MetroCast 75Mpbs/5Mbps Internet Service — I File A ‘Better Business Bureau’(BBB) Complaint. Oh yeah, forgot that the Internet was so slow had to upgrade to 75 mb. As you can see no where close. Oh forgot to say it’s up to 75 mb. Now understand their rolling out 100 mb. So do I have to get that just to get to «up to 75 mb’s»? that I’m paying for too. Sad that this is the only show in town.

I have been trying for the last 3 hours to get a payment arrangement for 8 days past my cut off date and they keep telling me «they dont do that.» I’ve spoken to 3 different customer service reps and a supervisor named wendy who was extremely rude and hung up on me. I’ve been waiting for over an hour for wendys supervisor amy to call me back. I’ve never had this bad of an experience with any company I’ve attempted to make a payment arrangement with. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had. If you want to feel like your business doesn’t matter and you enjoy people being catty and rude to you I would say get this service but if you like to be treated like a valued customer I would look for a more reputable company

My opinion of this company has not changed– unless it’s gotten worse, which I never thought was possible. My service has been unusable for the last two weeks any time after 6:30. After posting about it on their Facebook for about the hundredth time tonight, I got a call from someone in management about it– and literally the first thing she said to me was«You’re not our only customer.» Keep up that attitude, and you won’t have even one.

Metrocast allows itself to be used to send spam porn and phishing messages at random. They provide no way to report this, which proves that either they don’t care or they are actively promoting it. I’ve reported it to the FCC; I hope others will do the same. A trash company which should be shut down.

I don’t understand how this cable company and all cable companies can be an illegal monopoly. We only have one cable company in Milton. Satellite doesn’t have certain channels we want. So we have to have Metrocast. Metrocast has the worst customer service. You can’t ever get in touch with someone. Then our basic went up $ 7.00 and they took channels away from us. When and if satellite gets better channels, I’m on board fast! ps. don’t wait for a call back. They never call

I had Metrocast for years(formerly Rochester Cablevision). I really had nothing but problems with Metrocast(lousy quality, poor, unresponsive customer service, sub-par technicians, high cost… none of it what you’d desire for a service you’re paying good money for). I ended up getting Directv which has been fabulous. The picture on our HDTV is breathtaking and the customer service is excellent as well. I am however looking forward to Fairpoint’s new FAST service that is coming soon. If they get approved for TV, data and voice, I’ll be switching to that. If it is anything like Fios, I can’t wait to try it!
