I stayed in the hotel behind this plaza and ate here almost everyday. Loved the black and bleu panini and all of their desserts! The cookies were to die for, and everything is reasonably priced. A must see if in the Rochester area!!!

Chili’s center Hot Spot! Locals speak of this place as «Leaf, L&B or The Bean». If you’re a townie you’ve been to Leaf more times than you can count. It’s a family owned business that takes great care of their customers and employees. I’ve been coming here since I was little and eventually worked there for about a year. Even during the time I worked there I never got sick of the atmosphere, drinks, phenomenal food and the care and love the employees and owners have for the locals. It doesn’t have that overwhelming hipster vibe that makes many feel inadequate that majority of coffee places do. The employees are down to earth with the goal to make your leaf experience a great one. The atmosphere screams home. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the Rochester area!

Great place to meet for lunch or coffee and dessert!!! They have an amazing menu!!! Variety of coffee and tea! I drive 20 minutes just for their iced coffee! I’ve raved about them to all my family and friends! Even offer outdoor seating.

Very relaxed atmosphere. The drinks and food here are amazing. The paninis here are my favorite especially with the sauce it comes with. Very friendly staff as well

Try the Chicken BLT salad and ask for balsamic vinaigrette! The balsamic MAKES the salad. I’m not a huge fan of balsamic but there’s something about theirs that makes me order this salad over and over again!

What a place! The pomodoro panini is cooked to perfection every time I order it. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They always have two decaf options hot and ready which is important to me. Wish they had more locations around town.

Good selection of items. I have only been once, but the service was perfect: no lame small talk, just friendly, accommodating staff. The seating did feel a bit too clustered. I didn’t enjoy being able to read the book of a lady at the table next to me.

Leaf & Bean is a great spot in Chili to grab a regular cup of coffee or a specialty drink. They have a pretty wide selection of sandwiches and salads made in house that are quite delicious. Only downside to the food is that sandwiches come«as-is» aka no chips or side, those are extra. So while the food is good, to get a full lunch here ends up pretty pricy. I still keep going back though so they must be doing something right!

Consistently great coffee and delicious food. I love that you guys serve Jamaican Me Crazy coffee, which can sometimes be hard to find, and the food is always great! Your grilled Brookeview wrap is the best especially with that mustard you guys have. I wish you sold the sides of mustard by the bottle it would be good on just about everything!

A great place to grab a good cup of coffee. Their prices are pretty reasonable and the staff is always friendly. It does tend to get pretty busy(and a bit cramped) and a bit noisy, so not the ideal place if you’re looking for someplace where you can sit and have some degree of peace and quiet for a bit. As for their sandwich menu, they have some okay stuff but I would recommend avoiding anything with chicken since every time I have ordered a sandwich with chicken on it I find that the chicken is undercooked(on sandwiches where it is supposed to be cooked). They used to have a few sandwiches with roast beef, they were some of the best sandwiches they had but they are no longer on the menu which is really unfortunate and a big reason why I tend to just stick to their coffee and pastries now.

Leaf and Bean is a great little gem on the West Side-Gates area. I think it is a great place to catch up with a friend, or do some work. I do agree with previous reviewers, in terms of the ordering process. The food section vs. the cashier section makes the process a little confusing, causing people to stand in the middle of the floor with their mouths open. The dessert case is pretty stocked, and they have a lot of choices. I have enjoyed a few of their breakfast sandwiches(I am pretty sure they aren’t made with real eggs though…). Taste your coffee before you leave. Sometimes it is watery or weak, other times it is spot on. It depends on who is working. If it is nice out, they have a great outdoor seating area. On Saturdays, there is a public market across the street, so it is a must-stop before or after you get your produce.

When we are in Chili we always make a visit here. They have good coffee selection and a lot of flavor coffees. They have good soups and good sandwichs. They got rid of The Howard sandwich which was one of my favorites. But a good place to go to.

I always enjoy coming here. It’s very comfy on the inside and the baristas are extremely nice. Yes, as are many coffee shops, it’s a little pricey but not outrageous. Today I kept it simple, coffee and cocoa with a egg an cheese on a sesame bagel breakfast sandwich. $ 3.50 for sandwich. Sit back in a comfy single seat chair and take a breath and unwind your mind for a minute or two. Quality service and atmosphere gives this place a high rating. About the only negative is that it’s so nice, it’s popular to the point of being crowded. Crazy huh.

FAVORITE coffee shop in the area for sure! Given all Rochester coffee shops, this is my go-to, which is saying something because there are a lot of coffee shops! Coffee and food are wonderful, fresh selections. Staff is so incredibly friendly. Atmosphere is perfect for studying, meeting up with a friend, or going on a date. Nice outdoor seating area as well.

Nice little café with a decent breakfast and lunch sandwich menu and a variety of decent coffees. One odd thing is the queing. On my first visit, I waited patiently in line to place my order, only to be told that you can only order coffee and pastries at the register. I was redirected to the breakfast/lunch counter about 10 feet away, where you place your order and they give you a slip that you then take back to the register and hence I had to start all over again. Why would you make your customers do that? They need a little lean thinking to rearrange their flow.

I wish I had more customers on the west side of Monroe County… Leaf & Bean is *just* far enough away from my stomping grounds to make it inconvenient. However, I do enjoy swinging out that way when my work warrants it. Beautiful shop, exquisite grub & a superior cup of Joe. Just enjoyed a late lunch there… I dined on one of their specials, a unique take on a Cuban sandwich. Tasty! I also THOROUGHLY enjoyed my iced soy latte. Wow! Puts Starbucks to shame. It’s worth the time & effort to seek out Leaf & Bean… give it a whirl!
