Words will far short in trying to convey how incredible this place is. It a great place for a birthday party or just to try something new. The staff is amazing. Very relaxed and patient, and no pressure, their only mission is for you to have a great time. Experienced climber will find a wide array of routes to test your ability’s. Every one is very encouraging and no matter what your skill level, everyone will have a great time.

Prairie Walls is an awesome little gem in Rochester. Currently owned and managed by the same man that founded and built it. The prices are right and the gym is very accommodating of both new and experienced climbers. Guests quickly get to know the staff and become a part of Rochester’s climbing community. A variety of classes are available to learn how to climb, belay, etc. Gear is available for purchase. My friends often complain that there is nothing to do in Rochester. When they do, I suggest they try the climbing gym.

If you like rock climbing at all, you’ll love Prairie Walls! This place has three different climbing rooms, including a bouldering room. The community there is pretty cool, and they often take trips out to places like Barn Bluff in Redwing, MN. They have birthday parties, Boy Scout Merit Badge sessions, climbing teams and other stuff there. They also sell a good amount of climbing equipment for sale.
One downside: It’s a little on the expensive side. If your really serious, get a membership.

Has a variety of great routes to climb. Both top-​rope and bouldering. There is also an amazing climbing community that regularly shows up on weekdays.
