Hobby has a helpful staff and is well stocked in supplies. Prices are fair and they always redeem the online 40% off coupon without any headaches. My gripe is with the lines at checkout. Most of the time it’s two registers open and line 1 usually has someone returning items/getting out their dusty checkbook to remind us all of the good ol times in the 80s.

Great store for everything crafts. I’ve used them a couple times for framing also. If your into making your own home decorations they have everything from silk flowers to painting supplies. Lots of crafts for kids too. A great place to get supplies for weddings and party décor. Use the coupons from the paper.

This was my first time shopping here. Its compared to à Joann Etc without the lines at checkout. It was more open then Michael’s. I liked all the home Décor and signs for your home. We stopped here between baseball games and had only 30 minutes to shop. There is an online coupon for 40% one item but didnt need as everything I bought was 50% off. I assume its marked up that anyway. I may fréquent other Twin Cities locations but none are close to my home. Some people dont shop here due to the Owners Christian beliefs and heathcare options against birth control but I’m not opening that can of worms. Its your Right to shop here or go elsewhere.

I always forget how much i enjoy this store until I step foot inside again. Upon arriving the lobby is full of seasonal outdoor furniture. They currently have some very funky and eclectic loveseats and benches for a sunporch or inside the home as they are upolstered in a very gypsy inspired fabric. Love Them! they have everything from pictures, fabric, furniture, cards, stamping, scrapbooking, painting, supplies. I saw some really cool burlap flowers there so a cut above your average run of the mill fake flowers i hate. Typically you can print off a coupon online too. One downfall is they are not open on Sunday and that tends to be a day I am off just checking things out.

I also almost go into seizures when entering this store. I usually convulse my way to the 80% home good section as soon as I arrive. Their selection of chicken shaped nick-nacks is impressive. Say you are looking for a checkered black and white chicken salt and pepper shaker sitting on top of a pumpkin, odds are they have it. Say you’re looking for that same salt and pepper shaker with lazers that shoot out of the chickens’ eyes, if they don’t got it, they got the supplies to make it. I would strongly reccommend knowing what you’re shopping for before walking into the store. This store is to women what the man mall is to men. I once found a man who accidentally wandered into the store in the fetal position sucking his thumb near the quilt batting and sewing notions department. All he wanted was some glue for his model airplane and got lost for 15 hours. The cashiers have wisened up considerably the past few years. They will scour the flyer to see if what you are buying is on sale or not. A few years before they were more lax about this. The sales are good, but can be annoying if you’re waiting for a specific department to go on sale and have to wait. Prices are ok and competitive with other craft stores. They’re closed on sundays.

Hobby Lobby kind of bums me out for some reason. It’s really expensive for most stuff(especially considering what you’re purchasing), customer service has been non-existent to terrible every time I’ve visited, and it’s full of cheap knick-knacky junk I wouldn’t actually want. If you want an art store, Hobby Lobby doesn’t fit the bill(sadly). Between these faults and their overtly religious proselytizing on their website, I try to avoid it if I can and shop for art supplies in the Cities instead.

This is the mecca of craft materials for me. I hear the sounds of angels sing as the doors open. They have by far the best yarn selection I have ever encountered. They always have discounts on stuff, atleast 30% off selected departments. They have more craft supplies than you can shake a stick at. I almost have a seizure every time I go there because my brain is so overwhelmed with ideas for what I would like to make next. Canvases, paints, fabrics, miniture figures for. . minture things, craft sets for kids, floral design stuff, aisles of scrap booking materials, stamps, patches, stained glass things.. .oh gosh! It is an artists dream!!! Or for the average gal like me who’s dream is to be an artist!!! It’s just great. Great great great! Check the hours though, they are closed on Sundays.
