This is a fun and convenient way to get some samplings from many different breweries all in one locale. With 30+ vendors there is certainly some thing for everyone to find enjoyable, they were even a number of Hard Ciders, and a hard Root Beer, a one Brandywine, to please the Gluten free folks, or those who just like cider. If you’re considering going, seriously weigh the option of the VIP ticket. Yes it is $ 10 more but it gets you an extra hour to sample and the crowds during that VIP hour are significantly less, you you have the chance to visit most booths and to talk to the reps about their samples and the brewery without having to fight for their samples. When the doors kick open for general admission the crowds swell and lines start forming. Although the sample sizes are approximately 2 ounces each, another consideration is possibly having a designated driver, as 30 samples is about 60 ounces(assuming you only get one per vendor– not likely) or the equivalent of 5 standard beers in either 3 to 4 hours,(if you stay the whole time) so think about and know, your tolerance levels. What goes better with beer than food, not much, … and between the food trucks they have serving outside the back exit door(blocked off for re-entry) and the popcorn vendor inside, and the BBQ samples(this year 2015) there are plenty of noms to compliment the brews. Two things I saw being under utilized, where the table-stations set up with water to give you the opportunity to rinse your glass(and your palate), or dump that one beverage you didn’t like(very helpful to clean your glass amid all the different flavors, and the«Silent Disco» which had not yet begun to groove with the crowd by the time I split.
