausage pie I got was tasty. The wings were a bit average, but alright. I’ve also ordered their ziti with meatball pasta dinner, and it was nice with plenty of meatball goodness, and it came with complimentary bread and butter. The real strength of Giuseppe’s is their pizza prices, which happen to be some of the lowest around. 11 bucks for a 16″ pie is very good, as is $ 5.50 for a small. Plus, they frequently include coupons in the local paper, making their low cost even lower. The staff is friendly.

I had chicken French, it was good, but not the tastiest, I’ve had better. Service was slow.

Had Italian sausage patty sandwich. Excellent. Gnocchi? Excellent. Side salad was good(for ice berg) they dress it up pretty good but the blue cheese had way to much mayo. Steak subs are good too! Waitresses working hard as it was packed so my suggestion would be to add a couple more when you have two party’s booked.

My friends are regulars here and they asked me to come with them several times. However, it was always on Sundays, they don’t open the restaurant until 4:00PM. So one day I invited them for lunch on week days. We’ve gone several times. Nice family place atmosphere. Chicken French with pasta, Steak sandwich special, Chicken Parmesan, Penne a la vodka, Fried Calamari, are among the dishes we had tried. All good. The dessert area is very weak. Feb 2015

I was unfortunate enough to be introduced to giuseppes version of Italian fair at a New years party. There was a 12 inch $ 30 antipasta platter that was just canned goods dumped onto a plastic plate. Zero pride in what they sell, especially to food that will be presented to a group of people. Beware of any restaurant that has zero pride in the food they sell. Had I been the person that spent $ 30 on canned goods tossed haphazardly onto a plate, I would have been outraged.

Three of us were there this past Saturday night. Although we had a reservation, they took walk-ins before us and we were seated in an area that was a walkway into the dining room. It had 4 tables. We were next to a window and were freezing. We saw open tables and asked to be moved. Once settled, our dinner was fine. Dressed up iceberg salads were good. The person who had linguini with clam sauce was happy. Two of us had Chicken French that was soggy and swimming in butter. The side of pasta was delicious. I will go back but opt for a pasta dish. Not expensive. Decent service. Good house wine.

Bakery and Restaurant — this place is a no frills good olé’ Italian eatery. Fresh italian bread is instantly available when you sit down. The menu is full of classic dishes, but I need to comment about their steak sandwiches. BESTEVER. The steak is cut into tender chunks and the quality is top notch. Service is friendly, attentive and quick. Food is delicious and portions are generous.

Whoa! I feel like with all the different restaurants everyone writes about in Rochester, someone would have definitely reviewed Giuseppe’s. It is a little hidden gem in the plaza where planet fitness is on Spencerport Road. They have a take out part of the restaurant where you can order pizza, wings, hot and cold subs, delicious fresh bread and some delightful sweets. Then they also have a sit down area where you can relax and have some home made food. I know Rochester has their fair share of Italian restaurants, but that is why I am so picky with the ones I go to. If I am going to consume an abundant amount of pasta and sauce, I am only going to go to the place where I know it is the best! Giuseppe’s has, by far, some of the best sauce I have ever had! Sometimes red sauce can be very acidic, but not here, have no fear, you won’t need tums after you leave here. Also, their fried calimari is always seasoned perfectly and golden crispy. My mom usually order about 10 to 12 lb. of it for Christmas Eve! They have a great other Italian classics-you can’t go wrong with anything you pick. If you are not in the mood for pasta, then definitely get the steak sub! Something that a lot of restaurants miss when making a steak sub, is seasoning the meat. They think they can chop up steak, throw it on a bun with cheese, peppers and onion and you won’t notice– but you do. The steak that Giuseppe’s uses is great and the bread is out of this world! They also have a pizza, wing and salad buffet that is dirty cheap offered during lunch hours! They have all their bases covered when it comes to great food! This is somewhere I definitely recommend to go to get some solid Italian food.
