Midtown Cab

The worst ever! I scheduled a 5am pickup to catch a flight. It’s now 530 am, tried calling them for a status and I get the busy tone every time. The dispatcher finally calls to ASKS ME — if his driver showed up. The taxi pulls up, now I have 45 mins to catch my flight. I told him I was very very upset. We got to ROC and he tries to drop me off at baggage claim?! He was lost! We had to go all the way around to departure. This was the worst part. HE CHARGED ME AND AT FULL PRICE. When I tried to argue with the guy he said, «You’re wasting time, you’re going to be late.» I was MAD and I ended up not making my flight but for other reasons. But still Mid Town was very unprofessional.
Took a different Taxi back to the hotel, «GENESEE AIRPORT TAXI» and they were great. It’s cash only before 7am after they accept CC. They work with the airport so if you miss a flight because of them they are liable up to $ 500,000. The driver was telling me, — outside cab companies like Mid-​town doesn’t offer this at all. It is mandatory for Genesee to have coverage, inspection maintenance and other certs to operate at the airport. I TRUST these guys.

Never again! I have lived in a few different cities and small towns and have ridden with several different taxi services. Never had an experience as bad as this one. Our driver was texting while he was driving, and even when we asked him to please pay attention he kept texting with his hand next to the seat. At one point he waited over 30 seconds after a light turned green before he moved – and only then when we prompted him. Worst of all, he would not turn his high beams on when we were on a long, winding road where there are always lots of deer. Awful experience – we will never use Midtown again.
