I went here for my bachelorette party and it was amazing! I’m a karaōke fanatic! You can do karaōke two ways here. You can stay in the public lounge area with a bar and sing in front of the public like you would at any bar. There isn’t a cover of you go this route. You can order food here also. They have virtually every song imaginable even newer ones. The sound quality is the best I’ve ever heard. They use wireless microphones so you can sing wherever you’re sitting. The bartenders even sing behind the bar making it so much more fun. The only negative was that the sound can be too loud at times. I had to cover me ears some of the time. They could turn the volume down just a little bit. The food is alright — they make food all night long I think. I had so much fun! If you want a private room — you can rent those out also. This I haven’t done yet — but they did show me the rooms. It would be cool for a birthday party or work party. I like singing in front of strangers so I liked doing the public lounge singing. I will definitely be coming back!

Went here last night with a big group we had a room reserved, I liked the place I liked the service, I did not like the lack of selection for music they had almost no Spanish music and very limited artist in English, other than that we had a blast would definitely do it again if they add more music being a karaōke place they should definitely have unlimited songs…

On a recent trip to Rochester, I checked this place out. Having checked out numerous karaōke spots throughout New York and anytime I’ve traveled, it was nice to see there is, in fact, a place whose entertainment is solely karaōke. Revolution Karaōke may have only opened a year ago, but it is a very nice place to go and not only be entertained but where you yourself can be the entertainment. They have karaōke six nights a week Tuesday through Sunday. I found the staff there to be friendly, outgoing, engaging, and extremely helpful. Their KJs are knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to my next trip up to Rochester, NY, and stopping back in again.

We called ahead to get a private room on a Friday night. The place is nicely decorated with updated equipment and perfect for a fun night out. They’ve got a decent selection of oldies and new songs. However I hope they update their menu selection if they want more people to eat there and improve their food. We were pretty hungry and ordered the hibachi burger and nachos. The nachos were pretty bad, I would think it’s pretty tough to mess that up. Taco Bell has better nachos. My soda tasted very chemically if you know what I mean. I would go back for just bottled beer and singing. I also got pretty sick later that night but can’t really say if I had food poisoning.

I really wanted to like this place. I think it’s a great idea to offer private rooms, since not everyone feels comfortable singing in front of strangers. The only reason we went was because a friend had a Groupon. Even with it, it was absolutely astronomically priced… I could have bought my own pretty nice Karaōke system for what we paid!!! The boast thousands and thousands of songs… and most are Japanese. Sorry, doesn’t help me at all. Good concept, bad pricing. most of the rooms were empty, and now I know why.

Attended a birthday party here. Have never been before. It’s a fun spot for sure. The service seemed friendly and I’d come back. Seems like a fun spot for a girl’s night or a date night.

Bouncers are friendly! Bartender was attentive, didn’t leave dirty napkins or such around my drink and eating area. They had had pizza rolls on the menu(high school throwback!), plus Henny and lemonade, my favorite drink. First impression was on point. Pretty good talent, young college to older crowd. Sports bar feel with modern, funky art. Full bar with about 8 – 10 beers on tap. I found a stool with an outlet right by it — win for me. Clean bathrooms, another plus.

Hands down one of the best nights with friends we have had in a long time. Rented one of the large private rooms for my husbands birthday last night. We sang our hearts out for 4 hours and laughed harder than we have laughed in a long time. Private rooms come with table service which was outstanding — our waitress checked in on us every ½ hour and was extremely responsive to our requests. I brought a cake for his birthday and they provided us plates/napkins/forks for no charge. Computer systems are within the rooms so your group can find their own songs, without the need for a DJ. The rooms are decorated in crazy neon colors, bench/couch seating and lights/strobes like you are in the middle of a concert. We had a blast. Song selections are great — I think they could reduce the amount of chinese/Japanese song and maybe increase the amount of english version songs if they want to attract people keep coming. I would say that bartenders need some work. They have a martini menu but a couple of the ones we tried were either too strong or lacked taste. We ended up sticking to pitchers of beers. The main bar area had a very«Taylors» vibe to it and didn’t feel like an area I would really hang out at — the private rooms with friends is where it’s at. Great idea for this area.

Great experience from start to finish. The manager was absolutely helpful and he informed us of the different types of deals they had going on. Although the music selection could be better/easier to navigate, it’s definitely more advanced than any other karaōke bar I’ve been to. The drinks were pretty good — my friends had the Berries & Cream drinks. We had a blast! I would definitely come back again. Thank you guys.

Oh my I wish I could really belt out a tune. I hear you can tune a piano but you can’t tuna fish… or me for that matter. Chris B. and the Unilocal crew said it best, put on your singing shoes and your best attitude because it’s what you make of it. I have absolutely no other karaōke bar experience to compare it too but for my big debut I’d say bravo. The staff were nice, the environment was kitschy. The price is friendly and the songs varied. An encore may be in the future.

I’m so glad Karaōke was finally brought to the Rochester area! This place has private rooms(which is the best), open Karaōke stage, and an open bar with some food. I didn’t get a chance to try their food, but they have a wide variety of drinks available. I went with a group of 10 and booked a private room. There are a variety of packages available, which with great because you can decide on whichever suits your party the best. There have been a lot of comments here about songs being hard to find, and I definitely have to agree. Their selection is pretty nice with a variety of different languages, but the search function doesn’t seem to work for some reason, so we mostly scrolled through the songs and added songs we knew. There’s also a nice«Random» feature for the songs on your play list. Our server was amazing and lots of fun. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She even came in and danced and sang with us for a while! I would definitely recommend this place. Karaōke is a ton of fun, and I’m so glad I no longer have to drive to Buffalo! The atmosphere at Revolution is great and all the employees I interacted with were very friendly!

