Have had the pleasure of attending multiple events here. Very nice, clean bathrooms, and kitchen. Amazing view in the summer and winter. Perfect location for all types of events.

What a nice place to enjoy meetings or other venues. It is large and airy with beautiful views from the many big windows.

Yes, I agree with Linda H… Why not a 0 star rating. The people that run this facility are rude and borderline abusive. I saw a lady come in to use the restroom and was yelled at by some jerk of an employee. He even block her way as she was leaving the restroom, yelling at her about she could not use the restrooms. I may be wrong, but thought I heard her speaking Spanish, and Mr. Jerk said something like… «learn how to speak English» Is this facility connected with the City of Rochester? If it is, I sure does not speak well of the city. For sure plan your parties elsewhere.

I have utilized the Community House for many events — most recently on 2⁄23 for a Euchre Fundraiser for Special Olympics. The Community House was very easy to work with– before the event in planning and during the Fundraiser. The staff were very accommodating and arranged the tables better than I could have! I love Rochester and can not imagine a better venue for a local event! We brought pizza in and used their ovens. Nothing could be easier. We had a very successful and fun event and look forward to having it at the Rochester Community House again. Margaret

I am writing this and would give no stars if that were possible. The only comment I want to make is that the people running this place are extremely rude and not thoughtful at all. Stay away… don’t use this place!!! EVER!!!

The Rochester Community House is located on the grounds of Rochester Municipal Park. It has four rooms which vary in their capacity, and serves as an event space for weddings and private parties of all kinds, benefits, and classes. I cannot speak to the quality of the classes that the RCH gives, but they seem to have an interesting array of forthcoming classes: yoga, martial arts, knitting, financial classes, and more. What I can speak to is the RCH as an event space for private parties. The RCH was redone inside and out within the past 6 years, and has really turned around their facility. They now have an extremely attractive lobby area, and rooms made to match. Over the years I’ve been in every one of these rooms, and they all are maintained well. One thing to keep in mind is that RCH is an event space, not a caterer. If you are interested in having a wedding here, you’ll have to arrange a caterer to bring in food. However, given that RCH is a non-profit business, you can expect prices lower than any of the local halls. It would seem that renting the event space and arranging food separately would be more expensive than having it all done by one company, but trust me, RCH will make it worth your while.
