Overall had a good experience. My SO likes to wait until the very last minute to do things, so the day before his insurance ran out, he decided he wanted to pick out some glasses. Despite their having computer problems, they were able to get his order in because they knew that the next day he wouldn’t be covered.
They get stars off because when we went to pick up his glasses, the optician commented on how she didn’t like the frames that we picked out and said they weren’t «trendy.» It really rubbed me the wrong way.

Went here on the suggestion of a stranger. Yes, a stranger. Stopped a dude in line at Wegmans and asked him where he got his glasses, as I was defintley overdue for new glasses. He replied, the place across from ISSAC heating and cooling in the city. He stated «the service was second to none. Great peoples there. I will be back.»
Welp. It took a bit of research to find out where «the eye center across from ISSAC heating and cooling» was. I found it and booked an appointment.
I showed up and it was a legit eye doctors office, not some rinky dink lenscrafters or pearl vision in the mall. This was a professional office. Was greated with a smile by the receptionist. Filled out the new patient paperwork, and was greeted by the eye doctors assistant.
The office was large and modern. It appeared to be recently remodeled. Fresh and sparkling clean in appearance. This is the place for me.
Did the preliminary check up with assistant, she was great. Very through review of any issues, vision changes, etc. She took the time to explain alot of information to me.
Next up, Dr Amanda walked in and was prompt and professional. She ran a series of tests and was very patient, I had some questions etc. My vision had slightly declined over 3 years. Pretty predictable. I was then introduced to Sherry, at the Eye to Eye Optical Store inside the office.
Sherry was professional, perky and personable. She provided EXCEPTIONAL one-​on-​one service to me. She gave me a consultation on what glasses would look best on me and we tried on over a dozen pairs. I truly trusted her advice. A seasoned eye glass proffessional. I ended up with a pair of Versace glasses. Shery took many measurements and was very efficient and through.
They took a week to come in. I arrived today, with zero wait, sat down and she double checked the fit of my new glasses. Shery was very happy to see me and actually remembered me and complimented me on my new glasses… Stating «they looked better than I remembered… We did good». I left the office with a big smile.
Insurance covered a great deal of the glasses, all I had to pay was a low co-​pay and the difference that insurance would not cover.
Listen to me… Stop going to LENSCRAFTERS and the alike. Check out Rochester Eye and Laser Center. It was the mosy professional experience. I was treated as a priority, and the entire staff from receptionist, assistant, doctor to eye care consultant seemed to really care about thier jobs. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NOTHING LIKE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! If I could give 10 stars I would.
Check this place out. You will be extremely suprised! You will never do an eye doctor in the mall! Thanks to the dude at Wegmans that day… Without him I would have never found this place! Book an appointment! Be ready for the best eye appointment experience of your life !!

I was referred to Dr. Lindahl by my optometrist, Benjamin Peters at Eye Site because I had a pretty bad eye stye. I went in and left with an appointment to have the sty removed. Of course a few days later the sty went away, but fast forward to a month later and I was getting Lasik Eye Surgery.
I have always wanted to get Lasik because i have such a hard time with contacts and I am not a big fan of always wearing my glasses. I called to schedule a free consultation and I spoke with Stephanie and she gave me all the details and answered all the questions I had. Stephanie knows what she is doing! My biggest concerns about the procedure were price, and «what if i need to blink or move my eye during the surgery.» She assured me that I wouldn’t blink or move my eye. If i did move my eye from the red dot I had to focus on, then the procedure would stop. Even though Stephanie was so calm and informative, I still was freaking out inside.
After speaking to Stephanie on the phone, i then set up my appointment to have my eyes checked and to make sure i would be a good candidate and what type of Lasik I would need (there is more than one kind). Kim did my eye testing that day, she was awesome! Everything went great. Dr. Lindahl was a gem and went through all the questions I had already asked Stephanie and made me feel confident that this was a good procedure for me to have done. I then talked with Stephanie about the Interest free financing they have and I was sold! Next thing you know, a few weeks later i was walking in the day after new year’s, flex spending card in hand ready for my Lasik.
The whole process was very calm and not as nerve racking as I thought it would be. Dr. Lindahl has a well-​oiled machine working in there. Everyone was very calm and I wasn’t waiting for ever to get everything started. I was so appreciative of everyone taking the time to answer my questions and make sure I was comfortable.
Before you go in for the procedue they take you into a dim lit room to put some drops ion your eye. Jaymie, the tech, described everything that would happen. I tried to pay attention but i didn’t want to know too much lol. At that point my biggest concern was, what if i go home and rub my eyes, will this «flap» they speak of, rip off my eye.” I was once again reassured that «i was not going to rip the flap off my eye.» Phew!
Finally it was the procedure time. Dr. Lindahl came in, very calm and greeted me and then did a few measurements. i was then taken into the procedure room, which was very bright and clean and just had a very calm feeling to it. There was someone there giving me eye drops to numb my eyes. She was sooooo nice! I wish i knew who she was, but everyone had masks and head things ok, so I couldn’t tell who was who, plus i didn’t have my glasses on. She would count down to tell me how many more seconds I had left and she made sure my eyes were good and numb. The whole procedure went sooo fast! I think it took maybe 2 or 3 minutes. Once I was done, i was handed sunglasses and off i went.
I can’t say enough of how great this Dr. Lindahl and his staff is! I think the idea of Lasik can be a very intimidating and scary thing for someone. I was so happy from the begining to end, even at my post op appointments I felt like everyone really focused on me and made sure I was doing well. Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes when you see a new DR for the first time, you feel like they aren’t personable, but this is definitely not the case with Dr. Lindahl or his staff. I had minimal pain from the surgery, but i was very aware of how I would feel. The DR and all his staff made sure to let me know what I would feel and what would be normal due to the procedure.
I definitely recommend anyone thinking about getting Lasik done, they have go to see Dr. Lindahl first. You will be getting the best of the best working on your eyes and if you are concerned about price, no one can beat it or their technology that they use