It is as enjoyable as you make it. Go in with the right frame of mind and you can have a really good time. Worth return trip! We reserved a small room for 8 for two hours, because we were expecting 6 to 8 people total to be there at any one time, but got as many as 11 at one point and it worked o.k. if not a little crammed, but it just added to fun. Next time, I’d recommend taking the risk and getting the larger(medium) room. If you are planning for a meet-up or a party, you’ll definitely want to check out their website ahead of time and get a idea of what options would work best for you. Their«happy hour» prices run until 8 pm so there are good deals to be had on both private rooms and drinks and foods. If you are getting a private room(as compared to hanging out in the main room bar) three things you may want to consider:(1) you’re running a tab on the room so it is super convenient to get your drinks(and or food) brought to the room so you and your singing buddies don’t have to trek out to the bar, which makes it easier to keep the melodies humming along;(2) ask the host/server for one their iPads with their lists of songs, because it is much easier to find the song on the iPad and input that song’s corresponding number into the karaōke song interface/touch screen monitor, then it is to search thru the touchscreen/interface on the karaōke system, [yes, that may seem odd but it works much easier, also when a one person is singing another can search];(3) depending on when you want the room, reservations may be smart option;(4) yes, I know I said three, don’t be so picky, — take/invite friends who are willing to to have fun without be judgmental, since song choices and singing abilities are let’s just say, subjectively appreciated, the experience is much more enjoyable if it’s about sharing the experience rather than being a contest who can sing the best/worst. We didn’t order any food so I can’t speak to that, but I can say that the drinks were fine as far as taste goes and the prices for the beers and mixed drinks were not out of the range of reasonable IMO. Everyone working there appeared to make an effort to provide good service but there were some ups and downs. When we first got there the host gave us a quick tutorial on using the system [the computer for selecting songs, the microphones, and the wall buttons for controlling the system/volume and calling for service] while the system worked the infuse for search is not all intuitive and several of us tried different ways of searching for songs without much luck. Very disappointing to hear that they have 150,000 songs but none of ones that you want,(really?!) but thanks to Katelyn who brought us the iPad and showed us how search it(in both English and Chinese) to find songs, and while we did not find everything we wanted(disappointing) we did find several songs/artists that we could not find using the computer interface itself, that really helped save the evening! When we finished up our two hour session, there was a bit of a hassle in getting the bill as the computer would not recognize the prepaid credit I had from making the reservation, so it took the staff(four of them) about 12 minutes to override the computer and manually input the orders and credits. It appeared that they may have taken a small loss of the grand total, which I appreciated, in that they took the hit(even if its just a few bucks) for their system’s disfunction rather than trying to pass it on to the customer. Thanks. While I have never been to Japan or Korea I imagine that the difficulty in trying to search through a karaōke database there would be for me about equal to what I experienced in Henrietta, because I am guessing that this system and database originated overseas. If you’re a fan of K-Pop or are intimately familiar with contemporary Japanese Pop Stars you’ll be able to recognize many more songs than I was able to find during my searching. So while I would definitely go again, the song selection options are less than I hoped for, and the funky way to search for songs, started off as burdensome, which prevented this visit from being five stars.

I love the fact that Revolution Karaōke has brought this concept for a Karaōke bar to Rochester. Having a private room allows for people that me; that would never, no matter how drunk, would sing in public, to only torture my closes friends with the sounds I make when I try to sing a song. The service was not bad, we got our drinks and help when we needed it, and the price was fair for what we got. But there are few problems with the music selection and the Karaōke software, it makes it really hard to find songs, and to select them for playback. Also, the music selection is not my style much, so a good search engine would have helped a lot. All in all, it’s really the best place for Karaōke in Rochester, but it needs to upgrade a few things if they start getting competition.

A group of us met up here recently, and I had a invigorating evening! A fellow Unilocaler arranged for a small private room during happy hour… So…This is a story all about how… Oh wait. That’s a TV intro not a song available on karaōke. Here’s my take on Revolution. It’s a great idea to bring this type of Karaōke Bar to Rochester. There is definitely potential — especially given the location in Henrietta. Karaōke seems to be popular with a wide range of cultural and age groups, and I think the location near the colleges is a good choice. I love that they have a full bar. They can make pretty much everything, but it is more expensive than your regular neighborhood dive. $ 12.00 for whiskey and ginger-ale seems a bit steep to me. The ambiance is not bad — maybe a little too black-lightish for me(not sure that’s even an adequate description) — but the low light makes it better for hiding yourself in the crowd or singing from the bar and not being noticed as much. The private rooms are a great idea. Actually I think this is the greatest appeal of the place. Book private parties and events here, and have a blast with friends for a reasonable price. Some things that need improvement in my opinion are the computer systems. It seemed very difficult to search for songs without the aid of a tablet given to us to search for songs by one of the staff members. And while they claim there are 1000s of songs to choose from, they lack a significant number of classic songs I would have imagined would be available at karaōke. Ahem. JOLENE by Dolly Parton should be available for Karaōke. PLEASE. So while I think there is room for improvement, you are definitely in for a fun night of singing with friends. I’d check in out — and if I have the chance, I’ll be back.

It’s a very nice place. You have to make it fun, who you’re with determines how much fun you have. The drinks are good they don’t really have variety when it comes to food. This is a great spot if you want drinks and Kareoke.

A great spot to gather– and I hear you can order sushi from Plum House for any planned party. Also a light menu is available on site.
