Terrible suits, terrible salesmen. I am embarrassed to admit walking through their doors.

Echoing what some other reviewers noted: while the store is spacious and clean, the size selection often doesn’t cover«long» folks. The salesmen are pretty ambivalent and when you walk in they’re frequently chatting with one another or sitting down, and usually don’t «jump up» to help you out. They’re not necessarily dressed very nattily either, so it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in their opinion when you seek help. This store is about the same as any other Jos. A. Bank you’ll walk into.

This Jos A Bank is large, well-organized, and clean. There were a lot of staff present; however, they were very very pushy, trying to convince us to spend $ 200 so we could get $ 40 off(even though we clearly said we were in there for one pair of slacks), and showed us at least 3 pieces of luggage that were on sale. All-in-all, this is just like any other retailer… but just be wary of the pushy staff.

First, the quick and straight up review for this brick and mortar store. I have been here at least five time in the last few years and have always gotten good decent service. Even when I have done returns or exchanges on orders from their website the guys here have always been polite with a «no problem whatsoever» attitude. The clothes range from decent to nice and the prices usually follow along with that. Always wait for the sales, always. 3.75−4.0 stars. — - — - — - - Part two, the long version. While ‘Joe Banks’ does sell«causal» clothes, like sweaters, pants, and coats; the main deal is Suits, Dress Shirts, Ties, Dress Pants, and Sport-coats. Why not five stars, well two things that reflect somewhat on the JOS A Bank company rather than solely on this store, [1] the service has an obvious but underlying commission-sales aspect(not high pressure, but its there — not usually a big deal) and [2] like all physical stores they don’t carry enough selection to «suit» my shopping needs, as my 44 x-long size is on the outer edge of their standard inventory. FYI, their traditional cut clothes can be rather full,(their dress shirts are down right puffy there is so much extra fabric) so you may want to check out their Slim or tailored cuts for some clothes if your trimmer than the now average male. Tip# 1 always buy on sale! Unless you absolutely need it now, wait, they will have sale soon and many are 50−60−70% off so it makes no sense to pay full price. Tip#2 unless it is an emergency, comparison shop, and I mean really do it. Look at different styles and suit lines and price ranges. And be willing to either push the sales person away or into being more assisting, whatever you need. Tip#3 do what I frequently do, look on-line and then visit the store, and if need be buy on-line, and get it tailored at the store or elsewhere. Tip#4 if this is a new or rare experience for you, take a trusted friend or partner with you. Not a drinking buddy or a wing-man or a side-kick, this isn’t a bar or B-movie. Take your GF/spouse/partner/BF, or whomever it is that you trust to tell if that cut or color looks good, or terrible, or great on you. Not everyone looks dashing in Khaki. They should be someone who will aid you getting the best shopping experience, not simply in buying something. If you are thinking about taking your Mom with you, you may need therapy or a life coach more than a suit. IMO, you shouldn’t really be walking into a men’s clothing store unless you are willing to be a man. I mean man-up and admit what you don’t know, ask for help, and accept it. Or, if you do know something, or many things, about fabrics and tailoring, and already know what you expect in dress clothes, then say so and don’t be wishy washy. And by all means if you don’t like attentive service be polite but firm and say that you will let them know when you want something. Tip#5 if you’re dressed like you’re doing something serious/formal/important and you act that way as well, very often people will view and treat you that way as well. It can be enjoyable.
