Contrary to popular belief, McDonald s will not make you fat after having one meal. It might make you lose a bit of of your hard earned abs, maybe even some of that arm muscle you took months to gain. Don’t fear, there are some healthy options you can order that will spare your physique. So you would assume to get a salad right? Wrong, way to much unnecessary items are put into. Dressing? Croutons? Oils? Cheese? That and much more will make it more dangerous then a simple chicken sandwich. For you health nuts, chicken is probably the best thing to go but go for grilled, not crispy, this McDonald’s likes to deep-fry that sucker, sucking out the nutrients. Another great alternative to get here is the classic chicken nuggets, practically the only thing besides the sandwich that I will eat at any McDonald’s. No, there is no slime in them, but it’s not all chicken. Regardless, it’s fast food, when I resort to picking this up, I just eat it because if I start to think about… let’s just say the staff should have a mop and a bucket of water ready. If you must have some beef, go for the simple stuff, like a hamburger or cheeseburger, those won’t do much damage to your system. Oh and for those haven’t visited in about a few years, don’t count on light lemonade, that was removed years ago. That just covers the basics of food, any McDonald’s will carry these miserable food items so the only thing that can separate this branch from others its it’s service and restaurant design. No, these factors don’t save this location at all, it’s a fast food joint but it is necessary to at least cover it. Be that as it may be, design. You’l notice the outside looks like it did about ten or twenty years ago, that’s because it was never touched, sporting the original gabled roof with the stripes, rectangular design, and large pane windows. This is the design that I personally prefer but if you like the more«modern» designed restaurants, you may consider passing it up… just walk inside and you’ll quickly wish you hadn’t. The interior is completely redone like most McDonald’s in today’s time. The dreaded neutral brown’s and blacks cover the eatery complemented with comfortable booths, stiff chairs and tables, and a general feeling of plainness. I don’t know if this was the intended design but it doesn’t feel like a fast food place on the inside, more like a coffee shop you would find in the heart of downtown. It’s nice and all, but not my style at all. So setting that all aside, the service? It varies from time to time. I’ve had the most polite and nicest people for a few times but then it would just teeter totter down to the most disinterested and rude people who would not even acknowledge my orders without a sigh and«will that be all?». The drive-through is quick, much faster then the location closer to me. We are in Rochester! There are so many better options for burgers and chicken that you can find in local businesses that probably need the service and popularity that McDonald’s doesn’t really deserve! It may be quick and easy but if you are really craving some meat, drive a bit down Ridge Road and you’ll find a much better food experience then what you can get here. If I may add, the one thing that saves this from a one star is the sometimes good service. The food is the same for all locations, I like it, but i’ts not my first option.

Man, I don’t know what to say about places like these a lot of times. They’re fast food chains, designed to be a repeatable, predictable, and congruent experience each time you visit them. I guess I come here out of convenience. I grab my coffee or nuggets and go and the drive thru is usually pretty darn fast, even during the busier times. I’ve also been coming to this particular location for years now because of the renovations and it now has a nice coffee house-ish feel to it. Not much to complain about. It is what I expect and it delivers.
